Automobili Lamborghini is one of the BEST racing games of the N64, the quality of this game is really high, the game has great gameplay, great sound, gorgeous graphics and the game doesn't even use the expansion pack! The game was really ahead for a 1997 game
This game was my official induction into racing games. 20+ years later I still love racing and have moved on to sim racing. I have to say, though, I can't believe this game was able to pull off a decent pit stop experience when, in 2019, we still have games failing to do the same!
Hey Glenn, did you know that this is actually a 4MB game? Yeah, Titus was way too cheap to even use the standard, tiny 8MB carts that all the early N64 games used. In the 300+ N64 library there are 13 games that used a 4MB cart. Asteroids Hyper 64 Automobili Lamborghini Batman Beyond Charlie's Blast Territory Dr Mario 64 Iggy's Recking Balls Jeopardy Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits Volume 1 Milo's Astro Lanes Namco Museum 64 Virtual Chess 64 Virtual Pool 64 Wheel of Fortune As you can see, all games except Lamborghini and Batman are limited in scope so i suppose there is an excuse for them to use a smaller than minimum cart size (still a cheap move though, especially for the TV show games than need voice acting and digitized graphics). But there is no excuse for Titus to use this size for a freaking modern racing game (at the time). I suppose its the best looking 4MB game of the bunch but come on, that was a very cheap move from Titus.
I was born in the release year...I feel kinda old now! Until my youth, Automobili Lamborghini and F1 World Grand Prix(also N64) were my favorite racing games!
Did you notice how incredibly twisty the track is to hide the draw distance pop up? But speaking of Titus, did they ever release Blues Brothers 64? I remember seeing a lot of that in previews. Racing games, I love Diddy Kong, Wave Race and Crusin' USA. those were my faves.
***** yea i noticed how twisty it is too and i thought it was to hide the draw distance but if you watch closely there are some straight aways that show up fine so maybe they just made the tracks super twisty just from bad track design.
Just feels like such bad track design when the corners are so tight the car can't get around them without basically stopping and it's multiple right angles straight after one another continually.
This was probably my favorite racer on the N64 with ExciteBike 64. I still have the cartridge with the original "Automobili Lamborghini". I really enjoyed playing it with my brother and cousin, epic battles. Awesome times and memories, it was probably the multiplayer we enjoyed and played most. Maybe not the best overall, BUT as others said when it came out there was any other race title that could beat this in graphics and realism. If you happened to be Italian or a Lambo fan you could not resist getting this. It also had a really cool soundtrack imo. Really nice and impartial job as always Glenn, thanks for the great memories
One of my favorites on N64, I loved unlocking the cars and searching for the best jumps/shortcuts. With multi-player we would have 1 person be the "robber" and the rest go ahead and wait until the robber started, then we would do our best to wreck and box in the criminal, then take turns seeing how many laps we could put in.
I think Automobili Lamborghini is, in fact, the full name of the company. That said, the Arcade Pro set was a real headache, especially track 6. Whatever you do, whether you're using Novice or Expert handling, don't use manual transmission in that set; you'll time out on track 6 just short of the finish line, even if you never miss a shift. I think one time I stalled out past the switchbacks, otherwise that's where I'd end up.
I never knew there were so many racing games for the N64 until I found this channel. Wish I found this channel much earlier because at the age of 12 I returned a $30 N64 that came nearly brand new with the box and all! I rebought one (unfortunately at a much higher price) and now can enjoy these games. That is, if I can afford them.
Re-Volt, XG2, Top Gear Overdrive & World Driver Championship all top the list for me. Re-Volt was the one I put the most time into, but I love them all so much that I could never rank one above the other, as they're so good at what they do in my opinion. Funnily enough, though, I have never actually beat World Driver Championship. I started playing it again about a month ago and I'm close to that point, but I've been slacking it again. The N64 was definitely one of the very best eras for racing games.
