Moon Knight does have powers, basically back in the day, he had super strength that grows through the phases of the moon, but usually now, it's just him using his moon themed gadgets, and no staff. And he usually has 4 different personalities, Marc Spector, the main one, is a mercenary who was saved by Khonshu (the being in the trailer), Steven Grant, usually the billionaire personality who funds his equipment (Here he's the British mild mannered audience viewpoint), Jake Lockely, the New York taxi driver who gets info on crimes from the streets (don't know if he's in this), and finally Moon Knight himself, the brutal side of him... But there's so much more to him, and other splinter personalities.
I've read only the VERY early Moon Knight, and I know that they've changed him. I never got to the part of his resurrection. But he originally entered the comics as somewhat of an antagonist to Werewolf by Night, he gets bitten by a werewolf, but instead of changing into a werewolf, he simply gets superhumanly stronger the closer it gets to a full moon. He has no powers except when there is a moon showing. Also, originally, his alternate identities were simply roles he consciously took on in order to obtaiin information about whoever his target was. That changed later, from what I've read. What I've seen on Wikipedia and other places actually does not exactly gyve with the comics regarding his early start. In his early days, he is not mentally ill or even unstable, nor did he originally have multiple personalities.

Moon Knight, or Marc Spector, first appeared in the Marvel comics in 1975. Moon Knight is commonly described as Marvel’s version of Batman, one of DC’s most famous comic book heroes, as both characters are essentially vigilantes who fight crime. In Moon Knight’s origin story, Spector is a former Marine and CIA agent who then becomes a mercenary. During a job in Sudan, Spector is attacked and badly wounded, so he’s taken to a recently unearthed tomb for shelter and is placed in front of an Egyptian statue that depicts the moon god, Khonshu. In front of this statue, Spector seemingly dies but then miraculously wakes up, fully healed, and remembers a spiritual encounter with Khonshu who offers to save Spector’s life if he agrees to protect and avenge the innocent by becoming the ‘moon’s knight’. From here, Spector returns to the US and begins to fight crime under the alias, ‘Moon Knight’. Spector, or Moon Knight, has only one special or supernatural ability, which is ‘mystical insight’, so he also uses his intelligence, combat skills, and technology (gained from his previous job’s training) to be a superhero. Spector also uses four other identities or ‘personas’ to gain information from different social circles, and in later comics, it’s revealed that Spector suffers from dissociative identity disorder (and has since childhood), which is why these four other personas are so multi-faceted. Not to mention, in the comics, some stories present Khonshu as an undeniably real god who did save Spector from death, while in other stories, it’s implied that Khonshu and the whole reasoning behind becoming the Moon Knight, is all in Spector’s head and is a part of his mental illness. So, it will be interesting to see which direction the MCU version takes; especially considering the MCU has some films that are firmly grounded in reality but others that are pure fantasy.
I'm going to go on a limb and assume that that's the most loose usage of the phrase "firmly grounded in reality" that's ever been thrown around, no matter what movie or show you're referring to. 😅
It was literally confirmed several times in the comics that khonshu is not just in marcs head since other characters have interacted with khonshu. Knull the god of symbiote knew who khonshu was and he was even the main villain in one of marvels recent runs where he bodied all of the Earth's heroes so Marc had to fuse with the pheonix force in order to go toe to toe with him. After he was defeated he was locked up in Asgard and is still locked up there. Also Marc had super human strength that would increase depending on the phase the moon was in so he has more than just mystical insight. He did lose his super strength at some point but it was later stated in midnight sons that was released in 2009 that khonshu took away marcs super strength because of marcs disobedience towards him. He is also incapable of dying because khonshu keeps bringing him back so immortality can be considered a power of his as well. He can also gain additional power of the moon god deems it necessary if Marc is in dire need of a specific power for instance he was given the ability to absorb any living things life force because he was being overwhelmed by dozens of monsters.
