Is it okay to just grind the spring steel and then heat treat it? I mean the process you begun with hammering it and shaping it, making the edge slim. Can we skip that process and sharpen the blade with grinding machine and then heat treat it?
I'll never understand why all of you people keep making videos like this. Instead of pounding an edge onto the blade, you waste material by grinding away perfectly good metal. You risk loosing your eyes by not wearing safety glasses, you risk injury to your feet by not wearing steel-toed boots, and nobody seems to know that a file only cuts on the forward stroke. You don't go back and forth, back and forth. Forward strokes only. Even if your blade turns out looking nice, I'm not impressed at all.😶
從選取鋼材到切割、鍛打、淬火、打磨、手柄加工,都能看出師傅高水準的精湛工藝。