Oh yeah, I've definitely played Beetle Adventure Racing. When I was younger, I called it a guilty pleasure because it was Beetles; I thought I might be the only person liking the game, and that its mechanics were just quirky and that others might find it bad. All these years later, I find out that the game was actually very highly received. The Egyptian track will always be one of the greatest track designs in racing history, in my opinion. Hell, they were all amazing. Brilliant game.
Holy jeez, I loved this game back in the day. I played the hell out this, both in SP & MP. It is also one of the few console games my mother enjoyed and played, and still remembers fondly. My favorite arcade racer on N64 would have to be Cruisn' World, although I did enjoy other series like extreme-G, Mario Kart, and of course Automobili Lamborghini. I played San Francisco Rush 2049 later in lice, but still found it to be a fun game.
The great thing about this game is that it can be picked up for next to nothing. It might not be anything special but it has all the hallmarks to be enjoyed in a good arcade racing game. Smooth control, high speeds and a rock-solid framerate. For those same reasons, and the first-class Nintendo polish, F- Zero X is my favourite racer on the N64.
I love this game. Probably my third favorite racer behind World Driver Championship and F Zero on the 64. It was fun unlocking all the cars, and my brother and I would race head to head all the time. I remember us thinking the road looked so real lol!
I had so much fun with this back in the day. I picked my n64 in early 98 and this game blew my mind. Before I had a sega genesis (mega drive in Brazil) and I had never seen such beautiful, fast and exciting racing game before.
I remember renting this and playing for HOURS to get the tracks just right so I could keep up. At one point, I actually yelled at the game in frustration (thus waking up my little brother), and discovered it was midnight... I'd consider this one of my favs, as well as Top Gear Overdrive, and Rush 2049. Though I was a big racing gamer, so I liked most, if not all of them haha.
Mario Kart 64 because it was the premiere multiplayer racer, but if I knew anybody that could put up a competent race in a game, it'd either be WaveRace 64 or Top Gear Rally. Wave Race was a very personal 2p racer, with bumping being the only aggressive actions you can take, but with huge consequences (missing a jump/buoy), and Top Gear Rally having arcade elements similar to Ridge Racer 64, but without the learning curve of getting the drift timing immaculate if you want to take a corner quickly, but with the sense of breakneck speed you can accomplish the somewhat realistic approach to a course. Great video! At the time, for me this was a rental and a stinker.
The plot twist is that 6 months later Titus released the upgraded version with the 64 on the title, but only in Japan. Better graphics (pop in at least and weather changes too), is a english friendly game. True prequel to Roadsters Trophy, my top 3 racing game on the N64. Cheers from Brazil!
The Japanese version of this game, called Super Speed Race 64, offers improved graphics and effects, working headlights, night racing, and different weather patterns. Very much in the same vein as Top Gear Rally. This game, the American release, while solid, would have certainly been a "must buy" title if it had come with the improvements of the Japanese version.
I had no idea that this was a thing. I'm going to buy the Japanese version right now! I loved this game as a kid and always thought that it was missing some of the cool effects that I loved from MRC. The fact that there's a version out there with that stuff is amazing!
California Speed is probably my favorite, if mostly for nostalgic reasons. My little sister and I played through the whole game together years ago, and it was a blast. Lots of great memories!
This game is very good. Great graphic, great feeling of driving car and great soundtrack. The only problem I have with this game is colors are too grey. Funny, this game got mixed reviews, even in official Nintendo magazine they give 76%. If you love early NFS games this is for you.
It's actually kind of an arcade racer and a sim don't know if you know this or forgot to mention it but there's an expert mode in the options that changes the way the cars handle you have to consider twists in the road earlier and slowly lean into them and the cpus are even more aggressive
This was better game than i thought. Potential Ridge Racer beater, but the handling is not quite there. There is also nice funktion to look and zoom around the enviroment. I don`t like how much the actual frame (camera perspective) moves while you turn. I think while some shake on frame might be realistic, it can create nausea feeling on 1st person mode. JAP -version of this game, called Super Speed Racer has more content. It is 64Mbit while this release is only 32Mbit. F-Zero X is best N64 racer.