I'm loving that the show is gonna delve into the supernatural side of the MCU and with Moon Knight's dissociative identity disorder, it's gonna be really cool to see
It seems like Disney is going to get around the typical hero origin story/introduction by having Moon Knight already be established in this world, but as a different personality than 'Steve'. It looks like Steve is the POV character for the series and he's going to discover who and what Moon Knight is along with the audience...looks interesting.
I personally think for the first half of the season we (the audience) will believe Steven is the main personality however halfway through it’ll be made clear to us (as well as Steven) that he’s actually an alter which would have him question his existence a bit.
Sadly one of the stars of this series, Gaspard Ulliel who plays one of the villains named Midnite I believe, was actually killed today in a skiing accident. As for his powers in the comics, they vary by who's writing the comic. Having a Mystical origin writers have increased his abilities wildly over the years to fit their narrative, some have written him as basically human (but schizo) others have written him as incredibly powerful, and everything in between. One thing to note at the 4:50 point in your video, that's a freaking werewolf he's beating the crap out of lol.
Really happy for Moon Knight fans. He's finally getting his deserved time in the spotlight. I always thought Moon Knight was cool as hell but I've never read a Moon Knight comic
Two things I love about Moon Knight is that one why his wearing a white costume, in that regard he’s the opposite of Batman because Batman is black so nobody can see him and he lures in the shadows or whatever, but Moon Knight wears white so his enemies CAN see him coming, because (according to himself) they will be too scared and shake to much to be able to actually hit him with their guns and so, also his fighting style, not even Taskmaster can copy his style of fighting and then easily defat him because Moon Knight doesn’t block, he never blocks or dodges hits he always gets hit and if Taskmaster would copy and fight like him he would be knocked out or die, he’s got insane durability
Yes, he has powers that are based on the phases of the moon. The character has 4 personalities- moon knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley
I personal favorite alters for Moonknight are: Captain America, Ironman, and Spider-Man. (For those who don’t know; I’m not joking he does turn into them from time to time if the situation demands it 😂)
I think those powers were only canon in early iterations of the character. He hasn't been shown to have those superpowers for decades now, IIRC. I think the last time he did was in like the West Coast Avengers run in 1985
Sometimes he have powers, Sometimes he think he have powers...sometimes he think he is the representation of an egyptian god, and sometimes he think that he is... Very unique character.
I’m really excited for this. The Moon Knight comics have been some of the most consistently great comics Marvel has published over the last decade. Lots of excellent creative teams with plenty of things for the show to pull from.
Marc Spector was a mercenary for the US and in Egypt & got possessed by an ancient Egyptian God Khonshu. He suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder and has 3 Identities, US mercenary Marc Spector, Billionaire businessman Steven Grant and taxicab driver Jake Lockley. Thanks to Khonshu, he has the powers of the moon (enhanced strength during full moons, prophetic visions & dreams (what he describes in the trailer), and the ability to drain someone’s life energy through physical contact). He’s Marvel’s Batman but more extreme & powerful than him.
Loved Moon Knight and wish it had a longer run but he had a number of series going 10 to 38 issues and a number of mini-series plus numerous appearances in other comics.
In the comics I think it said something a long the lines of... During the day he has the same strength as the most fit/powerful human men. During a full moon he can lift roughly 2 tons. Also I think his brain was tampered with at some point although I'm not sure if it gives him any powers/abilities.
@@calebstephan2083 in some comics it is said that Khonshu's connection with him has furthered his DID and might even have given him brain damage and altered the structure of his mind.
At 3:54 when the light flashes you can see the skull and staff of what appears to be the Egyptian god of the moon, as you mentioned earlier in the video.
I think they only directed 2 of the episodes. Wish it would’ve been all of them because they’re really good, definitely most excited for those episodes.
What makes Moon Knight so cool in my opinion is how his Dissociate identity disorder interweaves with his superhero identity. Some identities know more about the moon Knight than others, For example in the comics the original is a Indiana Jones type who has the curse, however he had one identity that was Moon knights publicist, another was a Billionaire, another was a Cab driver on the poverty line. This TV show seems to be taking it in a different direction with who the identities are but I’m glad it’s touching on the same beats. This series looks super cool
Moon Knight wears white because he wants his enemies to see him coming. He wants them to fear him and what he will do to them. In the comics, he did not hesitate to kill his enemies so he had a hell of a reputation.
