I hope they continue to refine the animations. The part where he separated the waist and torso - looked better in the original, The falling animation was more weighted and the limbs flail better. Also when it is propping itself up on the ground it looks to be dancing in place like there are collision issues. The way they moved in the original was a massive part of the atmosphere, please dont loose that.
I'm pretty sure they briefly mentioned that in their live stream. It was just a test to show off the damage. They haven't finished animations and FX. They say that their gonna add layers to it too. In the test it shows basically just bones underneath when you fire at them, but I guess they want to reveal stuff like muscle and such too when they add more layers into it.
I'm very excited but am going to hold from buying this game. And buy the Calisto Protocol first. Because EA deserves a big middle finger for shutting down visceral.
This remake deserves zero praise/credit. Cashing in on nostalgia after destroying the studio and showing no respect to the originals until Callisto was announced. Bandwagon hoping nostalgia cash grab.
Still holding onto that? Mind you, Callisto being made by the guys who made DS1 *doesn't* guarantee quality, it seems to me like that game will most likely be garbage, I wouldn't get your hopes up. I know I'm buying this game the moment it releases, because regardless of what EA has done, instead of holding onto grudges and shitting all over them because I've got nothing else to say about them and can't acknowledge that they do make good games, I actually forgive and not forget and can see that regardless of what they've done they aren't nearly as bad or shady as Ubisoft or Activison-Blizzard and this team genuinely look like they care.

This gives me hope and honestly looks incredible, I love the amount of detail and care they're putting into everything, just hope this isn't another Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary where the lighting really fucked a lot of the atmosphere the original worked hard to create, just hope they realize some areas *have* to be dark or incredibly hard to see in or navigate through, that's part of what made dead space give you so much anxiety the whole way through.
Ehh, not really. The astroid defense mini game might be considered a road block for some but apart from that it's a relatively easy game to play if you know what you are doing-especially in New Game+ playthroughs.

Man this game is immersive. I played it earlier this year and I still got hooked despite the dated graphics and gameplay. I could tell that the devs cared for this game and they put a lot of effort in it. The og version is still great to play.
Demon's Souls remake ruined the original's aesthetic and atmosphere. They also replaced the entire soundtrack with a new ill-fitting one for some dumb shit reason. It's more like a PS5 tech demo than a proper remake of Demon's Souls.

Now I understand why this will only be on Next Gen consoles, The Remake has a lot of great details going into it, like the decision to have almost every part of the Necromorph be destructible to the point where you will see the skeleton underneath. Even better is that they will have Isaac Clarke speak in moments where he needs to, and for the more Atmospheric moments he will stay silent.

@@themoshpit8341 yea like anything related to the RIG or a hud NEEDS to be very bright and visible. something the second game did very very well is how bright the hud was in all lighting and/or colors of the armor.
really looking forward to this as dead space has been my favorite game series for a long time. though a minor thing, I noticed in some of the shots, small details like the posters weren't in the new version. I know this sounds stupid but all the safety posters and adverts made it feel a bit like a mining station rather than random sets of corridors.
They said it’s not even close to being done. So I hope they add them too. My big hope is a new game plus. I’m on my 20th replay because of the no+ feature.

