The absolute chaos of this show lmao. I'm here for it.
Good for you Schalla, for chirping Bryce in Japan. Biggest refereeing injustice in rugby. Ever
Pdivvy had a tough job and took it in his stride. No matter how the media or public perceived him, he was and is always respected by the players he coached. I think there is something to respect and admire in that.
Great coach. Real guy. Big respect. People never gave him a chance but he proved his detractors all wrong. Salute Mr De Villiers we love you man.
Coach Peter makes such a good point that the weakness of the one player becomes the strength of the other. I understand what he means by 'average' because none of them won the player of the year or tournament at the world cup last year. In fact very few of them made it to the world cup team. But they won the world cup together, which proves the point....
Pdv, thinks like a fisherman, bokoms.
@@SteveWarleekeep coping, that Ricky January try will forever be one of the best Bok victories ever. Bested one of the greatest ever AB teams. In 2011 WC they even had Rassie as an analyst but still lost, just shows how corrupt the reff was. Hope he enjoyed his new job as Head of Reffs in NZ after the WC while it lasted, swine.
I have a lot of respect for PDV. What a great man, and coach. The 2011 Springboks can definitely feel hard done by.
The referee of the day robbed the Boks of a World Cup 2011
@@vjmightyw I can't remember
Awesome guest appearance, that was beautiful..
Holy moly what a maaad show. I love it 10/10
Shoo. As much as Nik is frivolous and irreverent, once the gravitas of the conversation is established... he handles it like a seasoned pro. Bravo sir.
PDV and the Boks had one hell of a year in 2009.
That is an understatement 😂
He got rich off the back of an awesome Bulls Superrugby team in 2009.
@@ryansmith2249 and what did Heyneke Meyer do with the Boks, other than lose to Japan when he got the reigns?
Richie McCaw would agree ..
@@sandorclegane3658 3rd place in the World Cup losing to the winners by just 2 points. Not getting knocked out by crappy Australia in the quarterfinals.
As one of PDV biggest fans I seriously enjoyed the interview...
It is always fascinating to see the respect and connection between Snorre and players...
If it was not for BL he would have been considered on of the greatest as he woukd have been the first coach to defend the RWC.
LEGENDARY
Bollocks, he took over a fantastic squad from Jake white
Never change Peter de Villiers. Never change. I haven't laughed this much in a long time. 🤣🤣 But behind the jokes you can tell is a proper rugby man who knows the game.
Got into big trouble watching this show at 04:00 in bed next to my wife. I had my headphones on. She was sleeping and I couldn’t stop laughing. Woke her up and she wasn’t impressed.
HUHUHUHUHUHU!!!!
lol same here
Funny how your perspective on Pdivvy changes after watching this. Smart guy
I still think SA rugby owe P Div an apology and some decent support.
The helium scene was incredible😂😂
Grew up in the Apartheid era and supported the All Blacks before not only because of oppression but also for their style of play. All Blacks will always be my second team after the Boks because SA is my country and Boks are playing this exciting style of play
@ 18.03 they were not sanctioned by NZR, those players went on their own accord and gave themselves another name, understanding full well this may hurt them in the end. But to say the All Blacks came over as a Rebel team (The Cavaliers) is not right.
After that the aftermath created the Baby Blacks, which in turn bought about a new era in All Black history.
Loving this group, good laughter but a undertone of Boks4life
That first 2 minutes were gold. 😂😂 If podcadting fails, you have a career in comedy. Subbed
Is this the greatest episode of the series...🎉
The segment where the Helium did nothing to coach PDV is just golden...😂
This was absolutely refreshing. Great interview
This is absolute gold!
Wow, tough questions, regarding South Africans supporting the All Black's, even though it feels very wrong and there are /were apartheid influences in the past, I appreciate the fact that we still have freedom to choose in our country, we have a free country in many ways. Some of my friends that supported the All Black's told me it's because they like the way the All Black's play, I personally can't see myself ever supporting any other team but the Springboks, thank you for all your hard work to represent us as South Africa ❤
P Divvy is an absolute a LEGEND! He doesn’t get enough dues for what he did.
I will go further than he and the boytjies, 2011 was our year, just some bad reffing got in the way which happens in sport sometimes…
Simply loves the sense of humor of PDC 😜💪💯. Enjoyed ure interview. Thnx PDV for putting a smile on my face.
