It’s not really your fault when he himself is the culprit. Who cares if Joseph was right, his methods are unjust. Resist is the heroic thing to do, fight against atrocity.
Nick Rye was like the only guy who had some involvement to the main story. Edit: I mean like in terms of guns for hire. Characters like Jess or Grace don't have a damn thing for significance. I should probably go to sleep now.
The Walk Away ending only makes it more obvious that Eden's Gate set off the nuke in the Resist ending. Why would whatever hostile nation waste a nuke on a place like Hope County? That we can know not arresting Joseph would result in no nuke makes the plot rather obvious.
The_ brokenbat27 but in the news they said there is like a war going on the outside. If its russia they could drop nukes on every state so its not krazy

I picked the Resist ending, it’s technically the true ending because it sets you up for Far Cry 6 while the walk away ending doesn’t set you up for anything.
After playing New Dawn, i think I'd rather have the walk away ending as the true ending. Besides, the Walk Away ending has a lot of potential story lines to be built. I don't want Far Cry to be the new Fallout.

Im sorry for any spoilers about jacob!
One of the most beautiful endings in video games. We realise that all the things we’ve been doing throughout the game, were all mistakes and sins, and the villain of the story is actually us.
not really? Like, we didn't burn randonm civlians to death for not joining our cult, nor did we hang bodies on the side of the roads? This game isn't deep.
@@mauzki-Well burning random civilains or random "peggies" alive or killing them in other brutal ways is really no different to each other... They are also just people and civilains, also actual good people just manipulated into serving extreme ideologies to be saved from the collapse. Im not really in for "the cult are good guys" but the player and a lot of players arent good neither and it is funny how a lot of violent fps players thinks they are the moral and good one in a game where you kill a lot of people and in various gruesome ways...
I don't know if this can be considered spoilers anymore, but here we go, well, is interesting how the story changes, with the endings, in the "good end" Joshep was "right" to be prepared for the future apocalypse, with his army, and knowing how things turned out in New Dawn... in the other side, in the BAD end, because no "Nuke" happened while they were leaving... it means, the nuclear war never happened, and Joseph ended as an evil man, using his religion and stuffs to make an army and dominate the region...as usual... I liked that.
This is the ending I chose because I thought that resist would immediately result in The Sheriff, Hudson, & Pratt all getting executed gangland style. My logic being that 8-9 people with guns pointed at 3 kneeling people would be a pretty quick massacre... guess I should have known better than to use logic.
i did the resist ending and i dont have regrets. In the dlc or an update they could make it if you chose resist there will be a mission where you break out of the cuffs by dutch because he is not really dead then you kill the father. For the walk away ending they should make it so you serve for the father then you arrest him. This is just a theory.
Even after all Rook had done to his family and his flock. Joseph stared straight into him and found it in himself to forgive Rook despite how hateful he was and let him and his friends leave. That's why Joseph is still and likely always will be my favourite Farcry 'villain'. To show such mercy to such a dark and hate-filled person.
That's why I always choose this ending. It's more of a "neutral" ending I think. Nobody wins and it makes the player think about what happened going forward. Joseph lost his family and a big chunk of his army, but he has all of your friends under his control. Did the Sheriff and his deputies return there and defeat Joseph and saved their friends? Did they never return there and Joseph still has control over their friends? Makes you think.
Great game , took me some time to beat it cause I took the time to explore the map and I like all the guns for hire ..........I just feel there's something missing in the game , this is just an idea like if you clear a outpost from the cult I wish what ever areas you didn't clear the cult would send some of there followers to try to take back a outpost that you took from them and you can somehow upgrade the militia weapons that guards the outpost you took and if you want to go there as backup you can choose to do that if you want too and if you take over 1 whole side of the region or area your your militia will come over to help out a outpost that's being attacked while your doing a diff mission
I love this game and as much as I enjoyed every minute, the best ending is probably the "not play the game in the first place" ...like most Far Cry games, which I love, and Spec Ops, which I hated with a burning passion.
The horror with only you is that it's the same song Jacob uses on the Deputy to mind control him into killing the WhiteTail militia. So when you belive you walk away with the three others the song plays again blurring the Deputy's vision. This could be interpreted again as you kill the 3 people you tried to save leaving you alone in the game ending.
According to the wikipedia, if you choose the 'Walk Away' ending, when Whitehorse turns on the radio, it brainwashes the player, hence why he asks the player 'What's wrong?'. It's not seen or confirmed, but it's very possible and implied that the brainwashed player kills Whitehorse, Hudson, and Pratt off-screen once it cuts to black. If this is true, then Whitehorse, Hudson, and Pratt will die, regardless of the player's decision.
Same here. When I hit continue it takes me back to the place where I have to met Joseph again. And this happens to me on new game +. I completed the game with the good ending. I played new game+ and when I complete the final mission and skip the credits and I press continue it takes me back to the final mission.
Question: why do I get to play the final story mission again after getting this ending if I press continue meanwhile if I get the good ending it just let’s you continue doing side missions with the Father being defeated?
I know, I like how it went. Right as he played the music I knew they were dead the other ending you drive from the bomb which is cool but then your trapped with Joseph. With the other ending, rook isn’t trapped and prob goes to kill Joseph