Man I love this game, I remember back in days when I have played it on Xbox 360 I was stunned by the graphics and dismemberment feature. Such a great game. Hope the remake will be phenomenal.
Me ha gustado la presentación, personalmente: -Sin micro transacciones, vamos bien. - En vez de volver a usar los saltos en Gravedad Cero como en el primer juego, se usaran las aerobotas de Dead Space 2 y 3, cosa que me parece un acierto. Los saltos en 0G me parecian de lo mas soso, aburrido y tedioso en el primer Dead Space. -Que Isaac hable, me parece una idea interesante. En ver como reacciona e interviene en la historia del juego. Además, ya me acostumbré a eso tras DS2 - Graficamente, el salto es bestial. Y se nota que no van a sacrificar el diseño artístico solo por poner mas Ray Tracing y ya esta. - Lo de los desmembramientos me parece un avance y algo que seguro hara más imponentes a los necromorfos. De lo unico que me quedan dudas, es de su IA. En el 1 (e incluso a veces en el 2) solian bugearse alguna que otra vez y en vez de imponer miedo o angustia, dan risa y nos dan una ventaja ridícula. Ando a la expectativa de como resultara esto, pero tiene buena pinta
lo de la IA si lo van a mejorar van poner todos los puzzles de la 2 y 3 si habra que pagar extra, seran dlc o algo extra que acompañe a lo historia pero que no sea tan necesario de comprarlo
Por el estado del juego, es posible que salga a mitad del 2023, por lo que pude ver en el video. Aunque si tuviera que elegir una fecha, seria ayer mismo para jugarlo ya... Pero que se tomen su tiempo, no queremos otro Cyberpunk

Lo del detalle de los necromorfos me ha dejado así 😱, no recordaba a los del original tan pobres en detalles, supongo que el llevar el culo encogido la mayor parte del tiempo influyó en no fijarme muy de cerca en ellos XD
@Alejandro Marin Monterrubio Es uno de los mejores survival horror de la historia. Y si, el primero da mucho miedo, además de estar todo el rato bajo tensión jugando, ningún otro juego me ha echo estar en tensión de principio a fin, todo gracias a su atmósfera, la cual es única.
Lo mismo pensé, para mi en ese tiempo 2014 cuando me pude comprar mi primer pc, cuando lo jugué no podía aguantarlos y eso que el juego ya llevaba sus buenos años de lanzado, pero como dicen los sonidos, la atmosfera, luces y oscuridad con el gore que tenía, lo hacia demasiado inmersivo, ahora si que no podré dar ni un paso
I’ve been replaying the franchise 1-3 and I almost forgot how beautiful the games were. I almost forget that this isn’t the mid 2000s anymore, games a decade ago are actually really advanced and have been for a while.
Algo que me gustaria que este en el remake, sea que se pueda romper y reparar el traje de Isaac, porque en todos los juegos el traje resive daños absurdos y le vale madres(menos cuando se muere, le pega en el pie a Isaac un trozo de divider y se parte en 2 y pierde los brazos) tengas que reparar el traje para mantener blindaje en alto
También sería genial que añadan el sistema de crafteo del 3. Recoger los esquemas y las piezas de dicha arma para que Isaac la fabrique sería un toque muy bueno.
Dead Space é uma obra de arte e vemos como o título de setma geração envelheceu bem ,claro que o Remake é melhor mas a versão original ainda continua sendo incrível.
There's a moment at beginning of Vanilla Dead Space 1 where you weirdly get told how kill Necromorphs by four different sources in the span of an entire minute(unsubtle blood writing on the wall --> Hammond --> random audio log --> green tooltip tutorial) as if the game itself was too scared to let the player figure it out all by themselves. I really hope that the Remake finds a better way to teach the player about the basic combat mechanics of the game in a more subtle fashion. Being told how to dismember by 4 separate sources in the span of a minute not only makes the player feel like they're having their hands held but it's also just bad game design in general.
I know what exactly what you're talking about that, that always stood out to me. I think they could have JUST done the tooltip tutorial and people would have understood.

