I know you have a shop that you do all the repairs at, but it's really commendable that you drive up there and help this supporter. to be honest I actually missed your road videos.
He originally said that I think half of next year he was planning to be on the road fixing busses....could of been half this year time flys? The people are paying for a mobile mechanic but it still is cool!
Wow! That engine runs smoothly even after sitting for a decade.....but having someone around to make sure the start doesn't go south is equally important. Great job!
Good to see you back "on the Road again" (as Willie would say) ... miss your "rescue" vids !!! And this one is worthy of rescue ... little spit and polish, revision of the the 70's interior and it'll be a fine runner IMHO.
Damn! The last thing I expected was that engine to start and run as if it had been driven the night before and parked. I think this one might just be a diamond in the rough. Cockpit looks really nice, and I bet all the mold will wash off easily. Well hell, you deserve an easy one every now and then.
I drove big rigs for 50 years and know that a driver's best friend is a good mechanic! Much respect for what you do. Love your theme song! Best regards, Jon
Nice that thing ran like it started yesterday, I bought an old Mercedes 3 litre diesel recently that sat 15 years, put on a new starter and half a turn and she was running. Can’t beat the old stuff,
I have a 1987 300SDL and I can't exaggerate how much I love the bump-the-key start of these babies. It's so unbelievably satisfying to an automotive geek like myself.
It's nice to see an on the road rescue again,,,i like watching your shop videos but there is a mystery element when you have to go on the road,,😍🇺🇸stay safe,,
Scott, you have found a world that both you and your customers are happy. First it was GMC's and now you are helping all older bus owners....and thank you for sharing with us....TN and You Tube were good moves...now good health....
i own a Wanderlodge & love it. watching you videos about them help me out with working on it. if this video was last mouth, i would have send them some used but good tires. but they sold by now.
Ran right over to the WOG and spread the word. Glad to see a road trip. Hope he gets it running and head to your shop. Love to see more of this coach. I had the bread I bring my LX up. One day.
WOW, That was a quick start up . Amazing after sitting all that amount of time . Good luck with the rest of the maintenance .As always Scott ,You're the best.......
When I was a teenager we use to camp all the time, a friend of mine’s grandfather owned one of these..was nicest rv I had been in.. they said it was previously owned by Waylon Jennings if memory serves me..
Nice to see you doing some road trip work again. Looks like the owner needs the AMMO channel guys to shoe up and do their magic to that bus and make it look better than new on the outside. I've watched a couple of their vids and was amazed at the level of professionalism they have doing jobs on various equipment. One on them was on the interior of a twin engine aircraft that sat for over a decade window missing birds and varmints living in it including defacating on the leather seats. By the time they were finished it looked and smelled factory fresh inside out. You can actually buy their products direct to save money and follow their vids to see how to use them.
That's going to be a beautiful bird with a lot of TLC. Probably will need all the rubber checked after sitting that long (hoses and bags). Glad they are changing tires out.
Wow, unbelievable how it popped right off! It sounded great and didn't even smoke! From the little bit of the interior that could be seen it looked pretty good!
Motor sounded fantastic for sitting as long as it did. Barely touched the starter and it was running. When you said the turbo was full of oil I really expected to see clouds of smoke. Will be a nice old Wanderlodge when cleaned up. Bet he got a good deal on it.
That was a very easy start up and that engine looks very good No blue smoke at all I think he has a beautiful bus well will be once it is cleaned and out of the weather Good one Scott great to see you out again I think that shop is spoiling you a bit But that is completely understandable 👍👍👍
Nice work, happy to see another Wanderlodge going to be saved! I am glad that the injector fixed the problem. If he needs the rest of them, he is more than welcome to them. That looks like it's an 84-1/2 PT 40 so it should have 9B90 injectors. Those are good old engines, and they do not have near the mileage of the bus engines you are normally trying to bring back to life!
It seemed pretty clean in the engine bay and yes that motor seems to run fantastically. A li'l elbow grease and the outside will clean up real gud. Great video Scott.
it's good to see you hitting the roads again. i am guessing that if a machine needs a thorough investigation the shop would be the ideal place to bring it to. 👈🦉👍
I drove the 6V92 for 300,000 miles pulling 80,000 pound gross loads around Washington and Oregon. Fortunately it was paired with a Fuller 13 speed Road Ranger: I needed all those gears coming up from the mills that were built on the salt water. That motor was dependable, but only lasted 400,000 miles before needing a rebuild. By year 2000, we were seeing Cummins motors last 1.5 million miles in line haul service. Much of the longevity was due to the far lower rev limit of the newer engines.
Wow. Never have I ever tried a resurrection that started so easy...mine always seem to involve seized engines or head gaskets or blown trans. Lucky RV!
Great video as usual scott and i have seen only 1 of those wonderlodges before was a cool motorhome that i would love to have they were made in georgia
The best thing I use to clean the mold off fiberglass and aluminum is dawn dish soap and a little bleach! Plus a good brush and elbow grease! Lol,,, I was given an old camper that was white and tan ,,,, but had so much mold from sitting,,,, first thing I did was cleaned it. The next day the guy that gave it to me wanted it back cause it look like new when cleaned,,,, lol
My brother in law drove old semi with a Detroit diesel. He said he literally dispersed in on a highway drive 75 miles one way to Chicago. Fuel it and load a 5 gallon can of oil and away you go.
Is there going to be a follow up video on this bus? It looks like it might be in better overall condition than expected. A good scrub, rub and polish will probably really shine this one up nice.
I found a 1970 Wanderlodge for sale, there is only a couple of pictures, but it looks to be a dual axle, it's hard to see, but that would make it a diesel pusher, they have it listed as a gasoline, said they can't find the title, it's cheap, I may go look at it, but it sounds like this one, been sitting for several years, the man that owned it passed away, and his kids are trying to sell it, or that's the story anyway.
I just love seeing them old diesels get brought back to life.
I know you have a shop that you do all the repairs at, but it's really commendable that you drive up there and help this supporter. to be honest I actually missed your road videos.

