California Speed holds a special place in my heart because one time in a mall when I was like 12, I sat down next to this probably college age guy who was with his buddy and destroyed him. His friend made fun of him, and my parents just enjoyed the show.
Rush 2049 was head and shoulders above EVERYTHING else on the 64 for racing games. The graphics, sound, repayability, vehicles, variety, physics etc.. all on point. Even has a battle mode in it. The only rival to it would be Fzero X which was not on this list for some reason.

Extreme G mannnnn that really is one of the ones that took me to a bettee place. Diddy Kong Racing, Beetle Adventure Racing, Automobile Lamborghini, Vigilante 8 and 2nd Offense, and Star Wars Demolition were the ones i loves most. Half only rented never had money to buy so love this.

Mostly agreed but I consider the first Top Gear Rally game as fantastic, I sunk so many hours into it when I was young, it's not realistic but it's physics are still very unique and fun in an arcadey way and I also liked the soundtrack in it. For F1 I found myself preferring F1 World Grand prix over the Monaco game back then when I had rented them. I would also consider the first Rush game in the same top category as the other two even though it lacks the dedicated stunt mode. I remember absolutely HATING GT64 and the Extreme G games. GT64 I found was very visually ugly and didn't like the driving feel/physics of it and the extreme g games are also very visually ugly/uninspired and just not fun to play.

You could just call this every US racing game, as Japan got more stuff, like a sequel to Penny Racers (called ChoroQ 64 in Japan), called ChoroQ 64 2
