The clones were created to die for the Republic... If you're interested in clones and feel sorry for them you should read the Republic Commando novels.
I think that it's a tactic to use against lightsaber enemies beacuse the lightsaber wielding person can just deflect it until they all get close to hit him/her.
wasn't necessarily dumb - his weapon was either shot out of his hand or broke. Clones wouldn't just sprint and run for their life so he decided to go down fighting which means going into hand to hand combat.
I mean there is the clone legion, can't remember which one, that did go melee combat into droids and won so it isn't completely hopeless to punch a droid I guess lol
Elite Wolf So being in pain instantly means you are dumb? Also what other choice did he have? Lol, if he's so dumb what should he have done then. Turn tail and run? Stand still? Lie down?
That we could see. He launched himself right into a line of heavy vehicles and a legion of battle droids who were all periodically firing. The fact that two of them blew up before they were halfway to the front line doesn't improve his chances much. We never saw him again.
to be fair to the first clone in the list standing next to a Jedi is generally not a bad idea and the Jedi could have and this is just a wild guess used the force to stop the door instead of dodging it leaving his clone to die...
also if they would have waited until the bridge was activated it would have given the droids more time to deactivate the bridge and they would have ended up with two dead clones a dead Jedi and no more options to take the city
Tank 1900 They had a command chip that made them obey it, a few chips were purposefully destroyed by their clones or by combat accidents or had a malfunction but 99% of the clones couldn't resist tho so it wasn't a choice
You said the clone demoralised the rest at 2:00. This is not true as the rest of the battalion followed in his footsteps and bravely charged towards the droid army.
the 212th clone trooper wanted to get inside the inner range of krells lightabers, so krell couldnt deflect his blastershots. actually i think this tactic would have been pretty effective against most other jedis or lightsaber Users. in revenge of the sith you see 501th clone troopers getting closer to jedis too.
PSJamie think about it, you are standing closer to the jedi and shoot him, he has less time to deflect your shot. if you shoot from a far distance, the jedi has more time to react.
YES. Or at least the clone wars to lead up all the way until right before revenge of the sith. But animated clone wars themed version of revenge of the sith would be awesome but just plain out rude and degrading to the cast and crew of revenge of the sith

How about the clones in battlefront 1 & 2 that just go to a corner and stand? i bet if this wasnt unknown u wud of put #1 commander fox cuz he didnt stun 5s
Kylo Ren I did but some managed to escape as I was using a scout trooper at the time. pistol's not that powerful and I was outta ammo for the sniper :v
GOD F***ING DAMMIT IF I STUNNED HIM IT WOULD'VE CAUSED HIM TO ACCIDENTALLY FIRE HIS WEAPON WHICH COULD KILL ME OR ONE OF MY MEN! If he would have just GOT ON HIS KNEES LIKE I TOLD HIM! HE WOULDN'T BE DEAD. But since he didn't and pulled a weapon on me I had no choice.

The Clone with Eith Koth; how was he supposed to know the door would come FLYING AT HIM at 20MPH? He probably expected the door to just fall down and make an entrance.

The first guy was pretty smart lol, he died quick and painless and didn’t experience any of the horrors of the commando droids or grievous like the others did
I agree that this 212th clone may wanted suicide but maybe he was so angry he wanted to try to take Pong Krell out by melee without himself being a jedi
no mention of the clone who was standing outside the big building they were holding the Malastare monster? here is the conversation: smart clone: "I don't think the door will hold." dumb clone: "shut up it will hold" (those are not the exact words it has been a while since i saw it. two seconds later the monster breaks free.
