Your friend from Georgetown. From 1989 to 1999 I was there to help set up for the show at the Frog Follies. I also had been to the E-ville Iron club meetings, I met Army Armstrong at one of the meetings In 1989 the registration was around 400, my last show they were around 5,000 registered. This is also where I bought my 1935 Ford Tudor slant back from a friend in Evansville. I had a friend from Hatfield and we would camp out on the fair grounds every year. Frog Follies was the car show that I liked best of the five large shows I went to every summer. By the way I still have the 35 Ford, it has not been out of the play room since 2005 when I had back surgery.
Very cool, man, those were the good ol days. I remember those days well at that show. Yes, definitely one of the better shows to go too. Hope you start feeling better soon so you can get that 35 out on the road!
Brother i love the fact that you take the times to walk thru and show all these cars in these shows and swap meets its a joy to see cars of all kinds that WELL YOU JUST DON,T SEE SO MUCH ANYMORE GREAT GREAT VIDEO YOUNGMAN
I can tell you who would buy that 1956 Lincoln it would be Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. That car would be right up his alley because it is the kind of custom cars he digs. He went to a car show one time in Louisville KY seen a rat rod truck driving to the show pulled the guy over and bought his truck right off the street.
This is more my type of show. I prefer to buy from individuals. The prices are much better and that 40 four door was something to look at. I bet it sells quick if it runs good to even ok.
Been to a ship load of car shows myself all over our country roadsters nats street rod nats north south east west locals and churches and to me the VERY BEST TO ME WASH IS THESE FROG FOLLIES the cars the enviroment the people the locals to me UNBEATABLE
So many cool 😎 cars. Nice bucket at 46:40. 2:10 66 GTO if I had it $ I would get it. Same for the 68 28:15 in this case I think I would go for the 68. 31:36 I had a shot at my 1st car for$600 bucks, a 68 442. It was red, black conv. top like that Cutlass. But I had to pass. I had no experience with a 4 speed and the guy had it so wound up I was afraid I would wrap it around a utility pole. 29:51 My Dad's first car was a 52 Chevy that same color he bought it new and had it with him when he was stationed at Cherry Point NC. 42:26 that trunk is so big the whole family can save money on a hotel.
That 46 is what frightened me about class cars. That cancer rust. You sand that down and put new paint on it. It will come right back, it's too deep in the metal and to much rust and you will see bubbles popping up in the paint. I have see it on classics on car lots . A couple 1940s to 50s ford pickups with new paint doing that
@@THROTTLEPOWER no problem I thought it was a 67 lol I was there yesterday and seen most of the cars I should have took my pro street 57 Chevy and tried to sell it

Thanks, you too!
I went to Frog Follies about a decade ago. A one of a kind event. Loved it. Definitely a midwest vibe to it.
So true, it really is Daniel.

That 32 was the car I was looking for when I bought the 35. I could not find one in 189-90 for that kind of money.
A 35 is still cool to have!!!!
You could take two sworn enemies to a car show, walk around and taking in the views a the funk of an ol' skool and they'd find something in common.
I agree!
always put them up on a rack and check frame and under neath for rusted worn frame and bracing
So true George
The side windows in the 5 window back of the Chevy cab for wall art are worth at least 250 dollars

I heard him called the 3rd car, a 68 GTO ragtop. I replayed it 3 times and that's what I hear until he reads the forsake sign and calls it a 66.
👍👍

I know, I'm with you on that! 👍😉
That's a 67 GTO not a 68 a 68 is completely different body style

Thanks for sharing your story John. Do you ever wonder what happened to that car/or where it is today?
I’m not hoping to pay their mortgage.
Didn't see any deals?
You know would it not be something to take that 5 window chevy backhalf and make a sweet wall hanger fish tank and hide the pumps and paint it ?