Just Saying, Detroit Diesel is one hell of a motor.
Ahhh, the ole 6V92 started like a champ )) She aint even shmokey.
So glad your back on the road, even without Lenny.
Damn! The last thing I expected was that engine to start and run as if it had been driven the night before and parked. I think this one might just be a diamond in the rough. Your My Hero!!!🤗🤗
I drove big rigs for 50 years and know that a driver's best friend is a good mechanic! Much respect for what you do. Love your theme song! Best regards, Jon
This bus rescue brings back old times! It’s still better to work in a shop though where you have an arsenal of tools ready to go.
Nice that thing ran like it started yesterday, I bought an old Mercedes 3 litre diesel recently that sat 15 years, put on a new starter and half a turn and she was running. Can’t beat the old stuff,

Love the new theme song. That's awesome!
It's nice to see an on the road rescue again,,,i like watching your shop videos but there is a mystery element when you have to go on the road,,😍🇺🇸stay safe,,
God bless America. Thanks
The only smart one who stands back on start up 😆😆
Scott, you have found a world that both you and your customers are happy. First it was GMC's and now you are helping all older bus owners....and thank you for sharing with us....TN and You Tube were good moves...now good health....

Great show glad to hear your old theme song again stay safe my friend God bless you and your family👍👍
Thank you Scott for sharing another travelling bus mechanic episode!
i own a Wanderlodge & love it. watching you videos about them help me out with working on it. if this video was last mouth, i would have send them some used but good tires. but they sold by now.

The old theme makes a return!
Very cool older bus .You guys are mechanical wizards.
Sometimes an uneventful start after a long sleep is a real good thing. Good Luck on the new purchase.
Well Done!
Thanks for throwing in the original BGM theme song. It’s cool... and appropriate for the road trip!!
You got me as a fan for life
Nice to see you doing some road trip work again.