My account as to why these troopers make such chocies: 5. This clone was actually take a very smart position, slightly to the right of a jedi. Jedi are known for deflecting blaster fire and using the forces to deflect flying objects. This clone was using the jedi as cover and koping to get a direct line of fire at the droids, where as the other troopers were unable to directly fire on the enemy had they all come direct throw the breach. This is more likly a corroidor covering tactic, where a single trooper can hold down an enemy forces due to his postion, however the Jedi dodged the flying blast door piece and the trooper sadly died. 4. A heroic charge is known to rally men and for this trooper to true and rally his brothers is a bitter reminder that war isn't a story book or game, where heros are untouchable. This clone also served to act as a light in the dark driving his brothers to take up his spirt and fight on. 3. In all truth this was probably planned, true the troopers didn't know for sure, but they only had one chance and if Windu was overwhelmed as they charged then the plan would fail. Better to be lucky than smart any day. 2. A.R.F. Troopers act like cavalry in this situtation, where flanking might have been a better idea, we have no idea if flanking would be possible, therefore a direct charge was the only hope they had of out flanking the enemy. It didn't work. 1. Ever heard of a Zerg rush? Basically rush forward pouring as much firepower as you can and pray you get lucky, not a very smart tactic, but if it would've worked then he'd be a hero... a stupid suicidal hero. (I just wanted to try and defend them, but I highly doubt my arguements hold up as these troopers did show a willingness to die)
I remember one moment where multiple clones were dumb. I can't remember which episode, it was the one where Savage Oppress took over a republic outpost as a test for dooku (I think) so numerous clones literally walked in front of savage and were cut down like dominos.
I dont remember Anakin telling a trooper to go punch a droid in the face, or seeing that jedi tell a clone to get into a position so he will get hit in the face with a DOOR, or someone ordering a guy to try to rally his men only to get his head shot off..........
1: The face punch was a last resort his gun was shot out of his hand. 2: Doors don't always go flying in, they just get knocked down a lot. 3: They were given the command to move forward, he passed it along as it's part of his job, unfortunately he got dropped. Anything else you want me to assist you in today?
+DreamDemon Entertainment 1: Eh, well it was still rather dumb because he wasted his life trying to destroy a B1 melee without knowing how to properly do it, which suprises me considering that a lot of times we can see clones do just that and break their heads off. 2. The positon was actually smart as they were taking cover behind an object AND behind their Jedi general AND you've got some decent distance from the door too. Don't think anyone would ever see it coming that a door flies through half the bridge AND in a way that it doesn't just hit the object they hide behind and then stop. 3. Well, MAYBY, don't be the biggest target you can be while you do so and while you are constantly taking fire.
Just wanna mention two more: 1.The clone that bargde in the line of B1 Battle droids and tried to punch one on Christosis.Ended up hurting his hand and gunned down. 2.The clone that said: Good thing those bugs can't aim. Literaly after saying that, his ship got gunned down.
Another mention for dumbest clones is also on Christop, when the clones charge into the lines of droids and a dumb clone punches a droid yells out and then gets shot in the head.
Most memorable clone quote, at the 2nd battle of geonosis in Lang At Point Rain "it's good that those bugs can't aim" second later his ship got blown taking everyone with it
Im pretty sure the 212 clone wanted to close the gap to be a priority to Krell, closing the gap means he had less time to block the firing of his gun, leaving an opportunity for the others. But it failed and Krell used the opening to escape.
I don't know if anyone remembers this, but that clone trooper in Republic Commando, who, after seeing all his teammates get shot down by the elite Trandoshan with the big gun, ran towards it thinking he could take it on, only for him to be impaled by a blade attached to the elite's weapon.
I mean. The 5th one was standing right next to a Jedi, who I think was also on the strike team against Darth Sideous, so I would’ve imagined he felt pretty safe and thought that eath kof could have just forced pushed the door back instead of ducking like a coward.
In defense of these ‘ stupid clones’ 1. This clone was getting a good point to shoot at the droids with, there was no way he could know he was going to be attacked by commandos, he probably thought he was taking down standard B1s that have slower maneuverability. 2. He was trying to encourage his troops to win the fight. 3. They were ordered by syndulla himself to charge the bridge, so you can’t blame them all for doing what they were told. Plus, Ponds is a very trustworthy commander 4. They were trying to break the line 5. The clone that rushed Pong Krell, as evidence by how fast he was firing his blaster was trying to get a few body shots because the lightsabers would just block the blaster bolts
My favorite ones are the clones who throw their blaster at droids followed by their helmet and closely followed by their death. Then there are the clones who are outflanked by SB droids who holds them up in the air and shoots their guts out. Same scenairo a few different times.
I'm laughing my ass off because of the sax guy music at the end, because i'm imagining a clone trooper in every battle just playing his sax unbelievably loud
On #3. They had to charge at the abyss so they would be able to help Windu and the ARF troopers in time. If they waited till the bridge was up it would have took them more time to get pass the bridge, time the separatists had to take back control of the bridge. So they had to charge if they were to make it in time to help Windu.
