Victor Masih oh trust me, I already listen to SSLLLAAAYYYEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!! Sorry, it't the only way to say it. But I will say tom has completely different vocals from the vocalist of whitechapel.
So this the first time I listen to Whitechapel. I was seeing a lot people saying that they suck ass, but I think I just found another cool band to listen to!
Those are the people that are stuck in the past and only enjoy the early Whitechapel material and can't deal with a little change. Listen to their old stuff too and you will not be disappointed
+God This is one of their weaker albums IMO, so it's awesome you enjoyed this. Definitely check out This is Exile, listen to the song Father of Lies it's fucking killer.
Pro tip: Wanna listen to music on UA-cam? don't go to the comment section. It's like the people complaining about complainers have become as annoying as the complainers themselves.
I saw whitechapel somewhere around 2022 and at the time I was going through the worst breakup of my life and my dad bought me tickets to cheer me up, To make that day even better phil was walking up onto stage and my dad got his attention and got him to sign the shirt I got at the concert, Then got a photo with me and him in it, I absolutely love you guys whitechapel thanks for everything you do
I don't know why everyone is comparing this song to other bands. All i hear is whitechapel. They're always changing their sound but not fucking over us old fans by keeping their old style. Whitechapel is, in my opinion, the most musically inclined "deathcore" band in its genre.

I find it funny that music, something that's supposed to bring people together and create a community, brings about the most critical and whiny people ever. Musicians put out music for the fans. I think the least most of you can do is appreciate the effort. I mean this isn't a horrible song, it's pretty groovy and riff based and some of you are really tearing into it. What I see with this song is Phil mostly focused on fast vocals which I think is pretty cool. No it's not as heavy as we're used to but it's a good song. A lot of bands change up their sound and experiment so why does Whitechapel have to be any different?
Well said now days it’s this or that every thing is labeled and criticized or is wrong or right or think this think that very person has some negative ass shit to say lol Iam now seeing this comment is 8 years lol 😂

JJ Jacobs he is a rapper actually and hes joking but people take it way to serious. There trying to have fun and they fucking do it they get paid for playing music to fans, they drink and smoke weed and have a fucking good time. Music doesnt have to be so serious all the time. They give no fucks and have fun. fronz is hilarious
I wish that people played this song and other brutal metal songs like this out loud in their cars instead of the shitty gangster rap I always hear on the streets
+DeadLiner I hear people play gangster rap and pop music out their car windows all the time and it's annoying that I never hear anyone play metal out loud as well. Honestly most people won't think of it this way but maybe they weren't really into writing another record so soon? In their update videos they said they weren't given enough time to write and were writing on the road, same as asking alexandria having to tour and write their last record at the same time. Bring me the horizon took a year off to write and record sempiternal. These bands aren't the same genre at all but the point is in order to not repeat the same material or put out something not shit the band needs time and not be burnt out from touring as Phil said, not just to fulfill contract requirements. Pretty obvious Phil had writer's block like he said too
I'm so glad you pointed this out! We, myself included, fail to remind ourselves that these artists are just like us in the sense that they get writer's block too. Not too mention, as much as I hate to say this, this genre over the few years has been exploited nearly to its end leaving it very hard to come up with unique material. Most of these huge music labels are to blame.
Travis Courtney they're just becoming more progressive and testing out the waters with their new sound. Every band goes through this, look at BMTH when they released Pray for Plagues and Sempiternal. Waay to different but it's what they as a band like so what are we to judge.
Misael Gonzalez The problem is that this is not the music the band is wants to make. Instead the labels force them to write music which can be sold to the highest amount of people as possible. Not bad. Like most people said, very riff based and doesnt do much. Excited to hear the rest though. I really hope Phil does some monster gutterals on this album. He's still got em live, just doesnt record them often.
Jason Si So adding picking dynamics automatically makes this a Djently progressive song? Fuck off, the guitarists, and possibly the drummer, are obviously accepting new influences to their writing style. Stop calling everything djent because you think it makes you sound current. It makes you sound like a knob, and you should feel bad.
Matthew Rosic who said it's progressive? The term djent is an onomatopoeia for the way the guitar in some songs sound, or at least that's what the term did mean before being used as a basis for writing songs. By that description, this song is pretty djenty. Don't go calling people knobs for what they say if you don't even know what you're talking about...
Does anyone have the old Whitechapel shirt that said on the back, FUCKED AND LEFT FOR DEAD. in all big letters and had WHITECHAPEL at the very bottom. I believe it was a tour only shirt from their first headlining tour for the Somatic Defilement.
This is our way of life And we sleep away our misery In our blood soaked sheets we've left our homes to infect the world And addict you all to this deep south heat Our bodies full of scars Infinite blood to bleed Our presence stops your heart And leaves you six feet deep Fall to your knees and recognize your new found king Where we come from The saw is the law When there's no hope left We will not fall among the giants We still stand tall and we will not be stopped Just let it go and let the wind blow It's like a hurricane inside of your head The pressure's never ending, But your brain is still depending and comprehending Why it is still defending just let go And be one with the family Your life decisions have become our control And we will swallow this world whole You are You are Nothing We are Everything You are nothing Without us This is our way of life Taking cities one by one carefully choose your side You could be one of many sons This is our way of life Deafening ears and shutting mouths come and join our side Welcome to the deep south This is our way of life we've left our homes to infect the world And addict you all to this deep south heat Our bodies full of scars Infinite blood to bleed Our presences stops your heart And leaves you six feet deep Fall to your knees And recognize your new found king Where we come from The saw is the law When there's no hope left We will not fall among the giants We still stand tall and we will not be stopped Just let it go and let the wind blow It's like a hurricane inside of your head The pressure's never ending, But your brain is still depending and comprehending Why it is still defending just let go And be one with the family Your life decisions have become our control And we will swallow this world whole You are nothing We are everything You are nothing We are everything You are nothing We are everything
No matter what, people will always talk shit. "Oh they just keep making the same type of music for every album, it's so boring." "I hate change, this new album sucks, their old albums are way better." You can never please anyone..
True but the thing about most of those people is 1 they most likely cant do anything whitechapel is 2 they cant except the fact whitechapel changes as the people in it change