Mazel Tov on your wedding! Can't wait for both your reactions to the show! I think you guys are going to LOVE it. Btw....Holden, how can you be sporting a Batman shirt and reacting to Moon Knight on your thumbnail? *Rends garments* "Blasphamy!"
In the comics he once was part of a team called the midnight sons, blackknight(dane witman from eternals), blade and the punisher were also part of the team once, seeing all this dark superheroes team up in love action would be so awesome
Moon knight...he is originally Marc spector,a mercenary who dies on a mission in Egypt, and is brought back to life by the moon god khonsu ,and has to serve as the moon god on earth,so he has the power of the moon god and his powers vary acc to the moon, that is,his power is at its most during a full moon...he has different personalities,Steven grant,a millionaire, lockley a taxi driver,Marc spector as moon knight and mr.knight,a detective.....this is the comics story, idk what they'll chose for the show
You were pretty accurate on your assessment of Moon Knight; I'm looking forward to it, too, having read his exploits since his first appearance, ages ago.
I would say both moonknight and Batman are very similar but the thing that sticks out the most is the fact that Batman is more driven by vengeance and moonknight is more like the embodiment of it, he kills people who deserve it no matter if it affected him or not, which makes me VERY exited for this show.
Btw, one of the stars of the series, a french actor named Gaspard Ulliel, died just today in a skiing accident. He was 37. I have never seen him in anything. But the New York Times describes him as one of the stars of the series. IMDB lists his character as "Anton Mogart / Midnight Man"
One of the many good quotes of Moon Knight is: "I dont wear white to hide myself. I wear it so they'll see me cmoning. So they'll know who it is. Cause when they see the white, it doesnt matter how good a target I am. Their hands shake so bad, they couldnt hit the moon"
Im sure this will be glossed over and most of the commenters will fill you in all the other details about Mr. Marc Spector, but a thing to note is that Jen said she liked how he was white and gray and his outfit is that because he craves the idea of vengeance and wants his enemies to see him coming. He has a great quote in one of the runs where he essentially says “I dress in all white so my enemies see me coming, and it doesn’t matter if they see me coming because they’ll be too busy shaking to do anything about it.” He’s badass. Cannot wait.
1.3K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 Thanks for the fun video and get well very soon! 😎🖖 It has been awhile since I've read about him or read his stories. So I'm looking forward to this incarnation.
The most interesting aspect of Moon Knight in my opinion is if he is actually the warrior/chosen of an Egyptian God or if he is just insane. Really love how they are going all in with the multiple personalities because thats what makes Moon Knight so damn interesting. Also can't wait for you 2 to react to it, keep up the great content and get better soon x
Moon Knight has been one of my favs for a long time and I'm excited about his series. In some comics his strength, speed ,and reflexes become stronger with the different phases of the Moon but in some he doesn't have that. He wears white because he wants the bad guys to see him coming and know it's indeed him chasing them.
There's one Moon Knight story line in which he calls on the Avengers and some other heroes to help him track down an Ultron head being sold on the black market. He teams up with Wolverine, Spider-Man, Punisher, and a couple others. At the end of the story, it's revealed that he was hallucinating all of his allies and replicating their fighting styles.
His batarangs are shaped like crescent moons. I read some of the comics when I was a kid but the story went over my head. I remember very little about him now but I do have his Funko Pop.
If you guys like the style that this was shot in, you really need to watch Last Night in Soho. One of the best movies from last year and it's fantastically shot and acted.
They release the trailer, poster and the synopsis of the series in monday, which fun fact: Was the same day that the first full moon of the year appeared
You were pretty accurate. His one of those ‘urban-style-myth’ characters brought to life, he gets his powers from the moon so the potent it gets (brighter I think) the more stronger HE becomes.
