@@lindaSee89 No they dont they absorb the yolk upon hatching , thats why they dont need to eat for the first day or so.

I think Brandon was as excited as Kayson was about the new egg hatching unit. Kayson loves his chickens. He is growing up and getting so smart about his chickens. He's awesome.

❤❤❤If I could make a suggestion about your cabinet incubator.... you want to make sure the table is good and sturdy and won't move around. The table shaking could effect your hatch rate too. Put it in a place that is study with no drafts. I can tell both Brandon and Kayson are so excited. I wish yall the best of luck with it. HAPPY HATCHING and God Bless ❤❤❤

I've been thinking about all the violent storms you all are having. Sure would be nice to have an underground bunker of some sorts. I would hate to see something bad happen to your sweet family. I love your videos.
With all of the fowl supply chain problems which don't seem to be going away, I sure could see the value of an investment into better incubator....Now you'll need to cludge together and build honest to goodness brooder systems for a quantity of chicks.

I’m intrigued with the incubator I raise pheasant quail but I like to do them in succession this incubator looks like it would fit the bill. Thank you for showing it to us and I’m looking forward to the review. I so appreciate all your kids and the way they are involved don’t know why, but Kason has a special place in my heart. He’s going to grow up to be an amazing young man because he already is.
Been hatching chicken, duck and quail eggs for over 20 years. Rule of thumb is collect eggs for 5 days and let them sit in the carton and slightly lift one side and rotate that 3 times a day. After day five, the eggs go into the incubator once the heat is at 99.5. We don't worry about the humidity as long as the room humidity is above 40%. On the day of lock down (3 days before hatch), raise the humidity to 60 to 70%. Once in lock down and the eggs are off the turners we do not open the incubator or play with the eggs. We use Hovabator incubators and two are for incubating the eggs and 2 are for lock down. Our hatch rates are between 95 and 100% doing this method. Wishing you well with your hatch.

Suggestion...carry a marker with you to mark the eggs from each breed....❤...always date and identify breed of each egg❤
Use some of your ground anchors on the front of the kennels, to keep it stable.

Just a little thing we do we use a pencil and write on the eggs the breeds and the date we set them. We never get rid of the eggs for a week past hatching day

So happy Kayson’s bad news turned into good news. So amazing how fast the gots are learning the Shute system. So cute how the babies were going in and out of it from underneath. Love the new incubator and really hope it does great for ya’ll. The tiny chicks at the end was awesome!
Baseball is the best thing for all kid's, it give them a chance to find friends and the ability to learn to work with others on what sportsmanship is all about. Now if only some parents will learn the word sportsmanship and not to be so protective of their of children, baseball is a game for the kids but the parents must let go and let them play without interfering , I raise 4 boys in baseball and have seen it all !!!!

When my kids were growing up we hatched out chickens. They were hatched out with a hen sitting on the nest. We also would do a mail order of chicks. I don't remember the breed of chicken but they would lay in the winter. The eggs were big and brown in color. Beautiful light brown chickens with feathers on there feet. Very docile chickens. My son and husband would take care of the chickens just like Brandon and Kaydon do in the video. Great watching the excitement of the eggs going in the incubator. Love your family and been watching since you started to live on the property. God Bless your family.
