I was adopted by the best parents. When i did things wrong though i was sent to my room and i remember feeling rejected and i felt things were out of control. I desperately wanted th lem to cuddle me i would cry so hard the whole time i was there. I remember it very well. . It has affected my adult relationships. When my family dont come back when they said they would i would get that out of control panic thing again.
i was adopted and i also have adhd and all my family now just blocks my number bc i need to talk to someone a lot or they just dont care about my proplems my parents get pissed at me for everything like if i dont even do one small thing like not put the bins back properly and they dont understand that i do to help my stress and if i try and tell em they say that im just trying to get them to let me do what i want but im not i just try and help my stress go. so like i go on my laptop at night bc i wont sleep unless i get tired and i do whilst looking at a screen or watching something but they think im lying and they dont care. my family also treats me different from everyrone bc me and my cousin both have anxiety but my cousin gets more support then me whos adopted with adhd and anxiety.
That may be the case but in the context of this it is invalidating of the effects of the traumatic loss and early care deficits on the developing brain. It is aling the lines of denying the adoptive persons feelings or experience of how it has affected them in so many ways You should be grateful etc look on the positive side etc. You cant be grateful for the positives until you deal with the loss that came first thats my opinion and the lack of understanding of that and its impacts. Thats my experience fifty two years and a whole lot of stuff.

My friend adopted her child as a baby. She is having terrible behavior issues. My friend is struggling know how to deal with this issue.
There are also a lot of parents that don't care about their children at all and abuse and neglect them. Thank God for adoptive parents.