Marc Specter is his original personality, the version who is a mercenary that died in Egypt on a mission and revived by the moon god. Stephen is a British rich guy also another personality. I think he also has a child personality, as far as I know he has 4 personalities and in some comics he also has schizophrenia. He also has moon-shaped “batarangs”
Just like Hawkeye, Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, before it, it'll blow people's minds! Just another NEW character for Marvel to explore and to give it to us right!
Moon Knight is interesting because it was a common theme to question whether he was truly an agent of Khonshu (the Egyptian god) or if it's all just in his mind (due to his mental illness). He is an anti-hero who has been in between either being cursed by hallucinations and such due to his resurrection, or whether it is his consistent battle with mental illness. In the comics, other heroes have typically seen him as 'that crazy guy' and have always avoided him because of it. However, the fact he is willing to kill villains (and actually went through a phase where he would torture them before killing them) has connected him with Punisher a few times, because their mindsets (sort of) align - at least moreso than either of them do with any other heroes. Captain America has actually argued with MK before, saying "Castle belongs in a cage, but you belong in a straightjacket." Also, in terms of powers, his original creation involved having superstrength, agility, etc. under moonlight (back when he was made to be an antagonist to a werewolf) but he hasn't been shown using/having those powers since like 1985, so most people just assume he doesn't have them anymore (iirc he talks about why he doesn't have them anymore at some point but I forgot what is said, but it's a common misconception that he has superpowers at night, Holden is right that nowadays he is more like Batman - gadgets without superpowers). In older versions of the character (in fact majority of his comic appearance) he has had multiple personalities (including his own creations but also twisted versions of Spider-man, Captain America, etc.), but I believe his most recent comic run (before the 2021 one, which I haven't read yet) he merged all his personalities and said goodbye to his split-offs, saying he doesn't need them anymore. But they might have retconned that in the new 2021 run to align with the series.
Also, it has been a long-running meme to compare Moon Knight to Batman, because of their similarities. Both were millionaires, both use gadgets, both don't have superpowers. Batman has the batmobile while Moon Knight has had some really silly 'Mooncopter' iterations
Anytime anybody asks me about Moon Knight I just tell them about the one comic panel that always sticks out in my mind, it proves just how insane the character is. I believe it's him and Spider-Man and Spider-Man essentially asks him, "why is your suit white instead of black or a darker color that way you can surprise attack the enemy?" To which Moon Knight replies, "I want them to see me coming." Mind you I'm paraphrasing.
Y’all should totally yo watch the New Rockstars breakdown of the trailer so both of y’all can get an idea of the character. I also didn’t know much and I feel like it will be helpful
It looks so good, I've always enjoyed the more mind bending mystery stuff. I loved Legion and I hope it manages to toe that line of dark but not edgelord
He has 4 to 5 personalities: Mark Spector ( Main character), Steven Grant (Businessman, Billionaire), Jake (Taxi driver), Moon knight, Mr.knight. In this trailer we saw Moon knight and Steven personality but I'm stocked for Mark Spector because he's badass mercenary, and he's the main protagonist
As I understand it, Moon Knight did have superpowers at one point. Granted to him by the Egyptian moon god Khonshu that brought him back from the dead, Moon Knight's strength, speed, and endurance were enhanced, but would increase and decrease based on the phases of the moon. That meant he was at his strongest during a full moon and at his weakest during a new moon, though he'd still be incredibly strong. But at some point in the comics, Khonshu took these powers from him. Surprisingly enough, Moon Knight was once able to lift and use Mjolnir, as the metal it was made of (called uru metal) is essentially moon rock.
Yeah that was in one of the recent run. Khonshu basically gave marc access to all of his powers which essentially gave him the ability to take control of mjionir since the metal used to create mjionir was from a moon that was forged in a dying star.
