She did a lot of Beyoncé’s choreography, can’t take that away from her. She’s a great dancer!
Who?

Right
@@courtneylovesyou4564 she's talking about Danielle
I had the pleasure of taking a few classes with Danielle Polanco. She is undeniably talented and a true lover of dance. Her success is the result of soaking up, mastering, and incorporating EVERYTHING: ballet, jazz, tap, vogue (old and new way), hip hop, crunk, zouk, salsa, bachata, etc. She has a rare range and versatility that you don't get in many teachers.
And yes, she's born and bred from the Bronx so she is blunt and honest with her critiques. It's nothing to take personal. It's funny seeing the Azealia Banks clip, because to me they are cut from the same cloth.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
💯 agreed I Follow her on IG and you can tell she’s super passionate about dance and being versatile
Exactly n speaking of Azealia she's a clown 🤡 she goes around talking about ppl including a child just petty n miserable Danielle is still making a name for herself doin better than her
Right... I was shocked because an unvarnished critique of an artistic offering with the acerbic New York snappiness, seems like something Azaelia would have said herself.
Wow I didnt know she was rocking with zouk also. Thats my favorite genre. Because Im haitian 🇭🇹. Nice to know 😏
It’s nice to be living in a generation where we are making more of an effort to give people their flowers. I love dance so it’s nice to see you highlighting their careers. Your content is always great. Blessings!
Truth Indeed
I'm not giving her anything. Let these Black American males, Italians, Anglos, Jews, Black Caribbean males like those Jamaican males and other obsessive perverts give her those flowers. I owe Hispanics nothing.

I would like to see Fatima Robinson next if you do another female choreography video. She was that GWORL in the late 90s and 2000s
Yesss 🙌🏾
I second this!
Oh yes. She choreographed Aaliyah’s videos. Definitely a rare gem
I love Fatima ❤️
Yes! 😉
Her saying “it’s nice to not have to hold back for an artist” when talking about the intensity of the dancing. Veryyyy interesting. I imagine now backup dancers are instructed not to dancer better or harder than the artist, so as not to make them look bad. She has a very long career and immense talent, wow!
This has always been the case. I think Janet Jackson is the only one who doesn't do this.
Wow, I think you're right!
@@DancingDeity well Janet, like her brother, the king, are real dancers.
You aren't a dancer and that doesn't happen at all... My god you guys have opinions on things that you have no clue about.
I thought she means shes happy she can dance with her full potential since it match Omarions. Not that she was told to not outshine the star before but that the choreography were simplified for non dancers or not as skilled as she is

Keep it a bean, that Lemonade critique wouldn’t even have happened if the 1hr presentation wasn’t centered around black women… that criticism came from a place. There’s a reason Azealia said what she said, as cooky as she is.
Never knew she choreographed 'so excited' by Janet Jackson! I was so in awe of that music video and choreography (still am!) that I repeatedly watched that video right after its release to learn the choreography. She's freaking talented, I initially recognised her from the Step Up 2 movie, but my god this woman has a phenomenal RESUME.
Yes I love her really like her in step up
You can tell she was being cocky in the step up interview. Also, it speaks on her character the way she acted when Beyonce didn't use her for lemonade. She's amazing but she needs media training.
I agree 100%
The step up interview made my smile disappear frfr…in my mind I was like “🥴.. please stop talking and dance” lol… I can only imagine her attitude with Bey if she ever felt slighted 😬

So is that why she was mad? Bc Bey didn't use her?

Lmao I seen this comment right when azealia's part came on 😂😂😂

Yes but did you see her on the episode of WNO. She could not take the jokes being laid and made the entire show uncomfortable because some of the jokes were burns on her and she couldn’t take. It was one of the worst episodes out the almost 17 seasons.
She was literally in every iconic music video! She's incredible. 🙌🏻

Right! We always let these latinas in then they just slap you in the face once they get up. Jlo started a fly girl and on Janet's video and she racist too. Never talks about it neither. Would've been no jlo for Selina if not for blk culture puttin her on.