Interesting thing with this game is back when it was released, people were amazed they managed to fit the game down to a 4MB/32Mbit cart. This was half the size of SM64.
Favorate arcade style racing game on the Nintendo 64? Hard to say, Cruis'n World is the only one I have played and own on an actual N64. Based on videos I've seen and having played the arcade version, Rush Extreme Racing San Francisco will probably be my favorate once I pick it up. It's funny, despite being my first system, I think the N64 is the console I have the least amount of games for. Even my Sega Genesis has more games at this point, and I only got that running 6 months ago! Guess I do have fewer for my DS, but traded some Nerf to a friend for it just so I could play Advance Wars, so I haven't even touched the 3 other games he gave me.
I had this game, pretty fun to play back in the days. The big problems were the unrealistic steering and speed. You may be at 200mph according to the screen, but it doesnt feel like half of that speed.
You probably know this by now, but Automobili Lamborghini is the full name of the Lamborghini company. It wasn’t just something they came up with for the purposes of a game title. I’m more of a sim racer, but I enjoyed titles like this.
I used to love this game as a kid, I remember playing this game for hours on end and always trying to unlock the next car. This game really was awesome for the time, for me this was Need for speed for N64.
The controls in this one look quite twitchy. I may still have to give it a try though. Making a mini-game out of the pit stops is pretty funny and is somewhat creative, I must say.
This one looks like a fine game, i would love to have played this back in the day. Just read about it in the videogames magazine, but never actually saw any footage of the game.
Another great video as usual. Say, Glenn, I seem to remember a racing game I'm pretty sure was on N64, and I was wondering if you'd know it...- all I remember from it was racing an off-road type pick up truck along the side of a cliff and there was a silhouette of a driver inside who would kinda bounce around as you drove
They chose "Automobili Lamborghini" because that's what Lamborghini's car company name is. (They also have a separate one for making tractors under the name "Lamborghini Trattori", hence the distinction)
Yup I lived in Venice for a year so I’m all clued in for the Italian supercar scene but for a game name it’s pretty weak choice that many who aren’t really into cars wouldn’t get
Why would you be surprised they allowed Titus to take the reigns lol? I hardly doubt Lambourghini reputation rested in the hands of an N64 game, pretty sure Lambourghini's market isn't the videogame market.
No, however in terms of a brand retaining the high quality, premium luxury opinion of it never helps to be associated with a poor quality product with its name on it.
I have this game as well, pretty good, I have a soft spot for games that focus on 1 car maker (NFS Porsche 2000, Corvette, Porsche Challenge, etc...). My favourite arcade racer on n64 has to be Beetle Adventure Racing, I bought it on impulse for 5 euro complete in box. As a matter of fact the cart itself wasn't played at all so it was basically new. That game blew me away, it's still one of my favourite racers of all time.
Never been a huge racing fan on the n64 but remember getting a fair bit of enjoyment out of vrally back in the day. Anyway a good review of a title I overlooked at the time. I do remember the box art being colourful but still didn't part with the cash at woolworths or Dixons :) By the way is Commander and Conquer 64 a title you will be taking a look in future? I loved the PC and Saturn version and look forward to your take on it.
My favorite is Crusin World when you have to cruise the world and have to race on the Moon after beating the whole game. California Speed and Crusin USA ties as my close second favorite arcade racing game
Looking at this the biggest problem for me is the weird look of the back of the car. It's almost like its stretched and squished, unless that's the widescreen mode causing problems!
I picked this game up based on this review. I really enjoy it. The only thing I don't like are the pit stop minigames. I don't feel they add anything to the experience and would rather just get back in the race. That said, I do like the fact that parts wear out and that you need to refuel. I just wish it was automatic in the pits.
I always wanted this game as a kid but after watching this video I am so happy I didn't waste the little money I had on it. The Rush series and World Driver Championship were much better use of my money and I'm glad that's where I went.