If Bryce Lawrence never happened and the boks had an opportunity to win 2011, how would that have impacted the perception of this team and rugby in general. BL was an absolute monster, and i dont mean that in a good way.
BL was paid...
@@tiaanfourie3181Div put us at BL mercy by having too many passengers... Pocock like any good opensider played to the ref's whistle and played the situation
Thank you for mentioning my home neighbourhood of Westering in Port Elizabeth. My 86 year old mother still lives in the same house 👌🏻🇿🇦
Put Gio Aplon along side PDV and Schalk. Should be a really Intelligent rugby conversation, id pay money for that!
The best intro to any podcast lol Flippin funny!
Schalk is pure gold !
Brilliant show.
PDV was such a legend on this show. Schalk is a true gentleman.
never forget that Ricky Januarie chip kick to try , to win it in Dunedin ! but 29:40 is classic , lol \0/
Great chat fella's, loved it.
This was great, thanks!
😂😂😂love the helium section. Great chat.
The Bok team in 2011 were robbed in the World Cup. They would have won that tournament.
Satire? Dream on, and the ABs robbed in 07...🤪🤷♂️
Agreed that was a very strong bok Squad
@@thrusta100keep crying
@@bradrockl8330 that’s the 1st comment you slow W⚓️
PDV respected the players, thats why the players listened to him and respected him, regardless pf how sensitive the conversation is.
“Greatest export since Avril Williams” Nik Rabinowitz is a laugh of note 🤣🤣🤣 Hilarious as a host 🤣
They get along like a family at a braai😂
PDV perspective on the ABs support is interesting and the concept of supporting everyone other than the Springboks makes sense... Anyone but the ABs would make more sense
Amazing episode
15:03 I've had such a nice morning before hearing that name
I like the opening great atmosphere ❤❤❤
First time watching. This guy is hilarious
Good to see PdV still dropping in gems with total horse manure. Just cannot help himself. 🤣
Golden moments
Wow this was such a awesome show.
How we miss PDV ❤
PDV came to boks at wrong time I love his running rugby.
I also will never understand the huge support all Blacks enjoy in Capetown.I am and always was aBok supporter and support any team who play against ABs
This coach was the first time we saw Rassie and Nienaber recruited to rescue the Boks after such bad results, drop in ranking, SARU had to do something avoid embarrassment at the WC.
Amazing how few remember this.
I think you may be confusing him with Allister Coetzee who was dismissed in 2018
@@herbert-se6qg Nope. Leading up to rugby Championship/Tri-Nations before WC that PDV was in charge, wr dropped to 6th in the world and Rassie/Nienaber were called from WP to come train 1st team, rescue Boks before WC while PVD toured away to NZ and Aus with second string team, leaving Rassie/Nienaber entirely in charge of final prep before that WC.
PDV road the coatails of Jake White legacy until end of 2009 and then wheels fell off when he had to start prepping himself, with players retiring, he had done nothing. He tried reinventing Bok rugby when he took over just like AC and Boks lost her first cpl games under him even 2008, before going back to Jake White rugby and winning.
Like I said, the FIRST time Rassie rescued Bok brand, ppl have forgotten about, rescuing us from AC was the 2nd time. AC was the sequel.
I respect you Peter you clearly showed Jean his white perspective isn’t the only one
PDV one the best coaches we had after Rassie what he probably would've won the WC in 2011 if it wasn't for Bryce Lawrence
This was absolutely hilarious... Yoh
I fully agree, most players are all good and that means average - brlilliant legendary players in this Bok team in Few and Far between.
Collective the sing together once the bomb squad comes on...
😂😂😂😂😂 wow what a episode geez😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂Best one yet
The coloured community supported the All Blacks because we've always been marginalized. To this day the coloured community is still not black enough for the perks of BEE nor have we been white enough back then. It's a complex matter and their choice to support NZ in this day and age should be respected and people should shut up about it. That being said, I am and always have been a proud springboks supported. My household has always been divided however and half of my family were always all black supporters and still are. We remain proudly South African 🇿🇦
Jaa.neh!!,? They go far on their "averageness" don't you think. Welldone BOKKE! You are a super team. ❤ you all. 😊
I'm still mad about that quarter-final in 2011, that ref.
