      Didn't it give you flashbacks of similar move he did on Penny and Shaq in 95 Playoffs. Man, MJ was tooooooo NICE.

    -Believe it or not, Elden Campbell was the player in the game, with 34 points and 14 rebounds.
    -Shaq was out a knee injury. Rodman was out as part of an 11-game suspension for kicking a cameraman lol.
    -This loss dropped the Bulls to a paltry 42-6. Just insane.

    • @jasonbournesburner3845
      @jasonbournesburner3845 4 роки тому +1

      Correct, imagine if Rodman does not get suspended, easily back to back 70 win season, probably be 75-7!, then ended up 69-13.
      In 92, they went 67-15, almost had 70 then, so 3 times 70 wins which often gets overlooked.

    What a move by MJ behind the glass! Eddie Jones & Kobe basically the same player. EJ was super athletic

    • @TheSands83
      @TheSands83 3 роки тому

      Yeah it’s true Eddie was a better defender imo but clearly Kobe ended being a little better on defense but I have always thought Eddie Jones was a great defender

    • @meg-k-waldren

      @@TheSands83 I disagree. Eddie Jones was the better defender through and through. Kobe hustled on D but he wasn't stopper and low post D was really wanting. Kobe's my guy but that's just fact.

    Damn this Lakers lineup was magical. Van Exel was a PG beast. Eddie Jones could’ve been what Kobe became. As for the Bulls, of course Jordan you can’t dock his living legendary rep. The proof is here. It’s also dope seeing Kobe as a rookie here. He could’ve been basketball’s greatest ambassador in his retirement I swear. He had everything going for him to be just that especially since Jordan never wanted that after he retired. May he rest in peace.

      @@dantheman92317 Well I don't know if it's HIS fault per se. Shaq was out a lot of his first and some of his 2nd year with the lakers due to injuries. Plus West was shuffling people around man. Felt bad he got fired lol. But man when Jackson took over, the team turned around for real.

    • @rumarspencer7302
      @rumarspencer7302 3 місяці тому

      @alonzotanner1226 All Phil did was use what he achieved in Chicago and brought that knowledge to an already talented Laker team, just needed direction and Phil provide that for us, and plus he knew he can win with our lakers, he didn't want to go to a rebuilding team.

      I remember I said to my brother the following day after this game, I think we can match up well with Chicago, cause of our talent at the time, he said it seemed that way.

      @@rumarspencer7302 Yeah I recall earlier in the year the Lakers blew a big lead to the Bulls on their home court though. I was never really a Lakers fan but I did love these teams back in the day for whatever reason. Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones were my guys.

    • @rumarspencer7302
      @rumarspencer7302 3 місяці тому

      @dantheman92317 Yeah I like Nick and Eddie, good backcourt, worked well together, that 94-95 team was my favorite laker team to never win a title. Far as the first meeting of 96-97 at the United Center in December. Yeah us Lakers had a 18 point lead, Bulls came back and forced overtime, and Rodman-Shaq got into it, and Bulls finished it in overtime by 6, but in this February 97 game, Lakers led by as many as 18 at the Forum, but made up for it by holding on to win by 16, so we got revenge, even in the season series, got our payback, Bulls fail to sweep us.

    I hate when clowns say dumb crap like MJ didn't face competition. Ahem, wha'd'ya call this Lakers team? A team by the way that Utah and Hornacek eliminated in 97 and 98 who MJ then beat in the finals.
    And 4:56. WOW! Looked identical to the play he did on Penny and Shaq in 95' playoffs v. Orlando (commentator: "...for Michael they're on their feet"). MJ is entertainment dejour.

    Saw had the team as you can see just like he did in 96 when the magic beat the bulls without him but him missing to many games and how that affected horse grant when saq says he would have beat wilt and dominated we agreed but because he didn't show up saq missed the 2 best seasons of his whole career 96 and 97!!!

  • @keithnone6860
    @keithnone6860 2 роки тому

    Saq promised Rick buss, magic and Laker organization that he was going to win 73 games in regular season, sweep playoffs, and finals and win championship. But we're is saq. You have to play 82 games not 51 games. Had he played those games he missed with Orlando in 96 the could have won 70 plus and maybe beat the bulls again. Those two seasons that saq missed way to many games put him behind wilt Jordan and alot of people cuz he wouldn't show up. Lakers got lucky this game.

    • @rumarspencer7302

      No luck to it, Lakers just simply out played the Bulls, out ran them, Bulls couldn't match up with the Lakers in this game.

  • @keithnone6860

    Saq was lucky Orlando in 96 and Lakers this year didn't move him somewhere else cuz he was fine and ready to go. Saq was worse then rodman when it came to parting and some but rodman showed up! The big show??? Maybe half the time