Hace cosa de 3-4 semanas me termine el juego 3 veces para conseguir el platino, es de mis sagas favoritas, pero tengo una duda, no cerro visceral games? El juego se quedó con un final abierto, van a hacer el remake de toda la saga para dejarlo abierto también, es arriesgado diria yo aún así, bienvenido sea ests maravilla de saga :)
aunque sea una beta se ve increíble, si hay una diferencia muy grande y creo que ea va por un bue camino, lo mejor es que no habrán micro pagos no como DS3
The original visual wise was always fine for me, problem i did encounter when playing were a clanky menu and overal movement and mouse movement that for some reason got a slight delay while the mouse uses by default which cannot be changed mouse acceleration, so regardless how quick you would make the mouse sensitivity it was slugish and slow.
I was surprised how they decided to change the Cero gravity mechanic I really liked DS2 flying throu space but i liked more how in DS1 you had to run bulky like because of the magnetic boots AND needing to jump in the right place I really felt excitement when i heard that they be putting more things that were eliminated from the original game. I hope we see new types of necromorphs !!! They went full Doom Eternal with the destructive necromorphs This is going to be HELLA VIOLENT LIMPS AND FLESH EVERYWHERE!!! My only feedback is if they already change the cero gravity mechanic CHANGE THE KINESIS. In DS2 even low upgraded Kinesis WAS GOOOOD in DS1 it feels more clumpsy (Thou i don''t which one is more realistic) definitely changing the DS1 kinesis module for a DS2 one would be an upgrade. And it would be AWESOME if they implement weapons from the "Dead Space Extraction" game Like the Rivet gun and the ark welder.

I don't know how I feel about the lights being brighter. To me that added to the horror element of Dead Space. For certain scenes they look brighter while others they look darker which is better.
I thought I used to get hyped for resident evil games but since having played the deadspace series for the 1st time last year I've never been so stoked for a new game in my life
Good vid, one thing you might want to change though: Dead space did not use unreal engine 3, it uses a modified version of the engine from the tiger woods games from 2000-2007
Make dismemberment system more realistic. If you completely clear the bone of the meat, it will be hanged as deadweight, but if you won't disengage the limb, it will restore it's functionality with time.
Underrated gem, like how they kept the screen free of health bar etc as he's spine shows you his health rate instead, very atmospheric too, forget aliens play this

Also, i think the aim looks so static than the original, the aim of the original game was so realistic
With added lighting in the remake it loses some of the eerie drab dark atmosphere the original game had during the long walking sequences.

This game is actually hard as well. Can be frustrating at times, but immersive.
It's really easy once you upgrade your health and stasis module. And the damage of your weapon. Just gotta buy a lot of power nodes

well they definitely need to raise the brightness on the rig system. the rig needs to be fully visible to the player no matter the lighting.

- En vez de volver a usar los saltos en Gravedad Cero como en el primer juego, se usaran las aerobotas de Dead Space 2 y 3, cosa que me parece un acierto. Los saltos en 0G me parecian de lo mas soso, aburrido y tedioso en el primer Dead Space.
-Que Isaac hable, me parece una idea interesante. En ver como reacciona e interviene en la historia del juego. Además, ya me acostumbré a eso tras DS2
- Graficamente, el salto es bestial. Y se nota que no van a sacrificar el diseño artístico solo por poner mas Ray Tracing y ya esta.
- Lo de los desmembramientos me parece un avance y algo que seguro hara más imponentes a los necromorfos. De lo unico que me quedan dudas, es de su IA. En el 1 (e incluso a veces en el 2) solian bugearse alguna que otra vez y en vez de imponer miedo o angustia, dan risa y nos dan una ventaja ridícula.
Ando a la expectativa de como resultara esto, pero tiene buena pinta

