The first five minutes: When I'm practicing anhyzer shots in the field I line up the footwork like you've described here, but just recognized I'm not making that adjustment on the tee pad...which makes for inconsistent drives on a couple of local holes. Taking the day off work and heading to the course for a practice round or two.
Thank goodness Brian listened to his body and heart. You have a gift man. Other than describing love, explaining the flight of a disc is the most difficult and worthwhile story telling for human beings.
I'm absolutely loving this series and my two favourite videos thus far are definitely this one and the "4 types of hyzers" one. So in these two videos you are talking about 6 different shot shapes (stock hyzer, push hyzer, stall hyzer, spyke hyzer, anhyzer and turnover). Is it possible that you would be willing to go even deeper on each of these different shot shapes? For instance talking about what different types of stabilities in discs do for each shot. Just a thought😀
I think one of the best things you can do is learn all of these shots on your own, + throwing every type of disc on these lines. It will teach you how you throw and how the disc will affect it.
I was literally just talking to my friend about this a few hours ago and what do you know? This pops up. You're much better at explaining this than I am. Great video once again!
Ugh… my heart goes out to all you lefty throwers having to watch all the content from righties… the struggle is real for a newbie like me trying to learn these principles watching a lefty throw in this video throw lol
This is SO helpful. I need to go back and watch this several times. I see a few things that I really need to work on now that I have a better understanding. Thanks again for this great Series and addressing these two shot shapes. PERFECT explanation!! 😎
Throwing the right discs makes a huge difference as well. Trying to flip something that's over stable is very hard compared to under stable discs. Throwing a 13 speed discs is going to require a lot more power and spin. Personally, an 11 speed under stable disc can get a flip and turn before going into the fade, and I don't have to absolutely rip the throw. A 9 speed I can give a nice easy flick and control it's flip really comfortably. Mid ranges even more so. Find the disc that wants to fly the way you throw. Kasterplast's Alva and Lots can be super flippy and fun to use.
Have you all considered showing a mirrored version of the video when Brian throws? He is an excellent teacher, but sometimes it is hard for righties to visualize in reverse.
Right from the very beginning something looked very odd and I couldn't see what it was until you said you're lefty. At least now I know how I look shooting my shots🤣
Brian, such a good teacher. Thanks for saving this for later because of the complexity of it. Master the fundamentals, then add shot shapes like this to improve and to gain ground.
As a lefty and backhand dominant player, I always use my backhand turnover/anyzer throw. At first it was difficult, but once I understand the disc needed and fundamentals to get this shot down, it gets easier. Great video!
As a LHBH only player trying to advance to the next plateau after gaining some good arm speed, this is exactly the medicine I need. So many form faults pointed out I know I do...Such a good video on the subject that makes me want to go to the soccer field rn to work on stuff. Would love to see this connected to shot choice for course management in another vid.
I was waiting for this video to come out! My go-to shot is a turnover with a sidewinder or heat but what Bryan said here is accurate. It's a shot where everything needs to be perfect or else its gonna be way off. Having watched this video I now see I need to regress back a bit and work on those other steps before relying on this shot as my default on most holes except headwinds. Thanks for the tips
Now this is epic. Just like having a real private teacher. Love it. The earlier you learn it, the better.

*Intro plays* me - "none of those holes are anhyzer holes..." *remembers Brian is lefty* XD

By FAR one of the best teachers in the game!
Well I now understand why my anhyzers are trash. Lol. Great info!
Time to hit the field and practice these tips! You got it 💪
In one of Cole Redalen’s videos he said the same exact thing (the path to take on the tee pad when throwing anhyzer) that you said! Must be true! 😁

i always try to play with anhyzer lines with a stable/overstable discs. Its just so much fun and very satisfying if it goes well.
Brian is such a great teacher. Any plans to release discs to support/thank him for this? Level up discs???
He's such a good teacher! I love how this video is broken down, helps my brain process!
Was just thinking this morning, I need to properly learn anhyzers, and BAM! Thanks for the tips.

Helpful BUT missing what properties of a disc you'd need for both shots! Lets say for RHBH what properties do I need to do both throws here?
Right from the very beginning something looked very odd and I couldn't see what it was until you said you're lefty. At least now I know how I look shooting my shots🤣
i want to learn how to anhyzer on a sort of tight rope with very over stable disc to get through trees and finish further than my FH etc?

Quality lefty instructions, thanks again 👍
Watched all the videos, still suck at disc golf but I'm a lefty now...
Very informative, good stuff but I would like to see a righty as well..
So nice to have tutorial videos from a lefty. I don't have to put my brain on reverse mode😆
i recently sent my only turnover disc into the river and im a bit depressed about it
We absolutely ❤️ your level up series!! THANK YOU!
Any good disc recommendations for turnover shots?
As a lefty and backhand dominant player, I always use my backhand turnover/anyzer throw. At first it was difficult, but once I understand the disc needed and fundamentals to get this shot down, it gets easier. Great video!
I love this series. Brian is such a natural teacher.
Fantastic
Please make your regular ESP a little more grippy. The ESP Flx is perfect for grip and flexibility, would love the regular ESP still have that grip.

Omg I haven’t even tried but I struggle with some
Anny. Especially at higher speeds. I think elbow positioning is it!!
great vid, and while im sure its different for everyone, might as well try to sell a couple discs or mention what you like to anny or turnover.
Great video. Would love a video along the lines of this one/your hyzer video, but for forehands.

Thanx Brian for these videos, they're fricking great . ✌️
Have a rightie version lol
This is the best teaching series. As a lefty I may be a bit biased.
Brian, you are gold!
You've given me a lot to think about, Brian.
This is one of the best series of tutorials out there.
Brian is so good at this. Thank you Brian!
Where the heck is the microphone? Great job hiding it!
Ha! Good catch. We clipped it to the inside of his polo between the buttons. 👍🏼
Sound quality is pretty darn good for being under the hoodie and no scratching/ruffling!
@@GregVanGorp yeah I was stoked we were able to make it work so well too! Essentially using his polo as a wind screen of sorts as well. 🤙🏼
Amazing finally a lefty! great teaching thanks!
I lost a tournament by not throwing a good anhyzer….it’ll haunt me forever. Wish I woulda watch this video before that happened 🥲😂