I don’t really read comics and such but from seeing comic panels online randomly, there was one panel (which I don’t know if it’s canon) but Thor throws Mjolnir at Moon Knight, but Moon Knight actually stops it and prevents it from going back to Thor saying something along the lines of that Thor doesn’t really know what Mjolnir is made of, which Uru is supposedly made from a metal from the first moon in existence. So it technically has properties of the moon, which Moon Knight is able to “control the moon”, thus letting him essentially control Mjolnir. So while he doesn’t really have “powers” like most characters, he does have powers if that makes sense.
Moon Knight's real name is Marc Spector and he has DID. His most notable personalities are known as Steven Grant and Jake Lockley. He has a psychic connection to the Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance, Khonshu, who is the creature that was walking towards the elevator in the trailer. Moon Knight has had powers previously but he doesn't anymore. Khonshu took them away for disobeying his orders. His powers were, enhanced strength, speed, and endurance and the strength of these powers depended on the cycle of the moon. The reason he gives for wearing white is so that his enemies see him coming
So the reason many people don’t like the comparison between moon knight and Batman is because many view it as a completely superficial comparison, some differences are: Moonknight is a cold blooded killer;Batman refuses to kill Moonknight wears white as he wants to be seen;Batman wears black as not to be seen Moonknight has a destroyed mind; Batman while not completely sane looks sane compared to moonknight Moonknight doesn’t know how to block (I guess technically it’s he refuses to do so);Batman does block Moonknight (at least originally) gets different powers based on the moon cycle; Batman has no powers Moonknight has cut off the face of his biggest enemy and wears it around his house; Batman would never do that lol matter of fact that’s more similar to something the joker does And that’s about all I can remember it’s been awhile since I did any deep dive on him but those are some points :) can’t wait to watch it and I hope y’all enjoy it.
RE Powers: It depends on who was writing the stories at the time. Moon Knight was originally silver and was an enemy of Werewolf by Night. Then got his own series as a hero, silver became white. He wears white because he WANTS his opponents to see him coming. As a prize fighter, he is an excellent boxer. Sometimes the series run would say he had powers (back when the used the gadgets, which were weapons granted by Konshu), but as a Moon Knight fanatic, I prefer the series runs when the reader had to make up their own mind as to whether he had powers or if he was just insane. This is because his powers can be explained away with mind over body/adrenaline rushes/pain endurance (similar to punisher). Moon Knight is the only hero that I know of who scared Taskmaster when Taskmaster was sent to kill him. Because Taskmaster could see that Moon Knight's fighting style is just taking a beating and keep punching. Moon Knight kicked Taskmaster's butt. I love being left up in the air as to whether he as powers or is just so insane that he thinks he does when he is Moon Knight.
He used to have powers based on the moon's cycle but that's been scraped. His current comic book run is however toying with the idea that he may be immortal in the sense that he is resurrected every time he is killed.
It's sad that people refuse to acknowledge Apocalypse. It has too many great scenes and it really grows on you if you give it a chance. I thought Oscar did great with the material he was given
Based off this trailer, it seems very different to anything Marvel has produced before. I'm hoping it pays off so much because Moon Knight is one of my favourite heroes

Really happy for Moon Knight fans. He's finally getting his deserved time in the spotlight. I always thought Moon Knight was cool as hell but I've never read a Moon Knight comic
Read the current run. There is currently 7 issues and it's fantastic so far.
Not insane durability, just insanity 😂
@@thepapakeeganshow6440 Also godly levels of pain tolerance
Yes, he has powers that are based on the phases of the moon. The character has 4 personalities- moon knight, Marc Spector, Steven Grant and Jake Lockley
Oh hi mark
@@byronwolf8692 basically
I personal favorite alters for Moonknight are: Captain America, Ironman, and Spider-Man. (For those who don’t know; I’m not joking he does turn into them from time to time if the situation demands it 😂)
I think those powers were only canon in early iterations of the character. He hasn't been shown to have those superpowers for decades now, IIRC. I think the last time he did was in like the West Coast Avengers run in 1985
Don't forget Mister Knight too. His detective side who works with the police on cases
He has powers at night that makes him really powerful, but that's all I know about this character
The actor playing Midnight Man in this series just passed away in a skiing accident. May he Rest In Peace 🙏🏾
Holden entering into "not knowing the character much" domain and Jen being like welcome to my kingdom 😊 awesome journey
RIP to the actor in this show that recently passed in a skiing accident.