I would need to give it one more try, but last time I check I felt very unconfortable with the game controls and cars physics. Maybe I should go a little further in the game to get used with it. My favorite arcade game on N64 in Roadsters, but I never played Beetle Adventure Racing and Ridge Racer so far.
Went to my local arcade today and they had some N64 games for sale and wanted to pick one up. It was between this and Paperboy 64, went with Paperboy, but looked up gameplay for this when I got home you have a video on it! Lol. Surprised I had never heard of this game
Can't help but feel most games on 90s consoles are what we would consider an "arcade" game on newer consoles. Except with full dev teams instead of a handful of people.
I love Rush 2, that game is great which has a wonderful gameplay and music! It is not one of the best race games on the system but I think is one of top 5...
Hey Glenn, did you know that Superman 64 (before it going to be released anyway) was actually going to be as simple and easy to follow like Goldeneye007 was? The one Rareware developed? Originally, you'd be given simple and easy to follow mission objectives, and they'd be straight forward just like Rarewares Goldeneye007 was! The only difference of course is that you'd be flying and be in 3rd person view. Titus wanted to try and improve on a lot of the sour mistakes they've made in gaming over the last several years and the commercials they showed for Superman 64 looked very promising, it had a lot of action, and it could've been a cult classic in the long run. The problem though wasn't because of Titus Software, but the publisher Warner Bros. Studios. You see, Warner Bros. studios didn't think Superman 64 would sell as it was original being developed for in terms of it's original concept. So what happened?! well, Warner Bros. basically told Titus Software to do the whole thing over again and develop the way they (Warner Bros. Studios) wanted it. Wish I could go into more detail about this but it's too long. But long story short, Superman 64 ended up being a bad glitch mess not because Titus Software, but because of Warner Bros. Studios' interference with the progression of the game. P.S. I know this review had nothing to do with Superman 64, but I thought I would throw this out there after you mentioned Titus Software not being a trustworthy developer; which I do agree.
I really thought you were going to be rough on this game. I remember a few reviewers giving this game hell when I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've always liked racing games, and now I race and drift real cars but the passion is still the same. This game, Mario Kart, Cruise N USA and Xtreme G are probably my favorite arcade racers on this system. I know there's some I'm forgetting, but I love the feel of competition.
Automibily Lamborghini is a great Game. I used to play it together with my friend in my friends House. I never owned it. My favorite Racer for the Nintendo 64 is Mario Kart 64.
I always had a lot of fun with my friend exploring in the free mode in Rush and especially Rush 2. Other than that, as far as racers go, it was hard to beat Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing
In my childhood, I remember it being one of those series that everyone who had a 64 either owned, or was pretty familiar with due to a friend. I never got too much in to 2049 (other than renting it once I think) but thinking back, the addition of wings to the cars was an interesting way to mix the series up. But that stunt mode/level in Rush 2 though lol Great time waster
I remember playing this game long before I had an n64 at a friends house and loving the pit stop bits. Diddy Kong is my fav racer on the N64 however I've been enjoying top gear overdrive a lot recently
I ended up getting this game from a friend (who also gave me F1 World Grand Prix and Mario Party) as he was getting rid of his N64. Did give this a big go and I do admit I had some fun with it, though I wasn't too huge on the rotating map as it was off putting.
I remember vividly the day I got this game.early in the morning, I got up about 5 and played Mario 64 before the sun came up, for some reason the cart broke. Later that day, when my grama and uncle woke up, we went to the swap-meet and my grama gave me a ten dollar bill. I was about 7 at the time, so of course they didn't let me off by myself, but my grama decided that I had been a good enough kid to deserve spending money. I got Oot at one stand for 3 dollars. putting the 7 dollars in ones back into my pocket felt really good. a few stalls down, I wanted to get dk64 but some kid snatched it out of my hands, and it was a good thing too, because i didn't have an expansion pack. at the next stall I found this game and decided to buy it, It just seemed like a no brainer to me, and looked like the best out of his wide selection of n64 carts. I remember always naming myself "Rusty" when i played the game, I have no idea what my mind was thinking. My fave arcade racer on n64 is most definitely Hot wheel's turbo racing, it was one of the first games i got for my n64, in fact, I got it before i could read so it took me several attempts to get the main menu and I loved it to death. I played it every chance i got through out elementary school. I might just have nostalgia glasses for it, but seriously a game I could sit down and play anytime. I remember always going and unlocking the "formula 5000" car right after switching it on and racing as that car, it was my favorite one. I remember once letting my good elementary school friend borrow it after noticing how alike it was to an arcade racer at Odyssey one (the local chucky cheese-esque party center that hosts like birthdays and stuff) and he enjoyed it as much as I did.
