Tasting Ethiopian Coffee

In this video we are tasting the 2 most commonly found Ethiopian coffees Yirgacheffe & Sidamo. We are using the international standard of coffee CUPPING to expose the characteristics of each bean. We talk about a bit of history and the flavor notes of the 2 beans.

Apart from the four major coffee varieties represented by Harrar, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe and Limu, there are several other pins on the map in the video that are worthy of note:
Lekempti, Tepi, Kaffa, Djimma, Bebeka, Illubabor, Wellega and Gimbi.
Each region possesses its own distinct characteristics and flavor profile, but maintains the smooth, rich acidity and slightly citrusy taste for which Ethiopian Arabica coffee beans are best known.
