  • Take a trip with one of more ubiquitous eBike parts out there: the Julet connector! Such attention to detail on the small details can get a lot of attention if detailed attentively.
    Here's there site: en.junleidq.com/
They also go by the name Junlei, for their far east customers, in case you're curious.
If you'd like, you can go to bluemonkeybicycles.com, but it will lead you back to UA-cam. Up to you...

It's finally nice to put a factory to the name Julet, ever since my first kit I always wondered who made these waterproof connectors, it's also nice to know they are all made under one roof I always assumed the designs were just licensed out and each different ebike kit manufacturer made them as required - still though it's not a common name tag on ebike related products I either search by picture or "waterproof" if I need a controller or after market part.

That's a motor connector. I don't know of anywhere to purchase just one. If there's a bike store nearby, you can take a long shot and ask if they have a busted bike, and you can hack those connections and be on your merry way

I always wondered what this connector was. It is nice and compact. The other connectors in the waterproof controller are randomly called m5/m8 cable. Another connector that is used in between controller and accessories is called 1T4/1T5 cable. These names are not standard.

These parts are rarely sold individually to end users. These connectors are sold in mass to bike companies.
If you can't get a spare part, you may need to change the system (hopefully not entirely).

Other reasons why they are coming out with quick connection water proof cable is because they don't want you to swap the controller ( they are trying to limit your top speed ) that is for example 26 amps for another controller that might end up being probably 40 or 50 amps continuous discharge current, which pretty much allows you to reach a higher Top Speed at the expense of amp hours...The con to this will probably be that your battery will be depleted at a faster rate therefore you are going to have to charge the battery more often than normal plus another con is... 👉...less 🔌charge cycles left for the🔋 battery which refers to life for the battery it's definitely something to think about. If you do decide to go with a higher amp discharge controller make sure that the BMS inside the lithium ion rechargeable battery grants you to discharge the battery at 40,50,60,or 70 amps (normal) continuous discharge and not peek discharge / something else. The pro to this cable is quick, simple connection. The con to this cable is you won't be able to find out what color cable is positive, negative, phase wires,Hall sensor wires, etc.

Great, now when we need to troubleshoot/test the hall sensors and motor phase wires we either have to open up the controller to find where the wires terminate, or do permanent damage to the cable outer jacket to tap into the wires. This makes troubleshooting take so much longer.
