This video just shows that big guys like Brodie are actually gentle giants and comes across very humble with huge respect for his opponents, that's the respect between the Springboks and the All Black's right there, great interviewer is Big Jim, my favorite currently!!!
They edited out the part where Brodie kicked a stray cat so the gentle part is questionable.
Brodi is a great player. As a South African, I love the respect the 2 teams have for each other. I have never heard or seen players of this two teams speak evil of each other. This is always the best games to watch. All Blacks has never disappointed with their great skills and ball handling. They were the best of the best for many recent years. Springboks had to play catch-up. Now the 2 teams
are so even, it is impossible to chose a winner until the game is over. Respect is the key word here !!!!!!
as a springbok fan, when they release a team sheet ahead of a SA-NZ game & if ever retallick's name was not on it, i would immediately have a great sense of relief

Honiball was a very underrated player. He wasn't flash but did the basics well and was hard as nails. When we were at varsity a mate of mine got tackled by him and he couldn't breathe for a few minutes
I'm a kiwi and the guy I used to be nervous about when we played springboks was Jacques fourie,the only guy I can remember who smashed ma'a nonu!😫

@@portorportor8247that’s what all the NH clowns said before the last World Cup. 3 out of 4 of the semi finalist were SH. I wouldn’t be surprised if the SH smash the NH is all the games this week. Despite the game starting in Europe, the SH has always and will always continue to dominate rugby.
When you can’t win, excuses are the next best way out. Steriods🤣, it’s not the SH fault the European are blessed with small man genes
@@portorportor8247 no stress - I actually love Conor for all his hard work. And I get lots of joy watching Ireland do well - you guys deserve it for the years of passionate rugby you played - I used to love watching Keith Wood and co, let alone BOD / ROG era.
South Africa is dangerous, yes, but getting robbed or murdered isn't the only danger in this world. For some people the biggest danger is never leaving their comfort zone & spending their life on the couch cos it's easier. I've seen many people from 1st world places lose their zest for life because of small-town thinking, so keep your wits bud.

2015 Brodie was at his best, whereas 2023 was probably Etzebeth's best season so far.
Na Eben has had numerous better seasons than 2023. He was better in 2022.
@@peterhunter6040 seriously? His performance quarter final game against France last year was the difference maker. He saved a try and scored a try, and somehow got carded too 😂
@@davsavchav he played a lot of games but I only remember him standing out in the France game and an Argentina game. He was pretty unnoticeable other than that.

As a Bok supporter when their names were on the team sheet you just gulped and hoped they'll have an off day--which never happened. Throw in a back row with Jerome Kaino, McCaw and Kieran Read with Owens and Mealumu up front and match day becomes a looong day

It's funny, when I watch Brodie playing against the Springboks he always looks so tough, so hardcore. And I often have to say to myself, this is an okey who thinks, feels and can talk but oddly enough this is the first time I have seen and heard him talking. On the pitch, I never see him speaking. He seems like Frans Malherbe in that regard. Quietly does his job to the best of his ability.
Just a quickie Brodie, if you eat the kind of meat we have here in SA, you too can grow arms as big as Eben. Lastly, there are 18 year olds in South Africa who are bigger than Eben Etzebeth.
Don't think Retallick needs to get bigger. He was 122kg... you don't run on your arms!
