Reminds me of Frances, really cool. Working my way through this playlist and they've all been baseline interesting, but this track in particular is incredible!
This is the fucking version I took with me to hawaii when I was 16 years old and it rained every day of my cousins family vacation hahahaha this version is 100x better than the record version. It’s beyond my soul. More this. Even if I have to do it myself: more this. ❤️🖤❤️
There's some parts of the demos that are better, but God damn the wall of sound in the record version is soo much better. The ambient sections on all of the songs early versions are better tho
this is my last incision stitches have broken off bring me the head of the requiem to fit on a story card (?) what's with the plot of our captors you know that I'm drifting off do you remember ive drifted off
Matt King impossible man. Literally has the exact same licks, accents and ghost notes as the latter track which could not be replicated even by the great John Theodore. The guitar too. Sounds like the last mix just got the shit compressed out of it, added a reverb and more boom from the toms and added an new guitar layer.
Nope Matt, you are wrong. The Summer Demos were the four tracks that were recorded with a different lineup (Ralph Jasso, Linda Good), before the DITC sessions took place. They can be found on my channel. This one is an unfinished mix from the actual album sessions with additional vocal parts that were later removed. The instrument performances are the same ones you hear on the album. It's possible to re-record stuff, but you can't duplicate the sound to such a degree. The only reason why people believe these are "Summer Demos" is because somebody placed the tracks in the same download folder on the comatorium message board.
Some parts sound like rough tracking/demo tracks. Some parts are definitely the very same tracks on the record. I mean, they recorded ftm across different countries/continents so it's not surprising if they'd recorded this previously and kept working on it.
@@kbkman7742 different recording process. Each time they recorded in a different place it was a continuous track as each musician played their part to a metronome and did not hear the final project til it was all done. They essentially recorded in the dark. That’s why you did drums in LA and bass and percussion elsewhere
when i heard cedric whispering after the second chorus i got chills i teared up, never heard that in this song before and didnt expect it

Like listening to it for the first time. I love for this shit. Thanks!
I like this mix a lot more
Exactly
The drums are way too quiet in certain parts here. In the official version they come in a lot more clearly and utilize the stereo space better
this is probably the best of the unmastered
Nice

i wish someone made an edit that had the best parts of both edited together

A 320kbps CD rip is all I‘ve got.

Does anyone know if John Frusciante is on this version?
Yes, the dueling guitar solo begins at 03:24, he‘s the softer guitar on the right channel.
Doesn't matter
Interesting. Wonder if Rubin mixed it after

Matt King I’m not saying you can’t replicate the patterns and beats but this is the same recording as the uploader confirmed.

Rick Rubin take all the dub escence, amazing rexordings, Goliath rarities existe?
There are two rarities from TBIG: "GetMadRef" (Agadez Demo) and "Ratiplet For Label" (Soothsayer Demo). Look for "Bedlam B-Sides" on UA-cam.
Hola, amigo ricotero
Same vocals as album. Now will you shut up?
what do you mean?