Diddy Kong Racing and if not counting karts, Beetle Adventure Racing. One I also liked a lot also but it got bad reviews(can't recall if you've reviewed it yet) was Monster Truck Madness 64.
Diddy Kong Racing is by far my favorite racing game but other top choices would be Wave Race 64, F-Zero X, Mario Kart 64 and Cruis'n World/USA/Exotica.
Great video as usual, I remember renting that game and really enjoying it. I have to say Crusin' World was the arcade racer I played and liked the most on the N64.
For me it would be Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA, I always loved the huge Variety in Tracks, Cities and Cars, it just had an Insane amount of content. But Automobili Lamborghini was a nice game too, however it felt way too slow for me and I never really new how the minigame for the fuel really was supposed to work.
Your reviews on arcade racers are really awesome, it's also one of my favorite genres. By the way, have you ever played Rumble Racing on the ps2, that's my favorite arcade racer, it won't dissapoint you if you try it.
I used to rent this game alot. I knew there were better racing games out there at the time but I liked this game for some reason. But my all time favourite was top gear rally.
While I prefer the arcade version, I grew up playing the N64 version of Cruis'n World and it blows my mind how Eurocom made a near-perfect arcade port considering the devs of the other two Cruis'n games on the N64 made lackluster (yet faithful) ports.
Cool vid Glenn. Do you possess a full set of N64 games? Or aiming towards it. Also do you run these videos on a pal or ntsc machine. This game looks too smooth for a PAL system surely?!
One of my favorites when it came out. Cool unlockable cars.. I had them all unlocked, but that is data is long gone! thought about doing it again sometime. Pretty cool game. Nice review!
not sure if you've covered world driver championship at all so far but i expect you will be covering that at some point if you haven't already ;), i consider it the best racing game on the n64 along with beetle adventure racing.
I said this before I like Beetle Adventure Racing the most on the N64 when it comes to racers. I just think That nothing beats Beetle Adventure Racing on the N64.
Never played HYYYYDDDROOOOOO THUUUUUUNNNNNNNDERRRR on the N64, but I used to play the heck out of it whenever we went to Dave and Busters. It's pretty dumb and nonsense, but I love it. Beetle Adventure Racing or Diddy Kong Racing would be more apt though.
the sound "go,go,go" will always be etched in my mind after playing this game
My favorite is "Beetle Adventure Racing" (the fact of hidden paths and Items like the Nitro are awesome)
Greetings from Guatemala.
bernardo hernandez thats an awesome game, one of my fav racers on the console for sure
Automobili Lamborghini is one of the BEST racing games of the N64, the quality of this game is really high, the game has great gameplay, great sound, gorgeous graphics and the game doesn't even use the expansion pack! The game was really ahead for a 1997 game
You taking a piss?
It's jerky, annoying, nearly uncontrollable, and yet somehow still loads of fun. A perfect representation of Lamborghini as a brand.
This game was my official induction into racing games. 20+ years later I still love racing and have moved on to sim racing. I have to say, though, I can't believe this game was able to pull off a decent pit stop experience when, in 2019, we still have games failing to do the same!
I love the shortcut where you actually have to drive through a solid rock wall, lol
Funny AF innit
Hey Glenn, did you know that this is actually a 4MB game? Yeah, Titus was way too cheap to even use the standard, tiny 8MB carts that all the early N64 games used. In the 300+ N64 library there are 13 games that used a 4MB cart.