Had to order a new t-shirt, thanks for having them supply fat guy sizes.
That's going to be a beautiful bird with a lot of TLC. Probably will need all the rubber checked after sitting that long (hoses and bags). Glad they are changing tires out.
Wow. Wanderlodge just wants to get back on the road! Tom Feller's intro tune and your bunny suit drive makes me grin every time. :-)
The Wanderlodge RVs were the RV to have in the 1990s.
Great to see you back on the road 😃😃
Yep always great to see a first start ! Just to remind anyone there's a check list to do on An old Detroit after standing ! Thanks for sharing !
Wow, unbelievable how it popped right off! It sounded great and didn't even smoke! From the little bit of the interior that could be seen it looked pretty good!
I'm watching the snow & hearing 40° early in the video. I'm sitting in northern Oklahoma 3 months later, & it's 110°!
I agree,I would to onw one, here my favorite rvs,the regular and double
Motor sounded fantastic for sitting as long as it did. Barely touched the starter and it was running. When you said the turbo was full of oil I really expected to see clouds of smoke. Will be a nice old Wanderlodge when cleaned up. Bet he got a good deal on it.
Love the song man it's great
Great Saturday morning video to wakeup to.
WOW!! 10 years --100 years she started like she never took a rest.
That was a very easy start up and that engine looks very good
No blue smoke at all

Good one Scott great to see you out again I think that shop is spoiling you a bit
But that is completely understandable 👍👍👍

I like first starts!!!! Customer thinkin of his Bus Exspert with the rain protection!!! Hey-- where's the heat and the coffee?? And muffins???????
Wow. Never have I ever tried a resurrection that started so easy...mine always seem to involve seized engines or head gaskets or blown trans. Lucky RV!

Engines do not run away! Mechanics run away, engines OVER SPEED. I love them old detroits. The old school guy.
cool clip, keep them coming
Love this video!!
Great video as usual scott and i have seen only 1 of those wonderlodges before was a cool motorhome that i would love to have they were made in georgia
That is going to be a sweet bus after a lot of sweat equity and parts.
That exhaust cleaned up quickly.
Rock on 🤘 Scott, rock on!
The best thing I use to clean the mold off fiberglass and aluminum is dawn dish soap and a little bleach! Plus a good brush and elbow grease! Been a minute since you did a on the road fix!
Some days they start soooooo easily. Sounds quite sweet.
Will it arrive in your shop any day soon?
Awsome dude
It sounded really pretty .
That song keeps getting better and better. Bus Grease Monkey!
Nice job
My brother in law drove old semi with a Detroit diesel. He said he literally dispersed in on a highway drive 75 miles one way to Chicago. Fuel it and load a 5 gallon can of oil and away you go.
A grand old coach, Bluebird Wanderlodges were among the best ever made.
Too easy. I hope y'all got a good home cooked meal, at least. For making that 200 miles trip.😁😁
heck yes WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Thanks for sharing...
Love the theme song !
I can't believe the stuff this guy does!
The weather is krazy ! The poor poor wandering lodge 🤧
Very cool!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍
6v92 was a damn good motor
Love this theme song. :)
That's on healthy 6V92T, started like it was just shut down.:)
Is there going to be a follow up video on this bus? It looks like it might be in better overall condition than expected. A good scrub, rub and polish will probably really shine this one up nice.
Love the song. HOOAH!!!
The Wild Thornberries.
Like old times!
I love Wanderlodges! Ours has the Cat engine though
Nice!
She lives again!
Awesome
We’ll that was too dam easy.
They are out there. I might sell the LX and get what I wanted in the first place. I mid 80s PT
I think you came to Indiana across from the Indy 500 and rescued a Bluebird bus . I saw you I think but didn’t get a chance to say hi .
my fav bird
Fabulosos autobus 'saludos desde colombia.
That did not start for 10 years? It started better than mine does on a colder day.
With the BGM on the job it's not a 'will it start?' it's an 'it will start!'
Thinking the same thing.
The original song makes an appearance on this one!!
My favorite theme song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a quick fix, sad to see a Bird look so unloved and in disrepair.
Any wanderlodge needs and deserves to be put back on the road I’d love to own one but the upkeep would bankrupt me. So I own a tiffin gas coach.
There’s universal keys you can buy online cheap. They work on any vehicle before 2000. I’ve got a set and they’ve never failed me. Just a tip👍
From the fleet of cuzin eddie shes a bute clark
That was an easy start up for sitting 10 years. I wonder what year that Wanderlodge was?