I loved the Von Doom Easter Egg
@Evan Rainey it sadly was confirmed to not be a Doctor Doom Easter egg 😔😔 Doom’s time in the MCU is coming soon tho 😎
@@rileyribble6733 well that's a bummer
Loved Moon Knight and wish it had a longer run but he had a number of series going 10 to 38 issues and a number of mini-series plus numerous appearances in other comics.
In the comics I think it said something a long the lines of... During the day he has the same strength as the most fit/powerful human men. During a full moon he can lift roughly 2 tons. Also I think his brain was tampered with at some point although I'm not sure if it gives him any powers/abilities.
His brain wasn't tampered with. He just has dissociative identity disorder which is a real illness.
@@calebstephan2083 in some comics it is said that Khonshu's connection with him has furthered his DID and might even have given him brain damage and altered the structure of his mind.
Yeah they didn't mess around when bringing in the talent on this show. This has the potential to be epic.
At 3:54 when the light flashes you can see the skull and staff of what appears to be the Egyptian god of the moon, as you mentioned earlier in the video.
The directors are well known for cosmic horror movies
I'm so happy we are getting Moon Knight finally and show that he isn't just Marvels "Batman".. he is a very complex character(s...)
Just a fun fact: You really need to see the Moon Knight vs Punisher comic page. That conversation is incredible.
hows your non existent god?
In the comics he once was part of a team called the midnight sons, blackknight(dane witman from eternals), blade and the punisher were also part of the team once, seeing all this dark superheroes team up in love action would be so awesome
Moon knight...he is originally Marc spector,a mercenary who dies on a mission in Egypt, and is brought back to life by the moon god khonsu ,and has to serve as the moon god on earth,so he has the power of the moon god and his powers vary acc to the moon, that is,his power is at its most during a full moon...he has different personalities,Steven grant,a millionaire, lockley a taxi driver,Marc spector as moon knight and mr.knight,a detective.....this is the comics story, idk what they'll chose for the show
each moon phase gives him more powers on full moon it's the most powerfull for him, at least on the comics, they could have changed that
"I know you're here, Dracula, you big f*cking nerd. Where's my goddamn money?"
-Moon Knight
@Absolute Carnage my guy just wants his Ketamine 😔
U two are awe-inspiring
Sick and still pumping out the videos. Thank u for being u. Hope yall get well soon
Really excited for this one. It doesn’t look like something Marvel would produce!
I agree same with shang chi that didn't feel like a mcu movie to me
Marvel are so good at changing things up. They fully get it.
@@j-zhirngaming9550 Hope this one is better
Holden, I love how you edited your reaction shots to mimic the trailer. Very nice touch sir
Actually I guess I’m giving Devin credit for the edit!
Im sure this will be glossed over and most of the commenters will fill you in all the other details about Mr. Marc Spector, but a thing to note is that Jen said she liked how he was white and gray and his outfit is that because he craves the idea of vengeance and wants his enemies to see him coming. He has a great quote in one of the runs where he essentially says “I dress in all white so my enemies see me coming, and it doesn’t matter if they see me coming because they’ll be too busy shaking to do anything about it.”
He’s badass. Cannot wait.
the use on the day n' night music made the trailer so much better
He's an awesome character. Been one of my favorites for about twenty years. Hopefully Disney does him right.
1.3K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍
Thanks for the fun video and get well very soon! 😎🖖
It has been awhile since I've read about him or read his stories. So I'm looking forward to this incarnation.
Love the black and white transitions for this video. Very well timed and appreciated
Thanks Raven!
Song choice was brilliant Day n Nite being a song about a man who can't sleep and mixed with this ahhhh brilliant can't wait for this.
I find myself whistling your outro every now and then.
I JUST noticed in this watch through, Moonknight is beating the crap out of some type of monster/ creature, not a person!!