Thank you. They would have let any other black woman have it worse.
I've been following Danielle since "Touch" video and it's been fun spotting her on different projects. Her decision to post criticism about Beyonce's "Lemonade" project was so odd. I wonder where that energy was coming from. She seemed to want to make it clear that the project wasn't worth her time. For such a prolific working professional (and past collaborator), it's such an odd decision, I think.
Did something happen between her and Beyoncé?
Beyoncé is cheap, apparently. She underpays all her staff. Maybe that was the issue.
Must be deeper then..
I loved seeing her dance in the Omarion, Touch video. Also, Bruno’s video for Finesse.
This chick is DOPE. Her vision, her drive, her longevity in this industry is Outstanding. Great job on this review. I love how she keeps elevating and wish her more and more success.
I really like her on step up would love to work with her
The good ol' days when women actually danced in music videos and not just twerk everywhere.

It's always hilarious when the girls get into one-sided beefs with Beyoncé. They get to sniping and backbiting meanwhile she never responds to the foolishness. Danielle is extremely talented and should definitely be celebrated for her work, but she should've just admitted she felt away about not being included in Lemonade instead of being unprofessional.
I doubt everyone is lying on Beyonce. It's obvious that woman is into some wicked things but some people just refuse to see it.
@@meandepiphany What are you talking about?? Beyoncé has one of the best reputations in the business. Danielle being pissy about Beyoncé going in a different direction is Danielle's problem.

That album heavily featured Black women. I don't know why she was so upset about that. The one time she's not in a Black person's space she spazzes?? Yeah, she's feeling very entitled.
She was also in Chris Brown's Wall to Wall video as well as a vampire Queen.
The problem wasn’t that she had an opinion. It was that she choose to voice it publicly, instead of keeping it to herself. Not everyone needs to hear how you feel.
Yes, but if you express that opinion, then you can't cry about the consequences of it. Consequence is no coincidence. People really want to say anything without considering how it'll affect them and those around them. I'm all for free speech, but accountability is another side of that coin. If you're edgy and saying things out there, then you have to understand that there may be backlash, and you have to be prepared to deal with it.
@@marilyn1984 We’re supposed to listen to the opinion on a complex piece of art like Lemonade from someone who says “more good” that’s probably why you didn’t like it lmaooo

She didn't get it (Beyonce's Lemonade album), because it wasn't for her. It was for us (Black women). She really should've just kept her comments to herself smh. Everything isn't made for everyone, and it's just like they say, "if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all." Still, I'm glad she was able to continue working elsewhere, she is a very talented dancer and that dance from Omarion's video was my favorite and definitely inspired me.
Can it be for women of mixed raced with black, or do you have to be fully black? 🤔 just a question
Why are ya'll acting like the person she was criticizing didn't work with her professionally for years? It's not about protecting Beyonce, it's about considering your rapport before you post.
Can you do a black choreographer for Black Femininity TV? Like Jamaica? Fatima? Ashley? Black worn always giving Hispanic women their props but if you think on their platforms the do the same. Not never!

@MelaninChocolate - Then we complain why we can't get our own "black" opportunities, spaces, men, and roles. They are representing what a black woman is. We are NOT even accepted in their communities due to our skin color, hair and the reminder of little to no privileges, benefits and access in the white society).
I would guarantee if this channel was called Feminidad de la Latina
Americana or Latina Femininity, you would NEVER a a fully Black American woman or African woman on it. No one wants to claim blackness unless it benefits them.
But, this issue is our fault, not theirs. We allowed this.

To be honest, I am not familiar with the person she became as an adult...heartbreaking because its not what I imagined she would be like. Still so proud of her success - representing the BX. I hope she softens up her approach and opinion since she is on such a public platform. Her craft of dancing should be the focus, but when you say things that are rude or insensitive, people will see that only and it starts to blur the great shit about you. Take heed to the feedback, you're amazing and your resume speaks for itself. But, it should also match what comes out of your mouth and how you say things about people, especially a former employer who indirectly helped advance your career. She's a great dancer and all but a wise person once told me everything in your head need not come out of your mouth" Sometimes discretion is the better part of good common sense.
No one cares enough to stop her from getting jobs. Beyoncé is a human like the rest of us. She changes dancers like she changes her underwear. All she said about her was that people get so hyped up overt her that they never pay attention to see if her work is actually good. That happens alot

