George Thorogood performed the best of all performers in Live Aid 1985. As with all his work he does in concert, he puts forth his best. And his best is damn great. Just watch him.
George is a pure artist. Look at the artwork of his hands, and hear the artwork with his guitar. The entire band is top-notch caliber. His voice is even matching to the music....in two words about his work....REAL COOL !
I was in that crowd at the tender age of 17. George was one our favorites at the time. Best concert of my life, obviously.
He is about the best with his showmanship. George is great and still touring at 71 years old.
You and me both, Brother. I fell out of my chair when Led Zeppelin arrived 95 in the shade and nothin but birch beer and hotdogs....remember ?
This is Georges' best version of this song and when Albert Collins came on and played it was the icing on the cake!!
Finally it is released , now we want to see "Who do you love" with Bo Diddley
The footage is only known to survive as German and Dutch off-air recordings. Anything this channel uploads will probably be no better than the serviceable fan made hybrid Dutch off air video coupled with USA radio audio that has been available here on UA-cam for several years.
Thank You. for doing what you do George !
Glad to see the musicians they invited to perform were diverse in genre. The blues fit the cause.
Great concert at the all time.
When George cuts loose/gets unleashed into one of his long bridges, no one can compare to it. He is ALL IN with what he is doing and pulls other enthusiasts in with him. That is a gift...talent on loan from God.
This is how a guitarr should sounds like.
Love this cat ...
George was the epitome of cool.
