Great video. So helpful. Ive used this app in past but got frustrated because I couldn’t figure out certain movements. The difference you show between one finger or 2 finger positioning is so helpful. Thank you!!!
The "zoom" feature is actually the perspective feature, it changes how dramatic or flat the perspective of the image is, further helping people who like exaggerating in their art style :D
Nice find, I was initially worried as these apps haven't been updated in almost a year. The dev's are focusing on PC/Mac version where you can duel pose, male/male, female/female or male/female...but stated they will update iOS/Android apps once PC/Mac version is completed. So I might grab these as I do most if not all drawing on my iPad Pro, I only use desktop for 2D animation & for 3D anymore. Thanks for the video, demo & love the intro/outro music
Thank you for the videos you create. I find them very informative. "How to create an under drawing" has by far been my most helpful video i have watched. " I think the mode you show at 8:03 is cell shading., but i may be wrong.
I have this app and also 3Dtotal figures. The experience is definitely different. To learn the intricacies of anatomy, I found the physical figure more convenient. The fact that you can touch it and observe it as a real object makes it more mentally memorable. Easier to learn muscles and so on. That being said, the app is great for poses.
Anyone else pause to see which exact apps were in the RPG and MTG group? Also, great video. I had another app which was pretty garbage so this is promising.
Thanks for the video man it's fantastic. I have the android version and I think it only have one light source. Will be grabbing the new Ipad Pro and pencil so am looking forward to using this :)
This is an interesting tool, I’m going to try it out however when it comes to the anatomical accuracy the rib cage under the sternum looks off somehow.
i bought this program on AppStore and is giving me a lot of issues starting with the fact that it doesn't allow me to click the photo screenshot bottom is that normal?
This is streets better than the app I've been using - thanks for the tip! I hate to mention it, but are you aware that you end nearly every sentence with "'Kay"?
Well it doesn't support double screen on the ipad which is kinda sucks if you want to study directly on your ipad with procreate and the app open next to it
Thanks Austin - just subscribed - one question for you. Is there a way of adding weight to the character - as in a fat person? Thanks for the good review - I'll be downloading this app...
I just bought artpose pro and can't figure out how to start a new project on it.. I'm stuck with the first pose I saved.. how do you clear out or start a new file?
i believe there is a eraser icon on top right corner and it sets back the figure to default pose, the arrows are for undo/redo.. and just overwrite your saved pose or file
I can't get the thing to rotate properly. Shame it doesn't have rotation sliders like secondlife does. All I get for like shoulder is front and back, nothing to the side...
@@IvanMuso Hello, yes I do recommend it as it's only $10 and the only other options right now would be to use a blender / lightwave program with models that you'd either have to buy or build yourself. This is a very non ram intensive program as it can also be used on a small tablet so it has that over the other option. The rotations aren't exactly natural if you're used to 3d modeling in anything (blender, lightwave, secondlife, etc) as they are click and drag, not click on a rotation line and drag. Once you get the hang of it it's not too bad and since the price (and Ram usage) is so low, it's worth it.
I am currently pouring over your videos eager to learn anything and everything I can. Do you have a patreon or a donate page so that I can Contribute to you and all all the info you provide?
HelloTardis not yet but that is something I'm working on. You could buy one of my courses if you're interested in supporting me. They go into much more depth than most of my UA-cam videos. www.udemy.com/user/austin-batchelor/
karla michelle: It usually happens to me when using the app in split screen mode; I press repeatedly until a green ✅ pops up then repeatedly tap again until it takes a picture
Nice, but it doesn’t support PNG export. That’s why I like MagicPoser a bit more. That, and the fact I can have a team of 4 posing in the same file sealed the deal for me. Art Pose does have some great features like the multicolor light sources, but it would be perfect with just a few more features that lesser apps handle effortlessly.
Ivan Tello Get the crummy wooden mannikin first. It will give you experience with drawing real things in real lighting situations. A short mannikin is less than $10, I think. If you are feeling wealthy, get ArtPose as well, but that can wait. Anyway, it is a good app and for $6 how can you go wrong?
Great video. So helpful. Ive used this app in past but got frustrated because I couldn’t figure out certain movements. The difference you show between one finger or 2 finger positioning is so helpful. Thank you!!!
6:30 That button didnt reset the lighting ;-) We both know that
Cool I think I bought the bundle, also worth looking at is easy poser, handy, and magic poser but I think this one is just a cut above the rest.
This is a gamechanger!
Perfect ref app for comic book ! The cool stuff is to be able to export the obj of this into nomad sculpt ! 👌🏽
The "zoom" feature is actually the perspective feature, it changes how dramatic or flat the perspective of the image is, further helping people who like exaggerating in their art style :D
Thanks for the information 👍🏽
I bought it. this is what ive been looking for, when you move the figure the muscle moves as well. holy hell. Thank you
I had the these for a couple years now and didn’t really know how to operate them so thank you for the demonstration

Rusty Ray that's some good news!
Just letting you know that this program is also on the Android platform. I really appreciated how you explain this though. Thank you.
Thank you for the videos you create. I find them very informative. "How to create an under drawing" has by far been my most helpful video i have watched. " I think the mode you show at 8:03 is cell shading., but i may be wrong.
This could be game changing for me! Ill have to check this out ASAP!
Saved me 80 bucks and time. I was going to order figures online.