Shoutout to the clones who first encounter Savage Oppress. "Commander, look! Giant Zabrak with a halberd--tearing us apart! Shall we flank him, kite him, perhaps throw gren--" "GET HIM!!" *All charge like they're the basic soldiers in Warhammer 40k, what else could this have accomplished other than potentially dulling his blade for the fight against the two Jedi??*
Another one from Cristosis: Clone runs up and tries to punch out a B1 of all things (I think it was a B1, though I may be remembering wrong and it was a B2), and instead either strains or breaks his hand at which the Battle Droid shoots him. Of course Cody makes it look easy.
I just thought of an idea that could counter the first one where the door is being cut in a circle, you could plant a breaching charge in the area being cut and detonate it when it's fully cut
In defense of number 5, that position gave a clear shot to the entrance, he had a Jedi and transmission desk between him and the door, and why would he expect the door to fly that far.
I think the AT RT's were actually kind of a good idea if they had at least 5 or 6 they might've been able to lay down some droids ahead of the barricade
The only reason I can think for number 1 is that his was trying to get closer so hit shot would have a better chance of hitting, like getting beyond the lightsaber while Krell was distracted deflecting the bolts and get a shot in.
Honestly the clone in the #1 spot should have been the bridge crew member still sitting in his chair when grevious was splicing into the control bridge
The last one just seemed like he was willing to role the dice with an attempt at a point blank shot the krell couldn't deflect, he probably came to the conclusion that they were all gonna be killed if someone didn't pull some ballsy shit.
What's really curious is that the clone that was standing in front of the door wasn't even close to the opening... He somehow magically teleported in front of the door for plot purposes.
As for dumb moves, I always wondered why the main weapon the clones were equipped with could barely take out B1 battledroids and barely scratched B2s where were they main two opponents they faced. I mean wouldn't you want your army's weapons to be able to kill the emeny without hitting it dozens of times? Not to mention, why doesn't each trooper carry a backpack full of drone poppers? Those only get used against small groups, but they would work wonders on the formations crossing the bridge in Crystosis (or however it's spelled.)
Can we talk about tha guy at the start in the hologram? Literally standing still in an open hallway that was underfire casually talking? He either had no fear, or was waiting to die.
To be absolutely fair, there's no way that the first clone could have known that Grevious would be capable of kicking a chunk of metal that looked to be at least a foot thick and several feet wide in radius as far and with as much force as he did. If I was that clone I would think that standing to the side and just a bit behind a jedi master would be the safest damn place on the whole ship.
I think his first example of dumb things that clones did was not actually a dumb move. He probably just didn't exspect a solid steel door that probably weighed hundreds of pounds; get flung at him like that. He was actually in a good postion as he had more cover behind the hologram machine as well as besides a jedi master who probably would've deflected some of the laser bolts that would've shot his way.
I always hated seeing clones die, it always felt like they were always just in the wrong place at the wrong time and didn't really ever deserve it.
accumbularate DoP well its a war. no matter your skill its always chance on who dies.
Keeping in mind they were basically slaves. It wasn't their war and they didn't have a choice whether or not to fight in it.
no, they where solders THEN! they where free men compared to to when sidious activated order 66.
The clones were created to die for the Republic...
If you're interested in clones and feel sorry for them you should read the Republic Commando novels.
Holy Mountain Druid Of Doom they were created to fight for the republic-the jedi and their allies always had their backs.
I think the reason the 212th clone ran into keel was because he couldn't live with himself knowing he killed a few 501st. He just wanted to die
Krell*
Jabba The Hutt I bet he yelled LEROY JEN... only to be cut off
Jabba The Hutt Or he wanted to get close enough for a headsho- no, no, he ran straight into Krell's saber, looking back on it
I think that it's a tactic to use against lightsaber enemies beacuse the lightsaber wielding person can just deflect it until they all get close to hit him/her.
Hey look, an enemy who is mostly effective up close, let me charge at him and may or may not fire my weapon cause plot armor.
Can we please not forget the clone commander that ran straight towards Savage after witnessing his squad get destroyed?
Deviant Sean I guess you could say... he got a head *Trauma*
kill me
Commander Scout Well I can say his death and the loss to of the Temple was a *Trauma*
Got room for one more?
Sean KingKomodo he couldn't bare the feeling of being *Oppressed*
Commander Scout At least he lost his life to a *Savage* opponent
Sean KingKomodo I think savage could have just *Knoxed* him out
what about the clone who punched a droid then got shot in the face?