Randy60pro Gaming pretty small for a Far Cry.. Completed everything within 48 hours.
The endings are bad
yea me and my friend finished in in 3 days it’s too short .. and too easy to complete
Just...
Do not say any of Ubisoft's latest games are good. These and many other people might unlighten your day
turtleplayze you're supposed to do every side mission and take your time exploring. I just finished it tonight. Started release night.
Both endings all seem like a canon ending that starts towards far cry new dawn, I like that and it makes you not regret your decision
"Your friends have been taken & tortured, and it's your fault...
Countless lives have been killed, and it's YOUR FAULT...
THE WORLD IS ON FIRE, AND IT'S. YOUR. FAULT...
Was it worth it?... Was it?"
I never felt the weight of my choices... The weight of my actions... Until he said that to me.
My heart sank, and my throat tightened, and I knew that I had to just walk away this time... I finally realized that not every problem had to be solved with a bullet...
It’s not really your fault when he himself is the culprit. Who cares if Joseph was right, his methods are unjust. Resist is the heroic thing to do, fight against atrocity.
@@Fanchen Remember. Sometimes it's best to just leave well enough alone...

The graphics, the story, the Joseph Seed, THE MUSIC THIS GAME IS THE GAME OF DECADE.
love the game, love the plot. love the endings.... only problem? not much screen time for a lot of the characters. Rick Nye's was cool though.
Dog God *nick rye

Nick Rye
Nick Rye was like the only guy who had some involvement to the main story.
Edit: I mean like in terms of guns for hire. Characters like Jess or Grace don't have a damn thing for significance. I should probably go to sleep now.
@@MisterJohnDoe grace you have that quest and thats it, over
The Walk Away ending only makes it more obvious that Eden's Gate set off the nuke in the Resist ending. Why would whatever hostile nation waste a nuke on a place like Hope County? That we can know not arresting Joseph would result in no nuke makes the plot rather obvious.
Sad that Joseph killed innocents, AND his own people to prove you "wrong".
He also had access to multiple missile silos. For all we know he could have had more.
The_ brokenbat27 but in the news they said there is like a war going on the outside. If its russia they could drop nukes on every state so its not krazy
bigBallaNO But why drop one in Hope County? There’s nothing but farmland and wilderness...
What about the "Only you" sing playing, there's a few options there
A: kills whole group
B:gets self killed
C: eventually settles down after struggling
So rook was brainwashed, jacob played us like a damn fiddle 🤣
No we were
wasn't really expecting it to affect an ending though ngl
Who tf is us stop saying us
The rook conditioned to only you
Joseph’s voice actor was the best part of the game
So its sheriff's
Joseph actor, since its motion capture and its a real actor, dude nailed the whole game
DaMn the song gave me PTSD, Legit when I heard it at the end my heart stopped for a second
i just went oh shit no no no no.....
I can't stand that song any ore bc this game
*PTSD looks at me*
Me: What's wrong
*Ik PTSD doesn't work like that but that's how I feel when it's triggered*
I picked the Resist ending, it’s technically the true ending because it sets you up for Far Cry 6 while the walk away ending doesn’t set you up for anything.
After playing New Dawn, i think I'd rather have the walk away ending as the true ending. Besides, the Walk Away ending has a lot of potential story lines to be built. I don't want Far Cry to be the new Fallout.
@@JeyVGaming Yeah true
@@JeyVGaming Well Farcry 6 is coming, unless it is set before 5 then it means walk away is canon.
Farcry 6 has nothing to do with 5
@@christianalexander579 yes it does lmao it’s literally the aftermath of 5 wtf?
Kinda ballsy for a big studio like Ubisoft to make the villain win, no matter what you choose.
Obviously resist? What kind of ending is "walk away"?
It's the one I chose lol
penpenbrady I chose it because I ended up getting to the end at about 2:30 AM and i was tired as f*ck so I chose the shorter ending
@@RosaRodriguez-gp3gn Dude, I recently finished it and this is the reason why i chose to walk away just to end it already because the sun was already on my windows.
Resist leads to the world getting nuked
I chose it because he forgave us. After killing his family, he chose to set us free. I didn't want to ruin that opportunity
I’m terrified from getting finished with the resist part
That means he killed everyone in the car