Asteroids Hyper 64
Automobili Lamborghini
Batman Beyond
Charlie's Blast Territory
Dr Mario 64
Iggy's Recking Balls
Jeopardy
Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits Volume 1
Milo's Astro Lanes
Namco Museum 64
Virtual Chess 64
Virtual Pool 64
Wheel of Fortune
As you can see, all games except Lamborghini and Batman are limited in scope so i suppose there is an excuse for them to use a smaller than minimum cart size (still a cheap move though, especially for the TV show games than need voice acting and digitized graphics). Imgema thats very cool to know :) but yeah that is damn cheap of them hah
What was the copyright issue with the 64 name?
I was born in the release year...I feel kinda old now! Until my youth, Automobili Lamborghini and F1 World Grand Prix(also N64) were my favorite racing games!
think how old I feel! hahah
Did you notice how incredibly twisty the track is to hide the draw distance pop up?

I definitely hope that DK racing will come to the N64 online, seeing that Nintendo & Microsoft have some what of an agreement
Just feels like such bad track design when the corners are so tight the car can't get around them without basically stopping and it's multiple right angles straight after one another continually.
@@GTFour Yeah, no racing federation on earth would use a track made up of mostly 90 degree turns in real life.
Its pretty cool how there is barely any fogging and you can see pretty far ahead of you on the straights. Total opposite of how top gear rally is.
8 cars in this game:
1. Lamborghini Diablo
2. Lamborghini Countach
3. Porsche 959
4. Ferrari F50
5. McLaren F1
6. Bugatti EB110
7. Dodge Viper GTS
8. Ferrari Testarossa

"Nobody is converted into a racing game fan by this game"
I was as a kid together with Extreme G.
Interesting

Ryan AirZonkWorldChamp in my top 5 games of all time :)
Diddy Kong Racing is f*cking perfect!
Another one I totally forgot about haha. Blast from the past. Me and a mate like bed this one back in the day.
Played this game so much as a kid. Love this game!

That’s right, they should have just relaunched that version as a pseudo sequel in the west and maybe added some more tracks
I remember being at blockbuster videos and was just in awe with the graphics on the box art. Rented it and actually enjoyed the game.

This is a great game. I had a lot of fun playing it when I was in High School.
morrisseyowesmemoney I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way too :)
It's actually kind of an arcade racer and a sim don't know if you know this or forgot to mention it but there's an expert mode in the options that changes the way the cars handle you have to consider twists in the road earlier and slowly lean into them and the cpus are even more aggressive
Without a doubt Hydro Thunder is my favorite arcade style racer of all time.
***** i actually think this was a smaller cart than that...i think someone left a comment below about it
if u drive into the white fence at 1:01 between the crane and ship the game would freeze.
My favorite racing game on N64 is Top Gear Rally. Despite it being a tad clunky, I had a lot of fun with it and I adore the Barry Leitch soundtrack.
Great video Glenn. My brother used to rent this game when we were kids.
I’m more of a sim racer, but I enjoyed titles like this.
yup! I lived in Italy for a year and actually went to the galleria Ferrari too :)
Austin Mackert its certainly unique and is something a little more than watching an animation for it
This one looks like a fine game, i would love to have played this back in the day. Just read about it in the videogames magazine, but never actually saw any footage of the game.
Daniel Aguiar look at footage of rev limit too, would have been a cool game if it had of been released
I do remember the box art being colourful but still didn't part with the cash at woolworths or Dixons :)
By the way is Commander and Conquer 64 a title you will be taking a look in future? I loved the PC and Saturn version and look forward to your take on it.
Beetle adventure racing is my all time N64 racing game, since it was my first racing game and there were so much replay value to it!
Wardi Ismail one of my all time favs games :)
My favorite is Crusin World when you have to cruise the world and have to race on the Moon after beating the whole game. California Speed and Crusin USA ties as my close second favorite arcade racing game
Beetle Adventure Racing would have to be my favorite arcade racer with MarioKart 64 following at a close second.
