It's crazy to see how the scamming in the game has progressed since early 2000s where swaping bones for big bones was a thing vs using crazy coded overlays to scam people.
i think its more a reflection of how people will always be scammed, there are plenty of people in rs3 who in over max cash trades use K instead of M to trick people in selling things for several billion gp less than what they are worth
Watched to end for view timer. Ty for exposing these scams. Gambling & staking have long been an issue within RS. I can't count how many times friends & clan mates have complained about getting scammed in the duel arena, etc.

I am still quiet new to RS and Im still learning a lot, however seeing this reminded me of something that happened to me on game several months ago. This person had added me to ask me to borrow several mil because they had lost everything they had in the duel arena and wanted to get it back. After I told them to go skill or kill like i do to get what they needed they ask if i would loan them the gold to duel with and when they won they would give me back what i gave them plus part of their winnings. I didn't help them and now Im thinking it was a scam and am glad I didnt not to mention could have broken a rule, phew.... Seeing this now just helps me to realize how simple scams can be, and its happening all the time on there. I love that you seek out these people and dig deep into what they are doing then expose their scams. I really want to say thank you for all the hard work that you put into keeping the players aware of these shady goings on in game. I love your channel

I never even thought bout them just logging out but I do know you can not ever guarantee that anyone pays you back and only being in game for almost 2yrs Im still learning a lot of things and am nowhere near being rich. I did get scammed within my first year and learned real quick not to trust people no matter how nice they seem at first. Its sad honestly that we go there to have fun and relax after a long day of real life and people are there to just scheme and take. I love the game though and will be a lifetime RS player for sure. LOL

I honestly think it's mostly for the kick some people get out of tricking others. And it's usually people who were scammed themselves, trying to redo what happened to them to others. Some people even pretend to be girls to get money from random kids, trick people into pvp-worlds, take people bossing in wildy just to backstab them etc. etc. And 99% of it just abuses peoples trust, which makes the game boring in the end for me because nobody can trust eachother. So the social aspect just weighns.

Great video, and way to expose this to the community! But I do need to point out that in duels, the max hit of the whip is 25, not 26 as you stated, lol.
AND Its not just this game... I dont play this game, but I can see similarity of their social engineering to prey & betray. I know of 2 other companies that are pure EVIL! DEVs that will hack to hunt the player base, in full loot games usually called, "SandBox." Instead of these companies turning a blind eye to, unethical happenings on their game, that is suppose to be fair and safe for all. Allowing these bad actors to continue their scams for decades, in plain sight, ruining the fun, plus reputation of the title. Either the game companies need to be shut down by the something like the BBB, until they perma-ban I.P. addresses of scammers. Or the game companies that don't do enough to combat the misconduct, makes it look like they condone the acts, or worse, syndicate it. IRL fines should be placed on gaming companies, that have scammers in it, making the company lose money, or fix the problems. If they let scammers make more money than the game makes from subscriptions, maybe the real focus of the game company IS to scam people for IRL money, and deserved to be shut down for good. If by forcing the game company to choose their cleaned up server status, over scammers running free and ruining the service & experience, gaming companies would have an obligation and duty to be able to handle any misconduct on their platform, as will be held accountable if not. A law office / legal firm / P.I. should exist to specialize and pursue, video game companies with unethical economic occurrences & scam RWT. you did the right thing. as soon as trade is over youre effed when they log out. jagex will not give your gold back, only ban the scammer