😅 i think Schalla and Jean must be thinking they are being pranked
Even the helium knows😂
Can’t wait till u guys get jungle joe on !!!!
What a hoot 😅
P Divvy the Legend ❤
Who is this ou. He's hilarious 😂 😃.
You're right I can't take him seriously. It's Pieter DeVilliers, ex Springboks coach. I always laugh when he talks
Nik Rabinowitz is a comedian...
Schalla waar is jou skoene? Dis winter!!
Wow dit was nou lekker
Pierre Spies God fearing gent but jeez he was really fortunate to win all those caps when you think of those great no.8s Duane was making waves at the Stormers I remember John Mitchell in 2011 coaching the Lions prepping for WP paying special mention to Duane saying " this guy we're playing against Saturday should be at the RWC in NZ for me he is an international I don't knw why he's playing Currie Cup😢"... There was also Ryan Kankowski,Josh Strauss,Ashley Johnson,Pieter louw, so many great players😢.but like Snor just said he was not coaching he was in awe of the players especially the Bulls Meyer broederbond and Smit were calling the shots...the fact that he thinks this legendary squad is average is really shocking 😮 FYI meneer snor Etzebeth is an athlete not a cheap shot thug like Botha, Marx is a team man not a diva like Bizzy,De jager,Sous are not just lineout callers like Matfield, and Siya is a far useful "passenger" than J Smit, the environment is far more inclusive for introverts like Mapimpi unlike Jongi Nokwe experienced under this "black" coach and yes Mr. "black" coach transformation on the FIELD is for all to see in this legendary era..just look at this Snor in his element like a little Jack Russell ( inferiority complex in the flesh😂).. imagine a Bok coach saying players no longer needed coaching😮...we really thank God for Johan Erasmus when we consider the intellectual challenges of the 3 coaches who came in after Jake.. especially De Villiers and Meyer.. Coetzee just didn't have a fking clue at all shame 😂 ...Yeses no wonder Saru exiled this clown I was actually feeling sorry for him until he reminded us why by opening his unrefined mouth😣
"that's a different show. The BEE version of this show."
Best Rugby Show Ever! This Combo is a Winner!!!🎉
Right players, not necessarily the best players!! Rassie's take on selection!!
Tell them Peter. Why wil they support the AB if NZ was the one country who made it so difficult for us to get apartheid out of rugby.
Nah dont talk shite, apartheid wasnt in Rugby it was in SA. In fact Tobias in the 80s was part of trying to change the statis quo
@@JohnTerblanche-l1r you must be joking or you've got no idea what you talking about. Apartheid part of everything in SA even in rugby......oh sorry maybe you not from SA.
@@patrickpetersen5stop judging people for supporting ABs, NH teams also played the boks in this time like Eng, Fr. Colored folk cant identify with Maori so let them chose who they wanna. Why arent you judging those SAs who dont support Bafana but infact prefer Western Europe teams. Come on now be realistic not judgemental. Its a free country
Despite the referee, with all that territory and possession, we should have still taken that game. Could have attempted a few more drop goals, 1 more would have made the difference.
Damn… I didn’t not need to hear B. L name again. So much pain. 😢
Bryce Lawrence still the 2011 cup from us
How quickly we forget the k*k P'Divy had to deal with. Still coached one of the great wins over the ABs
Jean's dad does not understand why he cannot view this episode on his cell😂.......
The hakka is pretty cool when you are winning and pretty stupid when you're not.

P divvy what a champ lol
This is insane lol
What a show with pdv 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
❤❤
Man, the Boks have had some really kak coaches...
Peter De Villiers being named after PDiddy was a great foreshadowing.
A rugby team or any sports team for that matter don't define me as a person....to say you are "Proudly South African" is the biggest lie ever....if you are proud of this country you are definitely not fooling me. You may fool the world but not me....if u are so "proud" would u take a bullet for your president...that's patriotism.....not supporting a rugby team. Hope Bafana Bafana get that same PRIDE as the Springboks get.....I don't think so. So no one will decide for me who I should support or not...I don't care who you support....why are u worried about me. Let me live my life and you focus on yours.
I ❤ NZ Rugby and that's it....I don't have to explain to anybody why!!!