MaxxSkywalker they are both awesome choices :)
Looking at this the biggest problem for me is the weird look of the back of the car. It's almost like its stretched and squished, unless that's the widescreen mode causing problems!
as a child i never undersfoof the craze for this game like my family members
I picked this game up based on this review. I really enjoy it. The only thing I don't like are the pit stop minigames. I don't feel they add anything to the experience and would rather just get back in the race. That said, I do like the fact that parts wear out and that you need to refuel. I just wish it was automatic in the pits.
Nice, a new review already.
And my answer to the question: Diddy Kong Racing.
LuffyMcDuck i have 3 reviews this week ready to go , this is the first :)
Except with full dev teams instead of a handful of people.
as a car guy i picked this game over mario, my entire childhood was playing. racing games.
The first racing game and first ever game I played was ridge racer64
thats a great game, sadly not as good as RRT4 on PS1 tho
Is it just me or does this game look like ridge racer 64?
I love Rush 2, that game is great which has a wonderful gameplay and music! It is not one of the best race games on the system but I think is one of top 5...
My first game when my parents purchased this awesome system for me..
I played this game a lot back then.
P.S. I know this review had nothing to do with Superman 64, but I thought I would throw this out there after you mentioned Titus Software not being a trustworthy developer; which I do agree.
bob mitch yeah the beta of it is online to play, buggy but playable
AcheroniD ill try to do the rush series soon i think, everyone asks for it :)
Can you take the arrow off in the settings??
I remember playing this game long before I had an n64 at a friends house and loving the pit stop bits. Diddy Kong is my fav racer on the N64 however I've been enjoying top gear overdrive a lot recently
Ollie Martin overdrive is cool, shame top gear hyperbike didnt surpass overdrive
Didn't know about hyperbike have you reviewed it?
Good review. Probably cruisin usa and San Francisco Rush 2049 are my favorites.
loved this game as a kid.
I ended up getting this game from a friend (who also gave me F1 World Grand Prix and Mario Party) as he was getting rid of his N64. Did give this a big go and I do admit I had some fun with it, though I wasn't too huge on the rotating map as it was off putting.
The only thing I think of with Lamborghini is 'The same design every year'.
I have to say Crusin' World was the arcade racer I played and liked the most on the N64.
cardman1031 it sure would have made a solid rental, id perhaps have been a little disappointed if i picked it up for full price
I bet it would have been fun to play back in the day.
was always an ok title, not their best or worst title
For me it would be Rush 2: Extreme Racing USA, I always loved the huge Variety in Tracks, Cities and Cars, it just had an Insane amount of content.
But Automobili Lamborghini was a nice game too, however it felt way too slow for me and I never really new how the minigame for the fuel really was supposed to work.
Your reviews on arcade racers are really awesome, it's also one of my favorite genres. By the way, have you ever played Rumble Racing on the ps2, that's my favorite arcade racer, it won't dissapoint you if you try it.
I remember little about this game. Pretty good, not as good as other racing games but it's fun.
***** indeed, its a simple pointless racer and doesn't try to be much more
I used to rent this game alot. I knew there were better racing games out there at the time but I liked this game for some reason. But my all time favourite was top gear rally.
lee constant if you enjoy a game thats all that matters at the end of the day :)
I love this game, it was 1 of my first n64 racing games😁😁
This game has its moments!
not sure if you've covered world driver championship at all so far but i expect you will be covering that at some point if you haven't already ;), i consider it the best racing game on the n64 along with beetle adventure racing.
Oh yeah, WDC is good
Loved this game beginning to end. I like Lamborghini's but it made sense to twist and turn things to hide the awful pop-up on the system.
AguyinaRPG hydro thunder is so bad ass ! :)
The 64 version is tedious and frustratingly difficult to complete as compared to the Dreamcast version.
I returned this game the day I got it. When Toys R' Us said it wasn't possible, my dad forced them to return it because I didn't like it so much.
Sensacional esse jogo é muito bom demais até hoje ainda eu acho.
