- An episode of the BBC's fly on the wall series about Heathrow Airport and its people in the late 90's.
This is a VHS recording of one the original airing series which was not repeated on 'Dave'
Jeremy is now an international airport ‘troubleshooter’. He works all over the world. Good for him
Active too on X - Twitter these days...
This was one of my all-time favorite airport tv series. Thanks for uploading!
Loved this series, couldn’t get enough of it
I used to watch this when it was on. I grew up in the flight path of Heathrow Airport so I always had an interest in planes.
Same with me. I practically grew up with planes from Heathrow and now it's my top interest.
SImilar to me, not LHR but I grew up and still live in the house I grew up in which is on the flight path for Newcastle (NCL). So I grew up to have an interest in commercial aviation ^^
Would love to see more of this first series in complete episodes. Thank u for posting this episode. Jeremy became famous through This series I remember
Gosh, I'd forgotten about Jeremy! What a legend lol
Been looking for these mid-90s episodes for some time, thanks and upload more if you got em.
Have you seen the ones with Garth Powell and Cath Hall?
@@skywind007 Yep, that is the season that introduced me to the series. So far, nothing on UA-cam.
Jeremy is hilarious ...I hope there are more of this series
Siobhan from Aer Lingus was great, shame none of her episodes were repeated on Dave!
I feel old now lol
Ah the good old days when you could pretty much check as many bags and weight didn't matter! Tickets could be sold in the newspaper and anyone could use them so you could find super cheap tickets from people who changed their minds. No identification needed, super good food, kids under 10 fly free and kids all got metal wings pins and could go see the cockpit. I had the best crepes ever on a flight!
That air lingus lass has a wicked sense of humour
PIA flight's bags block the luggage belts....in the 1990s.......20 years later watching the ITV Heathrow Airport series and.......PIA flights bags STILL block the belts! Have Heathrow not upgraded to a better baggage system?.......
They have but PIA passengers also upgraded their bags . Lol
This is great, please upload more if you have them. Cheers
This is the second series. First series was in 1996.
I remember the theme music being a lot more emphatic & bombastic than this? Then a few years later it became even more chilled out and elevator-y
Damn, can't a guy get some rest on an Air New Zealand crew compartment anymore without the police busting in?!
oh ok thanks for getting back to me
Can’t believe she just hands the gun over goin just hold that for me like cant imagine that happening now.
That's not series one but three
Sorry but this is NOT the first series. The first series was actually shown in 1996 and the first episode was about the Queen travelling to New Zealand on Air New Zealand.
this was a good series
Haha who would have knew back then that twice the number of planes would take off there in 20 years time.
Perhaps it would be prudent to make sure the radio is working before you leave for the runway.
They said later, successful startup test in one area, doesn’t mean guaranteed reception in another. Those vehicles and radios looked ramshackle for even the late 90s. No wonder they didn’t always work, like so much else of BAA.
That British Airways world tail livery didn't last too long.
Man I remember this guy lol
hi I just wanted to ask you I was in one of the airport series and was filmed in may 1998 arguing with Jerry about not filming me whilst trying to help a relative put her language through the terminal othere people have seen this footage but as of yet I have not is there any way you might have that episode
+sun flower This is the only one I actually recorded, done for the 'benefit' of my ATC colleagues!
"thought she wants to get on television" no... the baggage belt was broken...
I used to love this series especially with John nettles narration I didn’t like the person who replaced him when he stopped doing it .
2:38 the real life dude from toy story who collects toys and sells them hjahahahha
I get dizzy watching that woman with the baby in the beginning.
