- The governor of Michigan signed legislation on Thursday that reaffirms legal protections for the LGBTQ+ community. Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation expanding the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act to include legal protections for sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.

I'm not from Michigan, so I'm curious. All I know about gun laws in Michigan is that it's illegal to carry a concealed gun without obtaining a gun permit. Is that really that bad to need to get a conceal permit? What else about gun laws in MI are a problem for you?

If an adult feels they are trans, they have the free will to choose it for themselves. My main and really only point of contention is transitioning children before they are fully aware of what that will mean for them in the long term.

I think a full surgical procedure should be 18+, but puberty blockers (which are reversible) are fine. Do note however that there have been studies showing that gender identity and sexual orientation are not a choice. I never made the choice to be gay, I've only ever experienced attraction to men.

The same sex marriage thing cracks me up. Divorce is a 50/50 chance just in America as a whole, but lesbian divorces are 14% and they are a very small percentage of people. Gay men are only 7%, but fewer gay men get married in the first place. Over the last 5 years I have been to 6 lesbian marriages, two family and the rest friend's. All of them are split up. This tells me something, but they don't want to hear it....
My daughter lived next to a lesbian couple. One night there was a knock on my daughter's door. There stood one of the lesbian women. She had been so badly beaten up by her partner that my daughter had to take her to the ER. Please someone, tell me more about the Love Wins shtick. They're starting to sound damned silly.

She was not blessed with extremely good looks, men used her then threw her to the side, so she started dating women, then married one. The girl she married was beautiful, but the whole marriage happened quick. It never lasted a year, the girl wiped out all the bank account, and sold several things that the cousin had that were family heirlooms. She even tried to make her pay alimony, but lost that one. Lesbians are not always thieves, that runs in people in general. But I used to council many people for addictions, and addiction runs very high in the whole LGBT community. Almost every couple were dysfunctional, and only every third would stick any time at all. But when you see a woman with a man`s haircut, beware. They were called a Butch back in the day, and these women are very delusional and mentally unstable.....

Did you ever hear the term "alpha male". It is clear that there is a need to divide up people more finely than you implied otherwise nobody would have invented that term. Being a male is not just a matter of which set of reproductive hardware someone has. When all follows the normal path, the differences in the brain happen too. In a small minority of cases, there is effectively a birth defect where a female brain develops in a male body. It is one of those things that happens. How well or poorly we treat a person that has such a state visited on them is a test of our Christianity. You can't deal with this multicolor world with black and white thinking.

And, why is that a problem for you? Giving civil rights protections to a marginalized group that hasn't had civil rights protections does not infringe on your rights no matter how much you and others may oppose basic civil rights for LGBTQ. Separation of church and state is clearly defined in the constitution, and it's religious fanatics that seem to want to oppress the rights of marginalized groups like the LGBTQ.