She should have kept that to herself, or at least kept it off of social media.
omg so crazy, saw her in Get Me Bodied/Check Up On It video and always wondered who she was/if she still dances for Beyonce
I had no idea all the things she has done and accomplished. That's dope! Go girl!
The azealia clip takes me out every time. “you a rude Spanish bi***, that’s why Beyoncé dropped you” lmaooooo.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
I HATE the new intro song!!!!!!!! (I say that with love) it’s not bad, it’s shut the last one was SIGNATURE to your platform!!!!!! Change everything else… go ahead… but PLEASE put the “I WANT YOU BACK! Oh YES” back!!!! 🥺
So do I. I really miss the old intro. 😪
We miss the old intro frfr!!!! Sooooo nostalgic🥰
The old intro song got flagged for copyright reasons.😭
@@brebre23461 daaannnggg it!!!🤦🏾♀️🙄
@@lynetterice8413 ikr i loved that intro!
I’v seen many little girls like her come and go in many industries. One can be talented & have great gifts, however being professional & humble will carry you a long way. She maybe able to land gigs/jobs in the past and/or today, she must remember there are unique young dancers/choreographers who can replace her.

Agreed
Thank you! Don't bite the hand that helps feed you!
Exactly love.
This. She’s so jaded. Fact remains bey gave her an amazing opportunity. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
She was booking way before beyonce. Didn't need her
I’ve had the chance of meeting her in my early dancing days and she’s a great dancer and a good person, I’m always happy to see her thriving, I’m sure she will be apart of much more great projects. 🥰
Thank you for this video. We were wondering how she was doing because of her great dance skills. We're sooooo happy she continues to shine and will continue to do well always. You Go Girl!!!
Danielle Polanco is an underrated legend who doesn't get the accolades she deserves 👏🏽
Black hip hop dance creators ALWAYS give their dances away. The choreographer is beautiful and should have been the lead in the video
I thought the same exact thing when I saw her. The BW was beautiful and it was her dance so why couldn't she do it?
he asked her for a dancer, she said she chose Danielle. she didn't offer up herself
@@meanieeheart4236
How does that change what the op is saying? Why couldn't the Black choreographer be the video girl?
@@levelup9547 why did she pick someone else for the role instead of saying no one else was capable? maybe she saw Danielle in this role, it was her choice.
@@meanieeheart4236
That is the op's point. So many Black women do not see themselves as the main girl or deserving of that role so they offer their talents to women of other races. How that is going completely over your head is astounding. The point is that anyone could be capable but she should have considered herself first and so should have Omarion.
This was such a fun video to watch! I was going down memory lane, saw her in Beyoncé's Freakum Dress video and said to myself, "Hey, that's the girl from Omarion's Touch video"! Googled her and came across this video. I had no idea of her impact. So awesome!
Wow okay this brought me back. I remember wondering who was this girl in Omarion's video. I'm glad you did a video on her it doesn't just show her success from Omarion's video but it shows her career from ground up. Bey or no Bey she still has a name for herself.
I don't understand why someone isn't allowed to speak their truth unfiltered. Yall put these celebs on a pedestal like they're above having someone publicly dislike them 😑
Facts, celebrity worship is what keeps people blind to constructive criticism of their faves. The yes men that works for them all because they are desperate to be close to a celebrity is what fuels the celeb’s narcissism even more
Beyoncé for some reason is protected half of her shit she literally copied off of people for the older generation. Doesn’t have a inch of originality 😒 she is a great singer and good dancer but I hate when people call her a genius she ain’t no Prince, MJ , Whitney , Mariah those people could Produce and Wright. Beyoncé doesn’t have Album where she truly showed herself . Lemonade only big Bc of the reasoning behind it (the songs are good ofc but her faking like she wrote that ish irritates me) Her music now is bland asf
@@marilyn1984 Nobody ever said she’s MJ, Whitney, prince lmao. In fact all those people you named have ALL said that Beyoncé is an amazing artist and that they love her. You sound so bitter just like that choreographer. You obviously haven’t listened to her last three albums to sit here and say she doesn’t show her “true self”. FYI Beyoncé has written and produced MAJORITY of DESTINY’S CHILDS and HER OWN music