Not bad. Like most people said, very riff based and doesnt do much. Excited to hear the rest though. I really hope Phil does some monster gutterals on this album. He's still got em live, just doesnt record them often.
Atleast its not DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT the whole fucking time....
ace10hunter29 cept this is DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT DJENT
It's so amazing how phil manages to do those doubletime shouts at 1:13 live just as swiftly as on record...
Bro I absolutely love the vocals so much.
Whitechapel has impressed me once more. :3
Does anyone have the old Whitechapel shirt that said on the back, FUCKED AND LEFT FOR DEAD. in all big letters and had WHITECHAPEL at the very bottom. I believe it was a tour only shirt from their first headlining tour for the Somatic Defilement.
I have two friends With them . on lives in IL and the other lives down here in TN
I got one from cradle of filth that has a nun masturbating on the front and it says "jesus is a cunt" on the back haha
This is our way of life
And we sleep away our misery
In our blood soaked sheets
we've left our homes to infect the world
And addict you all to this deep south heat
Our bodies full of scars
Infinite blood to bleed
Our presence stops your heart
And leaves you six feet deep
Fall to your knees and recognize your new found king
Where we come from
The saw is the law
When there's no hope left
We will not fall among the giants
We still stand tall and we will not be stopped
Just let it go and let the wind blow
It's like a hurricane inside of your head
The pressure's never ending,
But your brain is still depending and comprehending
Why it is still defending just let go
And be one with the family
Your life decisions have become our control
And we will swallow this world whole
You are
You are Nothing
We are Everything
You are nothing
Without us
This is our way of life
Taking cities one by one
carefully choose your side
You could be one of many sons
This is our way of life
Deafening ears and shutting mouths
come and join our side
Welcome to the deep south
This is our way of life
we've left our homes to infect the world
And addict you all to this deep south heat
Our bodies full of scars
Infinite blood to bleed
Our presences stops your heart
And leaves you six feet deep
Fall to your knees
And recognize your new found king
Where we come from
The saw is the law
When there's no hope left
We will not fall among the giants
We still stand tall and we will not be stopped
Just let it go and let the wind blow
It's like a hurricane inside of your head
The pressure's never ending,
But your brain is still depending and comprehending
Why it is still defending just let go
And be one with the family
Your life decisions have become our control
And we will swallow this world whole
You are nothing
We are everything
You are nothing
We are everything
You are nothing
We are everything
No matter what, people will always talk shit. "Oh they just keep making the same type of music for every album, it's so boring." "I hate change, this new album sucks, their old albums are way better." You can never please anyone..
True but the thing about most of those people is 1 they most likely cant do anything whitechapel is 2 they cant except the fact whitechapel changes as the people in it change