He is the most epic Normal Trooper!
IDK about that.
Elite Wolf So being in pain instantly means you are dumb?
Also what other choice did he have? Lol, if he's so dumb what should he have done then. Turn tail and run? Stand still? Lie down?
"Its a good thing those bugs cant ai-" *LAAT blows up* - Randon clone
**cue piano man**
“Good things those bugs can’t aim”
Other clones:😅😓😓😅
Tim O'Hara no most of them died at their station in a episode it can’t be the member of the domino squad
to be honest, who actually says LAAT/C, why not just say Republic Gunship.
hmhm
You also forgot Mr. Melee, who tried to punch a B1 on Christosis.
Meme Lord He had a blaster with him, and they typically hold around 500 shots worth of charge.
Meme Lord He had a blaster with him, and they typically hold around 500 shots worth of charge.
+Scribe “Jack” Hammar it got shot out of his hands
Scribe Hammar Mr. Melee 😂
iReiGN xx Seriously though, that's what I'd call him if I was in his squad!
What about that Clone that punched a droid, then got shot?
Thought that too.
IKR
Zhengster I think that was brave
he was not stupid it was his last descision if you look closely the droid he punched shot his weapon out of his hand
Zhengster THATS WHAT I SAID
I call heresy that the clone that tried to punch the droid wasn't #1
Ryan Sorge it is heresy, where's the inquisition when you need them.
Yeah i thought that shouldve been on here too
He was dry on ammo tho wasn't he?
Andy Davis Nah his rifle got shot out of his arms
Cody was out of ammo and started pulling the same stunt, if i remember right
Here's a video idea: 5 Times Unnamed Clones Narrowly Avoided Death
Xantho ooooo that's a good one
Xantho you have my vote!
Xantho same as Thomas
that one dude in heroic acts part 1 or 2 that missed a rocket by mere cenimeters.

Top 10 clone betrayals
Geetsly's top 5 smartest clones? or maybe luckiest clones
Top ten anime betrayals
TO BE FAIR, one of the ARF troopers didn't explode.
That we could see. He launched himself right into a line of heavy vehicles and a legion of battle droids who were all periodically firing. The fact that two of them blew up before they were halfway to the front line doesn't improve his chances much. We never saw him again.

god don't remind me. it was such a stupidly written scene. that was a stupid clone right there.
to be fair to the first clone in the list standing next to a Jedi is generally not a bad idea and the Jedi could have and this is just a wild guess used the force to stop the door instead of dodging it leaving his clone to die...

Actually I think the reason he didn't stop it was cause he couldn't I think most zarbacks are weaker in the force then most species
I_Kill3d_D34th no,any species has differing force for example Maul was a zabrack and pretty good with the force
>MFW doesn't include Order 66 as the number one dumbest act performed by clones.
Tank 1900 They had a command chip that made them obey it, a few chips were purposefully destroyed by their clones or by combat accidents or had a malfunction but 99% of the clones couldn't resist tho so it wasn't a choice
It's a joke, not a dick, don't take it so hard.
Tank 1900 well hey you see some dumb ass people online I will always take it seriously unless jk,lol or a preface that says this is a joke
Fair enough.
New canon is dumb tbh
You said the clone demoralised the rest at 2:00. This is not true as the rest of the battalion followed in his footsteps and bravely charged towards the droid army.
You are very right there he did what he could
it's sad for me to see clones die they were so cool for me

I wanna see an animated version of episode three but with the clone wars voice actors
YES. Or at least the clone wars to lead up all the way until right before revenge of the sith. But animated clone wars themed version of revenge of the sith would be awesome but just plain out rude and degrading to the cast and crew of revenge of the sith
I'd also like to see an extended battle of Kashyyyk and an extended order 66.
I want to see Anakin kill those younglings...
I want to see the clone wars with actual actors
Herrlin That's hardly fair. A lot of the cast are well respected actors. Clearly it's the fault of the writing and director.
#bringbacktheclonewars
It ain't coming back, Disney won't ever be able to recreate the wonders of that show.
why?! The show was a giant middle finger to the first 6 star wars movies.
Shigeru Miyamoto Sama You might be the only one that thinks that.
i agree, but Disney hates us
Actually, you guys are the only ones how don't hate it. do a video about why clones always charge in towards obvious danger (examples: pong krell, savage opress, and literally every battle every)
TheSquilifier Because it's what they're trained to do. Fight and die for the Republic.