Oh i cannot wait for this.
You know your end credits are getting so long you’re going to need your own mid credit scene
Hopefully this is the dark marvel character that Jenn has been waiting for!
If this show is as good as it looks and sufficiently dark and mature it might give me some hope that Marvel can do Daredevil justice on Disney plus.
I know little to nothing of moon knight but the show looks amazing and I'm seeing it once the clock hits midnight, just for dramatic effect.
Huge props to you, Devin.
The music editing in this trailer was really good too, great use of the song
They release the trailer, poster and the synopsis of the series in monday, which fun fact: Was the same day that the first full moon of the year appeared
trailer had me thinking Spawn mixed with Me, Myself, & Irene
Amazing reaction, and really looking forward to the new series. But nevertheless I'll keep suggesting the law abiding citizen.
Dissociative Identity Disorder, is what it's called. I recommend reading into it, Moon Knight's awesome
This looks great!!!! Love the dark tone!! I pray that you both make a full recovery! Enjoyed the reaction 🙏🏽
Just like Hawkeye, Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision, before it, it'll blow people's minds!
Just another NEW character for Marvel to explore and to give it to us right!
I also believe the show's writers include writers from Daredevil.
I don't know anything about Moon Knight but comics fans seem to be really excited and so am I, I like Oscar Isaac too
Moon Knight is interesting because it was a common theme to question whether he was truly an agent of Khonshu (the Egyptian god) or if it's all just in his mind (due to his mental illness).
Captain America has actually argued with MK before, saying "Castle belongs in a cage, but you belong in a straightjacket."
Also, in terms of powers, his original creation involved having superstrength, agility, etc. under moonlight (back when he was made to be an antagonist to a werewolf) but he hasn't been shown using/having those powers since like 1985, so most people just assume he doesn't have them anymore (iirc he talks about why he doesn't have them anymore at some point but I forgot what is said, but it's a common misconception that he has superpowers at night, Holden is right that nowadays he is more like Batman - gadgets without superpowers).
You guys should look at breakdowns for these trailers so you could get an idea of what you’ll be jumping into :>
Anytime anybody asks me about Moon Knight I just tell them about the one comic panel that always sticks out in my mind, it proves just how insane the character is.
I just have to say this first off glorious bedframe respect to an amazing two people
In loki voice: I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 30 MINUTES!!
Jen's alternate name for Moonknight: Grey Man
the series looks phenomenal
He has 6 personalitys as far that i have read from my collection.
I like that instead of saying Oscar plays Poe Dameron he said Apocalypse when he was blue and unrecognizable. 😂
The name of the actor who passed away was Gaspard Ulliel.
RIP.
Jen thought the exact same thing I did when she mentioned that he looks like Ghost from Ant-Man & the Wasp
I'm really excited about this!!!
So the reason many people don’t like the comparison between moon knight and Batman is because many view it as a completely superficial comparison, some differences are:
Moonknight is a cold blooded killer;Batman refuses to kill
Moonknight wears white as he wants to be seen;Batman wears black as not to be seen
Moonknight has a destroyed mind; Batman while not completely sane looks sane compared to moonknight
Moonknight doesn’t know how to block (I guess technically it’s he refuses to do so);Batman does block
Moonknight (at least originally) gets different powers based on the moon cycle; Batman has no powers
Moonknight has cut off the face of his biggest enemy and wears it around his house; Batman would never do that lol matter of fact that’s more similar to something the joker does
And that’s about all I can remember it’s been awhile since I did any deep dive on him but those are some points :) can’t wait to watch it and I hope y’all enjoy it.
A main character Anton Mogart, played by Gaspard Ulliel tragically just passed in a high speed skiing accident.
This is one of those shows, that casting makes or breaks it. From what i have seen, this looks like a winner.
He used to have powers based on the moon's cycle but that's been scraped. His current comic book run is however toying with the idea that he may be immortal in the sense that he is resurrected every time he is killed.
Moon Knight's first appearance was fighting a werewolf, and he seems to be punching one in the trailer.