@@s.s8364” nobody said” have what earth are you from her fans are crazy including you clearly. I said what I said
ANYBODY can have an opinion but also no opinion is VOID of criticism.........why can't people have opinions about Danielle's opinion? See how that works???? take it just as good as you DISH IT
I used to see her often. Her family luved in my grandmother's building in the bronx. She's so little. She was also always kind considering us kids would stare at her, star struck lol
She’s an amazing dancer!! I love the touch video!
I love watching her dance and love that she's still thriving
I truly love this channel. You always highlight some things I always wondered about in my childhood. Danielle was def a familiar face, I was so into music videos as a child ( and even tried to dance lmao ) but Danielle really did good for herself.
I find it so strange that people dislike Beyoncé at that iconic moment. Beyoncé embraces her culture and people start hating on her. I cannot.
She seems really fake and sneaky.
@@blessbkmn 🙄
Because they use our culture to rise to game and feel entitled.
Maybe people just dislike Beyoncé because they just dislike her, lol
@@niks7739 Yeah justify being bitter towards a beautiful, talented woman who keeps minding her business and isn’t bothering anyone😂
Such a great career!
I'm happy for her...
Danielle's commitment, passion, and smarts match her God given talent.
Thanks for this video 💯
She was booked and busy. I remember all these videos and didn’t know she was in all of these. Wow!
I'm glad you did a video on her! I remember when the video came out I couldn't take my eyes off her, I'm glad she was able to have a longstanding career!
She very much is still dancing and booking, teaching, and choreographing amazing works. I for one appreciate her for being unfiltered and wanting to see change. I don't know how deep you all may be into dance art but there is a standard and caliber that has to be continued to be pushed if we all really want growth. Hands down she is doing that the push is not always the step but more of can you be yourself in that and understand the lineage it comes from.
Wow the fact that I’ve seen her in more videos than I even knew just blew my mind! I remember that time and seeing her perform at the BET Awards with Omarion but damn I never imagined her credits to so grand!!! Kat Delunaaa I mean and even more credits for Omarion, Beyoncé, Amarie, Ne-Yo! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the music video growing up! J-Lo, Lady Gaga, Madonna! And even into the fashion and drag production! But the comment she made about Beyoncé seems like it came a deep resented place. Wasn’t right.
I definitely remembered her! She was everywhere.
You can't take her work from her!! Thanks for highlighting her efforts and works.
Wow thanks for this video! I had no idea that she choreographed so many performances and worked with so many people. Kudos to her. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
For her being in so many black spaces on a personal level, it took Beyonces, as I call it, her blackest album lol to want to say something negative about it. When the album is also about police brutality against black people. She should know better. Yeah, that was a shady move.
I'm tired of yall being surprised about these "Boriquas" and other Hispanics SHOWING THEIR RACISM! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE OUR PEOPLE BEEN TOLD TO DROP THEM AND FOCUS ON NEW COHESIVENESS AMONG EACH OTHER? EVEN DEVANTE SWING NEVER WORKED WITH ANY OF THEM.
@@alexw853 I'm definitely not surprised, I just did not know. I tell people myself that poc solidarity is a dream because no one respects us. We for sure need to just to worry about our own. But when it's big money involved with these celebrities it's a lost cause.
That's usually when it comes out. Ppl use black american yes black american culture to rise to fame. When we are exclusive about ourselves the attitudes start
@@NB-nh2sf I wish bp would ignore the attitudes from other ppl and just keep it pushing because that's exactly how other groups move when excluding outsiders from certain things. That's literally how respect gets created. When the group keeps their boundaries no one can intrude it. But way too many bp care about other ppl's opinions instead of their own.
That was one of my favorite songs and videos that O' did. They had one of the most memorable BET performances too ( along with Kelly Rowland). Being a dancer is grueling work. Man, Danielle has an impressive resume!! Say what you want to, but D' is direct AND talented. She knows her stuff. Everyone has their own lane. If she can keep up with Omarion, she's bad!!
To all the "she's allowed to have constructive criticism" people, how can one criticize after only watching 2 minutes? QUICKLY!
