O's Schedule - 30 games in 31 days, that was the schedule, not impacted by rain outs or anything. That entire stretch was against division teams and/or playoff contenders (except for Texas). They went 18-12 (.600).
Yup, they had a day off on May 30, then played 17 straight. Including a two city, 8 day road trip. Then had an off day on June 17, played another 13 straight again with a two city road trip in the mix, and like you said, that's just how it was scheduled.
It’s actually a crime how the Os we’re treated in June and their offense struggled for a couple series but still broke the franchise homer record and went 18-12
As an O's fan, June was a slog for the team, but especially the pitching staff. Here's to hoping they can swing a trade for another pitcher before the deadline.
At this point, I don't think there is a question anymore on whether the Brewers are a really good team or not. They are pretty much postseason bound, hopefully they can break the curse and get past the first round this year.
"Vientos" means "winds" in Spanish, as in "the wind." We need to start calling Vientos "Mark Winds" or "Marky Winds" or something like that. Obviously.
From a Mariners fan, yes we're getting really concerned about losing our lead to the Astros. The scary thing is that we're starting to wonder if Julio just isn't gonna go this year. Even if a big bat gets brought in, without Julio being any good offensively it's probably gonna be another 86-90 win season that's fringe playoffs
The other issue with the Cubs is that Jed Hoyer, the President of Baseball Ops, is in the last year of his contract. He is not keen on selling the future to try and save this season. Which I am thankful for, it still limits the options available to revive the offense and fix the bullpen issues. Honestly, its been bad vibes all year, we haven't been healthy since spring training and guys haven't been executing when we need them to. I don't think any trades are going to fix it.
Mariners fan - More nervous about our team than the Astros. If these guys weren’t the worst hitting team in the league we’d be coasting to 95 wins. Julio, JP, Cal, Ty, Mitches, Polanco have all been horrific. Our best players are Raley and Rojas… not ideal!
As a Mariners fan I am petrified! We are bottom 5 in every offensive statistical category and dead last in BA .218 I mean cmon! We have a shot to make a deep run in the playoffs. I’m just tired of all these fineness/savant moves on offense. Let’s get management to spend some money and get a bona fide star in the order. At least getting cano back in the day showed me they were at least trying.
This was the season we all had a chance, I still think you can win the West. the Halos are playing well now but are now playing the biggest game of catch up ever.
every episode i tune in just to see some cardinals content. every episode i scroll through the chapters to see if yall talk about them. it doesn't have to always be about the cardinals but shit we had the best record since may something and ryan helsley is the best reliever in the NL. PLEASE
As a cubs fan this team has been so frustrating to watch and to be honest I think they’re gonna sell this year if they don’t get hot but they need to also stop experimenting with Morel at third because it’s just not working and I can also see them sending some prospects for bullpen pieces or a star player that can bolster the offense
@@dnavarro972 It's just ugly. Every single one of their hitters is underperforming. Heim just looks lost at the plate. Adolis, Semien and Lowe are shells of their former selves and Langford and Carter are taking painfully long to figure things out. Their pitching is bad, but the offense is worse.
@@brandondillman5841 we had the #1 offense to begin the year this year, we can be a top 10 offense again. Mariners and Astros have also underperformed so that’s helps out the Rangers

Cubs are COOKED… almost regretting seeing my cubbies on the 4th. TWO PLUS MONTHS of awful offense (both overall and timeliness), and a whole season of literally the worst bullpen
I think LMC JR is a mythical creature like big foot. I’ve heard a lot about. I know people who have claimed to see him pitch but I’m not quite sure he is real.
I know you can’t walk back every take - but Jake you need to eat crow on the Astros. You are acting like you believed in them all year. A month ago you said it was now or never and they should trade Bregman and Tucker. I’m not even an Astros fan, but that was insane lmao
Lol "texas fans tell us about Derick Hill I'm not familiar with his game" Well fuck neither are we lol. Dude was a random pick up, was raking im AAA and hes just doing it for us now lol
Oh look it’s time to heat up, and there’s that one team that always fucking heats up. Houston, the rest of MLB has a problem. Anyone who counted the Astros out for a poor start is a confirmed clown, how have you not realised by now?
I’m not an Astros fan, but _of course_ they were always going to heat up. They have too much talent and experience on that team, plus they’ve had big-time injury issues. They’ve also had some bad luck, as evidenced by their BaseRuns/adjusted Pythag records (strips out sequencing effects and adjusts for strength of schedule), which have been much better than their actual record all along, suggesting better days ahead. (BaseRuns/adjusted Pythag aren’t quite predictive, but they’re not _not_ predictive, either. They tell you something about the underlying quality of a team.) And believe it or not, the same is true of the -Grimaces- -OMGs- Mets. In fact, the Mets have the 8th-best BaseRuns/adjusted Pythag in baseball, ahead of-in order-the Twins, Mariners, Astros (for now), Royals, Guardians (!), and Padres. To be clear, both the Astros and Mets were underperforming their expected records _before_ they got hot, indicating that they might get hot (i.e. enjoy some positive regression). On the opposite end, the Guardians are overperforming their BaseRuns/adj Pythag more than anyone else, thanks to some truly insane sequencing (RISP! Clutch gene! Grission!), and a favorable schedule. They’ve banked enough wins that they’ll probably still make the postseason, but if I had to bet on a team to have a significant cold spell at some point this year, it would be Cleveland, as theirs just may be a bit of a sand castle. But who knows? That’s why they play the games. 🤷🏽♂️
To threaten the 4th WC slot!! (I'm a Giants fan, so I know where our ceiling is, and without some of that classic devil majik.... it ain't high this year)
Whatever happend to enunciating the letter "t"... it's not "haa in the streets".... it's "hoT". Jack does this too, and many others. Happens every time they talk about Dal-un Feeley too... Weird generational thing I guess.