#4 was not dumb, it was heroic, and showed the clone had basic leadership skills. Showing leadership skills is how clones rank up! He was simply doing what other leaders do, but it shows that not all can succeed.
Holy s*** I wasent on this list :o
#1: Fox killing fives
Commander Fox #2 killing fives
Commander Fox #3 killing fives

And any unamed clone stupid enough to punch a droid whether it be B1 or B2. Like it or not clones they are indeed made of metal.
Lenny AKA Ark Bumpy Roose J.R What I find weird is the Clone punches the Droid and the Droid is fine but Rex backhands a Droid on Teth and gets an edge in the courtyard battle?
Sean KingKomodo its rex he's immortal
Stormy The Stormtroper Disney did make that clear in his last battle with the droids. He gets shot twice and just keeps going.
Sean KingKomodo first time that shot hit his shoulder, the second time the shot only knocked his helmet off.
Also, their armor does a lot. It's actually pretty effective agains shots (from a distance), many clones that are "dead" actually are just unconscious. Also, the droid's standard blasters are not as effective as, let's say, the sniper rifle that commando droids used (*spoiler? Probably not*) to shoot Rex.
Well rex got shot in the head and survived so the second guy could've survived definitly went unconscious at least
His head came off tho sooooooooo probably not
Paintball789 I always thought it was just his helmet. You see plenty of other people get shot in the head and theirs stay attached
Mario Ramunno Don't forget Captain Keeli who took a grenade to the face, and he got back up
I don't disagree with you, but when did Rex get shot in the face?
MysterySeeker rebels I forget the season but he kanan and ezra are fighting some old destroyer droid and it shoots him in the face. Knocked off his helmet but he got up and threw the helmet at the droid

I wish lol
Geetsly's By the way love your videos man
Nah, Geetsly is WAY to good for Stupendous Wave. Stupendous Wave just comes up with stupid "theories" and acts like they're Canon.
you forgot commander trauma, who pretty much runs right in front of Savage and then crouches before even trying to shoot
Well whatever Mace Windu's Clone unit was they should've been called the Suicide Squad...what have I done...
I've taken it upon myself to name these clones in relation to what they've done/how they died:
Clone #1: Hard Hat
Clone #2: Bullseye
Clones in #3 spot: Lemming Battalion
Ark Troopers in #4 Spot: Lightbulb, Doornob and Doornail
Clone #5: Will
5:11 that music timing
what always confused me was that the clone ALWAYS go towards the enemy yet they have LONG RANGED BLASTERS.
Vid starts at 4:55
I hope they make a battlefront game with clones again since learning about them and their lore is fascinating and making me like them even more. I want to be able to have battles as them
What about that ARF commander who ran into Savage Opress's axe?
Jrod ProductionStudios his name was Commander Trauma
The first guy was pretty smart lol, he died quick and painless and didn’t experience any of the horrors of the commando droids or grievous like the others did
I agree that this 212th clone may wanted suicide but maybe he was so angry he wanted to try to take Pong Krell out by melee without himself being a jedi
First video you've uploaded while I've been subbed and.... no audio. YOU HAD ONE JOB UA-cam
Is there any mention of how Clone Troopers took care of their dead? Like are any sort of funeral honors given?
Probably there were none, as the whole point of the clone army was for theme to have a large number of expendable clones
Don't forget about that one guy on cristosis that punched a droid in the face, then was immediately shot.
"212th clone that just gave up"
Huh?
(sees the tower)
Laugher
You're forgetting the clone that punched a battle droid on crifstofsis, flinched because he was punching metal and then got shot.
*doing homework* *sees new video* *burns homework*
no mention of the clone who was standing outside the big building they were holding the Malastare monster? here is the conversation: smart clone: "I don't think the door will hold." dumb clone: "shut up it will hold" (those are not the exact words it has been a while since i saw it. two seconds later the monster breaks free.
the monster was the Zillo beast
Great video
Got a like from me
The beat dropped as grievous kicked down the door XD
My account as to why these troopers make such chocies:
Nice point of view.
i agree with 5 and 4
I agree with 4, 5, and 3
The last one killed me XD
This isn't really dumb, but does anyone remember that one 212th clone in ROTS who gut punched a battle droid
Name of song?
