Very useful content Lydia. I would add, straight-leg jeans (Agolde 90's pinch waist or Levis 501) paired with ballet flats, a white T-shirt, and a blazer -You can't go wrong.

Ballet flats unfortunately are not very good for your feet and knees. It is better not to wear them too often.

I absolutely detest high heels, so ballet flats have always been my go-to, but styling them can be a bit tricky, especially if you are shorter like me. Thank you for this great video. Oooooooh, the best ways I've seen to style ballet flats yet! Quite honestly I hated these shoes the first time they were trendy in the 00s and still have an aversion to them, but the black ones with the straps are quite cute. On me they just look like children's shoes/way too feminine, I've always balanced out my looks with structured/masculine shoes 😅
Last autumn I bought several pairs of second hand ballet flats. But then it got colder and I have been wearing my boots for months now. The weather is getting better and I look at the flats: why did I buy those? 🧐🧐 so good timing for this video 😃😃
Thanks for all the shopping recommendations on flats here, too. I have been wanting a replacement pair and other than Flattered, hadn't found any that looked well-made + comfortable (so many are made too small and with no real attention to foot shape).

One suggestion from an audience is that it will be great if you could show more of the outfit clips wile you are talking them through. So happy you did this video. I love ballet flats. I tend to wear them with cropped pants. I have four pair of really nice leather ones by vionic , they have arch supports and are super comfortable.

I just love these types of videos with examples and explanations of what works and what doesn't. I live in a hot climate and spring means shorts. What are your thoughts on shorts and ballet flats? I tend to wear shorts with a 10inch inseam as my legs are not my best feature. I know heels can work well with shorts, but I can't walk in 2-3 inch heels during a 10 hour day. How can we make shorts look stylish when high heels aren't an option?