Lo del detalle de los necromorfos me ha dejado así 😱, no recordaba a los del original tan pobres en detalles, supongo que el llevar el culo encogido la mayor parte del tiempo influyó en no fijarme muy de cerca en ellos XD
@Alejandro Marin Monterrubio Es uno de los mejores survival horror de la historia. Y si, el primero da mucho miedo, además de estar todo el rato bajo tensión jugando, ningún otro juego me ha echo estar en tensión de principio a fin, todo gracias a su atmósfera, la cual es única.
Lo mismo pensé, para mi en ese tiempo 2014 cuando me pude comprar mi primer pc, cuando lo jugué no podía aguantarlos y eso que el juego ya llevaba sus buenos años de lanzado, pero como dicen los sonidos, la atmosfera, luces y oscuridad con el gore que tenía, lo hacia demasiado inmersivo, ahora si que no podré dar ni un paso
I’ve been replaying the franchise 1-3 and I almost forgot how beautiful the games were. I almost forget that this isn’t the mid 2000s anymore, games a decade ago are actually really advanced and have been for a while.
Algo que me gustaria que este en el remake, sea que se pueda romper y reparar el traje de Isaac, porque en todos los juegos el traje resive daños absurdos y le vale madres(menos cuando se muere, le pega en el pie a Isaac un trozo de divider y se parte en 2 y pierde los brazos) tengas que reparar el traje para mantener blindaje en alto
También sería genial que añadan el sistema de crafteo del 3.
Recoger los esquemas y las piezas de dicha arma para que Isaac la fabrique sería un toque muy bueno.
Dead Space é uma obra de arte e vemos como o título de setma geração envelheceu bem ,claro que o Remake é melhor mas a versão original ainda continua sendo incrível.

even though the suit shown in the pre-production build isn't the final design it still look s awesome
There's a moment at beginning of Vanilla Dead Space 1 where you weirdly get told how kill Necromorphs by four different sources in the span of an entire minute(unsubtle blood writing on the wall --> Hammond --> random audio log --> green tooltip tutorial) as if the game itself was too scared to let the player figure it out all by themselves.
I really hope that the Remake finds a better way to teach the player about the basic combat mechanics of the game in a more subtle fashion. Being told how to dismember by 4 separate sources in the span of a minute not only makes the player feel like they're having their hands held but it's also just bad game design in general.

no soy fan de los remakes aunque debo reconocer que algunos son geniales y lucen muy bien, en este caso el cambio visual ayuda mucho a crear esa atmósfera tétrica que todos amamos
Hace cosa de 3-4 semanas me termine el juego 3 veces para conseguir el platino, es de mis sagas favoritas, pero tengo una duda, no cerro visceral games? El juego se quedó con un final abierto, van a hacer el remake de toda la saga para dejarlo abierto también, es arriesgado diria yo aún así, bienvenido sea ests maravilla de saga :)

God Damn ! this game was so scary when I first played it. Still gives me chills down my spine like Issac's health bar.
The original visual wise was always fine for me, problem i did encounter when playing were a clanky menu and overal movement and mouse movement that for some reason got a slight delay while the mouse uses by default which cannot be changed mouse acceleration, so regardless how quick you would make the mouse sensitivity it was slugish and slow.

I was surprised how they decided to change the Cero gravity mechanic I really liked DS2 flying throu space but i liked more how in DS1 you had to run bulky like because of the magnetic boots AND needing to jump in the right place

My only feedback is if they already change the cero gravity mechanic CHANGE THE KINESIS. In DS2 even low upgraded Kinesis WAS GOOOOD in DS1 it feels more clumpsy (Thou i don''t which one is more realistic) definitely changing the DS1 kinesis module for a DS2 one would be an upgrade.
And it would be AWESOME if they implement weapons from the "Dead Space Extraction" game Like the Rivet gun and the ark welder.
They are doing a nice job, we hope that this project will can be from Ea taken for another type of Dead space like Dead space 4!

Why would they need to change it? I don't see a problem with the old H.U.D.

I don't know how I feel about the lights being brighter. To me that added to the horror element of Dead Space. For certain scenes they look brighter while others they look darker which is better.
I thought I used to get hyped for resident evil games but since having played the deadspace series for the 1st time last year I've never been so stoked for a new game in my life
Good vid, one thing you might want to change though:
Dead space did not use unreal engine 3, it uses a modified version of the engine from the tiger woods games from 2000-2007
Make dismemberment system more realistic. If you completely clear the bone of the meat, it will be hanged as deadweight, but if you won't disengage the limb, it will restore it's functionality with time.

But the standout feature regarding Dead Space, and not mentioned, was the main games pull on ambiance.
The voxel skin looks real cool, they could also add some hanging flesh decals on dismembered areas. that'd really make every shot feel gross.
