  • Talking about Coil machines. Why I like them , what I think about them and what I suggest to get if you looking for a specific machine what will do something you want to .
    I don't have any infos about coil machines and I can't suggest you guys individually what would be best for you. There's more then 1000 coil machine makers and 1000000 tattoo machines out there.
    you need to think what exactly you want from the machine and you can always email tattoo builders to custom make machine for your specifications.

    Its refreshing to hear a tattoo artist promoting the most tried & true tattooing implements, coil machines. I'm also "loyal to the coil" & agree with most of the content. Especially how much faster and stronger they usually run. Great vid!

    I agree with you. I feel like Injecta has one of the best liners and color packers. Bishop too. My Coco Fernandez liner is a beast!

    Hey anrijs i hope you doing good.
    I have a tattooMe as coil and it's my best coil until now !
    Thank you for theses words, I'm a coil lover but I wait your review of dan kubin machine,
    I see a lot of tattooers loving so much theses machine but i will know the healing process and how it hit the skin, cause dan kubin uses springs as coil, that make me curious.
    Hope to see this and see you soon.

    Whatsa good website to buy a good/descent coil machine?

  • @rebelangel8227
    @rebelangel8227 2 роки тому

    You can always add an rca connecter to your coil machine...if your going to be mostly using coil machines its good to learn to tear them down rebuild and retune them...

    • @AnrijsStraumeTattoo
      @AnrijsStraumeTattoo  2 роки тому

      yes you can. mostly they do come without it, and pre tuned by the builder. Any extra adjustments/ changing machine to RCA or messing around could affect how the machine works. of course it's ideal to learn to rebuild them and retune them yourself!

    I use coils and i never really use coils but Neuma makes a machine that lines like a coil...its a pen that uses xarts and has a kool system its really easy to change the cam to get a super smooth

    • @clintonjerkovich7633
      @clintonjerkovich7633 Рік тому

      I actually own a few Neumas, all the tubes, compessor, etc. so I'm guessing you know they're air powered (Neuma ie Pneumatic) right? Anyhow yeah they are great machines and are easy to dial in the throw. If it wasn't for having to bleed the lines and regulator constantly after use they would be my daily drivers.

    sam clarks and mike chambers are both using the xion for fast traditional lining, isnt the xion changing te game? with 3,7mm stroke

    • @AnrijsStraumeTattoo
      @AnrijsStraumeTattoo  6 років тому

      could be. I'm not traditional artist, but machine is really powerful and I would believe you can easy line with it full back-pieces too.
      I filmed this video few months ago, before even xion was out.
      There will be people who will line with any machine. I know guys use Cheyenne spirit machine for line work. you can line with anything really.

    What you think about vlad blad coil machines

    • @AnrijsStraumeTattoo
      @AnrijsStraumeTattoo  2 роки тому +1

      I love how they look, I think they're great quality! I've tried few liners from them, but personally for me it was too heavy hitting.
      most of my work is softer / black and grey so heavy hitting liners are not the best. I'm sure their soft shader is great, but I haven't tried it yet.

    hi friend .. i am an italian colleague very addicted to blackwork and now for a couple of years of blackout .. saturated with avenger 2.0 pro and avenger 1 but i have a morbid madness for vlad blad .., ultron pen, ultron, throne , and the coils of course ... I have been following you for quite a while ... you are prepared and this is always nice not to listen to false advice ... but you are the right one ... I have a problem! ... I am looking for a coil that don't ruin me financially and push me from 49magnum up .... what do you advise me?.? .. a hug from sicily

      @AnrijsStraumeTattoo  2 роки тому +1

      Hey. Unfortunately I don't know what to suggest. I don't do this type of work and don't have much experience with larger magnum coil machines. I'm sure there should be some forums discussing this information. if you manage to find somehting good , please let me know!

      Go to Chris Gove he has a tattoo machine called a hybrid it's a liner/color packer for larger groupings u can get it for around 300 bucks and 200 when they are on sale but they can push a 49 mag easy remember dan kubins machines will do it but those are rotary I use a machine that was made for big grouping color packing by Destroy Troy that is made for crazy big groupings

    Don't want to be a hater or anything but these tattoo me coil machines are one of the worst in mainstream market. If you want good reliable coil liner try vlad blad, work horse irons, lithuanian irons, seth ciferri. Also there is amazing strong rotory power liners by dan kubin called sidewinders. Can be used for all groupings aswell and easy to adjust the speed :)

    • @AnrijsStraumeTattoo
      @AnrijsStraumeTattoo  6 років тому +4

      I never said in this video go and get tattoome machines, this is what I have and this is what I'm showcasing.
      and These Machines works fine for me. I know many great artists who are using TattooMe machines.
      I don't want coil machines as I say in video I don't use them. I'm not looking to get more coils, but for everyone who is looking to get specific machine I suggest to get coil . what brand and model It's up to them.
      You are more then welcome to film video about what's best or worst coil machines in your opinion.
      I have sidewinder and I will be making video about it soon too, this video is about coil not kubins :)

    • @TheJasonmoretti
      @TheJasonmoretti 5 років тому

      john clark magnetic rotaries are as good as dan kubin in my opinion for lining..much more adjustable as well. as far as coil machines...any good machine company is pretty much as good as the next if you know how to adjust them..I cut my own springs to customize the right feel for me...and in doing this i dont notice any difference between high end machines and any mass produced machines. Of course a shit machine is just shit but its just too easy to make a good solid coil machine nowadays..

      Ya they blown away rotary he is 100 percent right it’s only all the new tattoo artist under 10 years that use them you don’t get that same punch as with a coil machine also if you are a tattoo artist you should know a machine like the back of your hand if you can’t tune a coil machine then you should not be tattooing !!!!