GReat great point, it might be best to get both
I got the figures, they're really flimsy. Very soft plastic material is used.
Aquí esta la ultima versión

This it literally the best thing I have seen in 2018! Thank you!
Learn something useful each time I watch this video! Thanks for reposting it!
Thank you, thank you, thank you - it is literally the posing app I have been looking for!!
Cool :)
I found getting the hand/ fingers correct with the pose very difficult if the pose was supposed to be holding something :)
Anyone else pause to see which exact apps were in the RPG and MTG group?
Also, great video. I had another app which was pretty garbage so this is promising.
its published on steam too
The muscle changing is the best

Very good app, thanks for showing it to us.
I’m definitely getting this!! Thanks for telling us about it
Thank you, I've been looking for something like this!
Great video! I had never heard of this app. Just downloaded it.
This is an interesting tool, I’m going to try it out however when it comes to the anatomical accuracy the rib cage under the sternum looks off somehow.
Thank you for introducing this! This is the solution I was looking for!
This is absolutely a amazing. I’m going to buy the $9.99 bundle that includes the pro app 🙏🏽💯👌🏽
Nyah Ewan what’s the difference between the bundle and the pro app?
I got this on my mac cos I draw with photoshop and can't export the shot I had to screen shoot it on low res sucks.
Fantastic video. Thanks so much.
Thank you, this will be super useful! Also, each model is only three dollars on the app store. :)
I’ve been using this app for years but this video was so helpful! Thank you!!!
do you have the bundle, pro, female or the normal one? I’m thinking of buying but I’m not sure which one to get
Wish I could move the models around on the screen and change their sizes
How do you save the camera position? When you tap any of them they reset to position
GREAT APP. LOVE IT.
Which do you think is better between this software and pose tool 3D?
Very useful app, thanks for recommending and for the demo!
where can I buy it
Only concern is the muscle interactions. Can't be greedy though, looks like a very good app.
Can I download them as images after I have designed the movements?
thanks that's gonna be so helpful
Amazing !

I'll definitely use these, thanks :)
How do you rotate the forearm? I can't figure it out, it is not any of the three mouse buttons, they only allow you to bend but not twist.
Clothes would be nice.
This is incredible!

I have one word. WOW. Also, is there an app or book for drawing all sorts of facial expressions??
I love you Austin!
You can pose the hands?
Do you know of any app like this but for facial reference?
Thank you for making this tutorial, it have helped me a lot
Awesome!
nice , is this free or lisense purchase? thank you
Hi Austin, how to delete the existing pose and start fresh.
Thanks, this'll really help me with my figure drawings!
Whhhhaaaaaat?? I had no idea this existed. Thanks!!
I took one of the Preset poses and modified it, didn't save it, but the original pose is no longer in the database. Is there any way I can recover it?
Omg!!!..that's what I was looking for
Can anybody tell me whether this app is fidel in movements of the muscles, or they contour in unnatural ways when you move them from the default pose
mostly it's accurate, you have some issues on the shoulders in intense poses or with the neck, but mostly it's really good
hi. Can we export those poses to blener maya etc in bvh or fbx files? Thanks.
Is this cost per month, year or forever? If i have questions is it alright to brother you? Thankyou so much for sharing. Very informative.
Pay once, keep it forever. I bought this app back in like 2016 and haven’t paid a penny since.
Can you make a character fat?
Did you really use the Semenax intro song
Thanks!
Dude... thank you!!
I dont have and Ipad or a mac but i do have an Iphone, this app runs on a iphone?
THANKS FOR SAVING MY LIFE OMGIMGJUH

So, how to 'save', 'cut and paste'?
Can we move the fingers ?
Can you change the body ratio of the figure??
For example, stretching the arm or leg to make it longer or stretch the head so the figure has a long neck or something like that?
Can you export obj file?
Sir, thank you. Subbed.
is there a way a I can use this in a laptop?
With Bluestacks but in first you need to enable the virtualization in the bios.
does this app work on a mac?
How many poses can you save?

Does anyone know how to move the figure around in the space?
Will I pay for the application once or every month?
You get to keep it forever.
Oh God!!! Thank you!!!
Is there a way to zoom in on a pose you've created?
The slider on the right is a zoom slider
is there a way i can take a screenshot in this app i havent yet figured that out
@karla michelle did you try the usual screenshot buttons for the ipad or iphone? I usually press power button + home button on my ipad pro.
There’s a camera icon at the right top corner, it will take a screenshot and save the model with and without transparent background.
@@jinwoo5182 well I have it for mac, not an iPad or iPhone
@@EyeTea i did but it doesn't work

You are making me sad that I am poor, because I really want an iPad Pro now.
No objects? Why didn't they let us save a whole scene?
comic bookie
No female model?
Wishing it was free ;-;
How about not going to starbuck$ for 2 days... there you go... money to buy an app! Take lunch instead of buying out... Boom... 2 apps!
That man had a groin accident
K?
A
Bro I got this 1$ posing doll from the dollar store and it’s kinda b a d (should’ve expected that, it’s 1$)
I just paid $6 for a copy. Very decent price.
I was wondering if I should get it...would you still recommend the app now, how’s it been for you??
Ivan Tello Get the crummy wooden mannikin first. It will give you experience with drawing real things in real lighting situations. A short mannikin is less than $10, I think. Magic poser is better
no like sound intro