Thank you ;)
Googol Epic Sax Guy
Googol HAHAHAHHA it was genius that song with that die moments
I really want to compliment you on how perfectly you timed the saxophone with the clone who died by the door.
#ClonesLivesMatter
I remember one moment where multiple clones were dumb. I can't remember which episode, it was the one where Savage Oppress took over a republic outpost as a test for dooku (I think) so numerous clones literally walked in front of savage and were cut down like dominos.
Only the last one was dumb, the rest were following orders... Pointless video.
+DreamDemon Entertainment
1: Eh, well it was still rather dumb because he wasted his life trying to destroy a B1 melee without knowing how to properly do it, which suprises me considering that a lot of times we can see clones do just that and break their heads off.
Just wanna mention two more:
1.The clone that bargde in the line of B1 Battle droids and tried to punch one on Christosis.Ended up hurting his hand and gunned down.
2.The clone that said:
Good thing those bugs can't aim.
Literaly after saying that, his ship got gunned down.
Another mention for dumbest clones is also on Christop, when the clones charge into the lines of droids and a dumb clone punches a droid yells out and then gets shot in the head.
Most memorable clone quote, at the 2nd battle of geonosis in Lang At Point Rain "it's good that those bugs can't aim" second later his ship got blown taking everyone with it
What about a dumbest droid actions and bravest droid actions? That could be interesting to see.
Im pretty sure the 212 clone wanted to close the gap to be a priority to Krell, closing the gap means he had less time to block the firing of his gun, leaving an opportunity for the others. But it failed and Krell used the opening to escape.
Number 5 was actually two clones standing there, but admittedly that's hard to see, and only one scream is sound mixed into that part of the episode.
Also there was that clone on cristophsis that charges a droid unarmed, punches it, screams at his broken hand and gets immediatley shot
I don't know if anyone remembers this, but that clone trooper in Republic Commando, who, after seeing all his teammates get shot down by the elite Trandoshan with the big gun, ran towards it thinking he could take it on, only for him to be impaled by a blade attached to the elite's weapon.
hey Geestly. I have rather strange request. what did the Geonoisians do with the Clones the picked up and flew off with? thanks.
There was also that one clone which decided to punch a B1 battle droid with his fist that ended badly for him from the clone wars movie.
“Good thing those bugs cant aim” that guy who literally got shot by a FREAKING BUG
I mean. The 5th one was standing right next to a Jedi, who I think was also on the strike team against Darth Sideous, so I would’ve imagined he felt pretty safe and thought that eath kof could have just forced pushed the door back instead of ducking like a coward.
What about that guy who punched the battle droid?
In defense of these ‘ stupid clones’
Plus, Ponds is a very trustworthy commander
4. They were trying to break the line
Im pretty sure the first one on the list was actually behind the cover of the war table and justifiably thought he'd be protected.
I'm laughing my ass off because of the sax guy music at the end, because i'm imagining a clone trooper in every battle just playing his sax unbelievably loud
I think the last one was subconsciously done, who was both sad and frigg'n pissed.
Of course Cody makes it look easy.
for #1. when that episode aired, I thought to myself, "why the hell are those clones moving towards General Krell? They have no chance."
I just thought of an idea that could counter the first one where the door is being cut in a circle, you could plant a breaching charge in the area being cut and detonate it when it's fully cut
I have a third one from the battle you talked about twice, it was a clone that lost his gun so he ran to the enemy lines and tried to punch a droid
In defense of number 5, that position gave a clear shot to the entrance, he had a Jedi and transmission desk between him and the door, and why would he expect the door to fly that far.
"Just a few clones lost in a war they knew nothing about" -- Right in the heart strings
You know what number 4 reminded me of?
That popular photo of soviet soldier in WWII who got shot seconds after the photograph was made
What's really curious is that the clone that was standing in front of the door wasn't even close to the opening...
He somehow magically teleported in front of the door for plot purposes.
In defence of number five, the door would be expected to just drop down, rather than be sent flying forward.
Number 5 is forgivable. No soldier expects a sliced door to come flying at them.
I think that the clone coming to Pong Krell was trying to shoot him because more closer he is, it's harder for a jedi to block blaster fire
To be fair, we only see 2 or the AT-RTs blow up when the 3 charged in, so that last At-RT could have mowed don't a few droids before going dying.