This is for the panel of "experts" in the video. Thankyou!
#TeamAllBlacks🖤🇳🇿🏉
Offcourse you can support anyone. There's a difference between pride and patriotism btw. And as for Bafana it would be nice if they actually had a white guy but that will have to change at club lvl first, so why would I be 'proud' of them if I cant identify with them. I'll support them anyday as a SA but wont care too much about the results as they dont bring pride by winning and the above mentioned which honestly isnt to bad if they were good but they arent not even in Africa, could barely beat Lesotho which has less Basotho than SA...
No need to bring DNA into this, it's RSA or NZ, and some AB supporters see them as gods but do note them as a country has their own history of discrimination.
@user-kk4lw4mr6i I'm a Christian and the only one I have to be accountable to is GOD. People don't set the standard of what is right or wrong in life....GOD is my standard NO ONE ELSE....especially not a South African rugby supporter. I'm sorry I'm not stupid and don't fall for this false rainbow nation narrative....that foolish I'm definitely not. But then again its true a rainbow does not last forever....just like a 80minute rugby game and then its gone....So SA's are only proud of a teams or individuals that's performing.....and only support those they can identify with.....so much for Proudly South African. I'm a PROUD CHRISTIAN and that's all that matters to me...#NoFurtherComments

My opinion of coach De Villiers never was high - it is even lower now
I didn't appreciate the dead people jokes.
Wish you asked him about the Book Beast Mtawarira wrote about him being critical. Mtawarira has no Black Consciousness and lacked sense of history. That's what we get for inherenting people that does not want to integrate with South African people and their history. The book was rightfully boycotted.
Mxim what Black consciousness does Devilliers exihibit... actions speak louder than words, documentation beats conversation and history is the most qualified teacher...wena you are defending something you don't understand and I don't want to name drop people's names but you have no idea of the manoeuvring done behind the scenes for this guy to get that job in the first place..A winning RWC coach was let go, A Super 14 winner was overlooked, the late Mike Stofile lost his SARU deputy presidency advocating for Devilliers..so for him to be a sell out puppet and betray the ideals Johan Rassie Erasmus, an afrikaner from Despatch has made a reality these past 6 yrs is really telling...Black consciousness my foot bcoz his own actions showed he is not "black" ..never has, never was and never will be
@@SiyoyoStofile-kw6yh ndiyakuva Ngxarha. I understand how the appointment De Villiers came about it is highlighted in the podcasts and I feel he was thrown in the deep end by how he was introduced to the team. It was political straight up. But he needed to get going and he didn't get the buy in that Erasmus has. It would have been a bigger disaster if he embodied what Rassie has at that time. So a sense of sympathy ikhona. To my point about black consciousness kulento ka Mtawarira icace gca ngoluhlobo ndiyibeka ngalo. He shouldn't have thrown Peter Divvy under the bus
@@alutangcaku7616 Ndikuvule ke Bhuti🙏 ..bendingazi nalo ncwadi ka Beast
What is this about ? You can't inherit people... Care to explain what Mtawarira said to justify this ?
If your angry about Jean asking if after 30y how to justify AB support, it's just a question mate. Coach answered diplomatic by pointing out most colored people still dont have proper facilities, etc.
What is this nonsence of black consciousness? Black people arent uneducated and illeterate like in past. They are very sharp.
Imagine getting so angry over a simple question you make it about skin color... When it's clearly about national pride. Boks vs Abs. Simple as that.
@@JohnTerblanche-l1r hey there mate. No this is not about the All Black's historical support in the Black and Coloured community. I understand the history quite well as I am from Eastern Cape which also has a large support base. Here I'm talking about Mtawarira who has no sense of history regarding the book he wrote in which he goes after PDV. That's where the Black consciousness comes in. So if you understand and subscribe to blackness my statement shouldn't come across being any different from what I meant. As you can see between me and the user in this reply we understood it. So this matter is between black and black nothing about the All Blacks.
Great show but snorre is a clown. He just does not understand rugby. He inherited a great team. Thats is.
No Mr jean devilliers we can support any team we well damn please it's called freedom of choice go cry about it
Ja chill man, you certainly can support anyone you want. Dont listen to Jean he sometimes gets a bit like that where he thinks his opinion is only one that matters.
