I passed out in my chair after a nice salmon dinner on a river near Squamish once, woke up to a big black bear wandering into camp. We made eye contact and I swear we both thought the same thing: "wow, you're right there?!" I didn't move or say anything, and he just wandered off looking scared. I guess he didn't smell me and he probably didn't mean to get so close so it's a good thing I didn't startle him too much.
My first hot tent is supposed to be arriving Thursday, and I'm planning on doing a test overnighter this weekend. Just wanted to say thanks for the advice from your channel. Looking forward to being able to extend my camping season where previously winter wasn't possible.
Beautiful, snowy woods. The quiet was stunning, and your typically artistic camera placement, with well thought out depth and framing made it another special virtual trip. Who else mixes Mexican, Thai, Indian, Japanese and Italian - outdoors in the winter woods!! Wow!! Thanks, brother! 👍
I know it’s ( now ) an hot tent but winter camping it’s very recommended to not blow with your mouth in your mattress for the condensation! But nice video ! Always nice to watch the quality of the photography or videography!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. Also I agree with you %100, these klymit pads don't come with a pump sack. So I purchased a thermarest neoair xtherm , no more klymit 😃🔥
Thank you for watching a very beautiful and wonderful video. What are the cameras and lenses used for video recording? I am going to use it as an example.
Another great video brother, the only problem is that when you do your cook up it looks so good i have to go and eat something, I can nearly smell it through the screen 🤣
Hahaha I was wondering if we might see the squirrel friend coming from out of the pane to get the naan bag. But he probably didn't want to be out in the snow.
Jeremy I never get tired of watching your videos. The quality of the video is top notch, you make it look easy. I love hearing the sound of the wind as it blows through the trees.
Random video idea: an episode/video just on different cooking options. Not only stove vs open fire options, but different meals on each. Breakfast, dinner, etc. I suggest it because I'm debating on what I want to cook this weekend. I know I can go easy and do oatmeal, but maybe I want to do french toast. I know you cook a lot on your videos, but I don't think I've seen a single video showing all different options for different scenarios. Anyway, keep up with the great content.
Love the cinematography. One recommendation...plz talk during cooking. Describe ingredients used, why you are using them and such to fill in dead time and to help others who are not familiar with cooking. It adds a feeling of closeness.
Told my dad once, I could live anywhere in winter if A) I had nice warm fire 24/7; and someone to keep fire going and keep wood ahead inside and out B) enough yarn for me to crochet whatever blankets, sweaters, ponchos, gifts for family C)had enough food to last all winter and could see outside and watch birds and animals
Have you ever thought of using an ikea bag to carry the cut up wood in. I bought it on Amazon 2 for $8, it would also keep the wood dry in the hot tent.
Hi Jeremy, what an awesome landscape you have to camp in. Did you pay any attention to the pole sleeves up by the stove jack. They seem pretty near the flue and I would think they would get quite hot. If they, are some silicon tubing slit length ways might help protect them. Other than that a really good set up for surface dwelling. Really digging the vibe you have going on, laid back and seemingly unhurried.
Awesome hot tent video as always. In my part of central Texas we received a light 1” to 2” coating of snow on Sunday. Wished I had my hot tent just to have tried tried it. Thanks

Awesome diy tent..easy to set up.not to heavy..like it..beautiful deep wood forest with blanket snow..u have great places to bush camp..quit serene.great weather!
Hello. That looks like a suspended interior double wall tent? Like an expedition style shelter? What is it exactly? I modified a Alps Mountaineering Taurus 4 person 3 season double wall free standing tent. The size and configuration are fantastic. No problem heating up. I love it. I’m interested in what you have. I think you made a great decision with that. Thank you
Wow fantastic spot to set up camp; hot tent looks great, you could buy, modify and sell them I don't think too many people trust themselves to cut a brand new tent to modify it, I sure wouldn't want to cut a brand new tent LOL we had snow a couple of days but it melted away until next time, I like seeing it when I don't have to go anywhere and I'm nice and warm or if it's not on the roadways
another cool video. Got my Mardingtop 50L pack and hike 3 miles with it today. Great pack. Thanks. Keep the cool videos coming. BTW, my son and I are getting hungry watching you cook on that fire! Cheers.
Nice diy conversion and great idea! What do you think about safety distances between the stove and tent walls, are they are sufficient? Love you channel. Greetings from 🇫🇮!
That's why I love to take a trailcam out with me,its a better feeling than you would think knowing the animals come that close to something foreign to them whilst you sleep.I always expect to have some footage of some weirdo creeping round my camp!
I am really impressed with that setup! I believe I will be looking into making one for myself. The vestibule for the stove with a separate meshed sleeping area is ideal! Another great experience shared! Keep em coming bro! Much love!,🤘👍