If any of you were wondering why rooks face turns red its because only you was from that littile box wind up from jacob and so thats why rooks face went red and rook is not dead he just gonna pass out for a week unless he is actually dead so jacob was all behind this. Im sorry for any spoilers about jacob!
These Ubisoft people took a page out of dying light book😂
Ha ha. I see what you did there.
I know, and it took me a while to realize that
Ministry sucks
Actually the ending that GRE weaponized the virus and ministry uses it to both destroy and infect the town damn dying light 2 is comin
did you even play the following?
5 years later and… DAMN this ost is powerful
Every accusation from Joseph = pot and kettle, hypocritical.
@@mauzki- Correct, both sides were cruel but the cult’s vision was right and a little cruelty is needed to guide everyone to the right path 😉
@@Shadow-Heaart that's a great attitude to have
@@Shadow-Heaartwas a lot more than a little
@@mauzki-Well burning random civilains or random "peggies" alive or killing them in other brutal ways is really no different to each other...
You leave me my swamp
The only good thing is that they say there gonna go do a Davidian compound style raid, it’s only a shame we might not ever get more of this
I wouldn't really like to see Ruby Ridge 2
When I played this I had a connection with the characters
Sad,that copy righted ending😂😂
I crapped myself when I realised what was playing on the radio
I JUST PLAYED THE WHOLE GAME FOR THIS ENDING AFTER GETTING THE BAD ENDING...
do you get an achievement if you pick this ending???
@@ThousandairesClub no
i still can’t get over the amazing graphics
I don't know if this can be considered spoilers anymore, but here we go, well, is interesting how the story changes, with the endings, in the "good end" Joshep was "right" to be prepared for the future apocalypse, with his army, and knowing how things turned out in New Dawn... in the other side, in the BAD end, because no "Nuke" happened while they were leaving... it means, the nuclear war never happened, and Joseph ended as an evil man, using his religion and stuffs to make an army and dominate the region...as usual... I liked that.
walk away ending has a better soundtrack, plus you get a ticket to heaven
Sometimes it's just best to leave or left alone.
Darth Maul Leave well enough alone.*
Was pissed to not be able to explore the nuked county for a bit.
You would want to serve him as your own wish but he’s not that stupid you’ll drink that holy water (with cocain in it)
Even after all Rook had done to his family and his flock. Joseph stared straight into him and found it in himself to forgive Rook despite how hateful he was and let him and his friends leave.
That's why Joseph is still and likely always will be my favourite Farcry 'villain'. To show such mercy to such a dark and hate-filled person.
I mean that's the Christian way
I aspire to one day be able to forgive as Joseph did.
The lieutenant fights in this game were really cool and unique. Good game, not perfect. A lot of fun, despite some bugs
So deputy gone brainwashed because of that radio even Jacob is dead

Thanks for muting the best part
I definitely didn't want to hear it
After playing this ending i would love to hear the rook saying "i'm sorry father" before he goes to show that he was already gone
Agreed it would pro long the game and give more of a chance to use all the weapons I. Story scenarios, also make you be more strategic
Also he was right, about the end of the world, he saved probably many people
Farcry 5 is like Mass Effect 3's ending.
Yes but...no
Wow Joseph’s actor really did awesome at the acting
Am I the only freak that loves the other ending?? Just me? Okay XD
The other ending is GREAT, my only regret was having to kill the other two Seed brothers.
I love this game and as much as I enjoyed every minute, the best ending is probably the "not play the game in the first place"
...like most Far Cry games, which I love, and Spec Ops, which I hated with a burning passion.
Well that’s the ending I wish I picked.
Go play the game again
" take your friends my child ...and go*
The horror with only you is that it's the same song Jacob uses on the Deputy to mind control him into killing the WhiteTail militia. So when you belive you walk away with the three others the song plays again blurring the Deputy's vision. This could be interpreted again as you kill the 3 people you tried to save leaving you alone in the game ending.
I don’t care what anyone else says. This ending is beautiful. Praise be to the father
If this is true, then Whitehorse, Hudson, and Pratt will die, regardless of the player's decision.
the nukes wouldve dropped either way or there wouldnt have been a farcry new dawn
no its just that resist is canon
Even though they still die in the end, I think the other ending is better because at least you free your friends and they become themselves again.
I know he was a murderer but being that he was right all along makes me want to stay with him
Ok seems like I chose the wrong ending
1/03/2022 Same.
I picked the Walk Away option but when I re-enter the game, it says I haven’t completed it. I’ve already done the ending twice.
Same here. When I hit continue it takes me back to the place where I have to met Joseph again. And this happens to me on new game +. I completed the game with the good ending. I played new game+ and when I complete the final mission and skip the credits and I press continue it takes me back to the final mission.
Choose resist should let you continue
I like to believe it wasn't joseph who had this play, it just played. The song played of pure coincidence
Question: why do I get to play the final story mission again after getting this ending if I press continue meanwhile if I get the good ending it just let’s you continue doing side missions with the Father being defeated?
In my opinion this is the canon ending as the nuke did not go off in Far Cry 6.
Walking away is a good ending
Logan Thomassen No, because you kill all of your friends
I know, I like how it went. Right as he played the music I knew they were dead the other ending you drive from the bomb which is cool but then your trapped with Joseph. With the other ending, rook isn’t trapped and prob goes to kill Joseph
Logan Thomassen I guess, but there is no good ending. Just endings that aren't as bad
Rigby yup it’s all bad 😂😂 except the first ending. Where you don’t cuff him. You just leave
Logan Thomassen Pfftt... fuck those people in the car. They just get in the way (wouldn't have needed saving if they were half competent in the first place lul) - good ending in my book.
