Welp, this machine is back. It ran great for a while, but as of late, it has decided not to run. It acts like it has no spark. HOWEVER... the real reason is quite a mystery! AND THEN... Hello Aron again: here comes my final vote… I was excited and wasn’t disappointed! I am very impressed about the starter repair and actually I had my legs crossed when you asked for it. I like the dogs so much! Hercules reminds so much of my Labrador Yogi who passed away in 2021 at the age of 13. Your dogs are simply beautiful! It sounds like Yogi was a good pup. I'm sorry for your loss. 13 is a good long life, though! My Dad always said "The problem with pets, is they just don't live long enough." I grew up with many dogs 🙂 Always Golden Retrievers.

Hahaha you took that to a whole new level! 😂
But future advice, not saying you're wrong for using it, but Ether and small engines is usually not the best mix. Since it's so explosive, better used on much larger engines, and iDi Diesels.
Like them old Ferds..

This is odd. The valves usually get looser as things wear.
I completely missed the mark on that one... As things wear, the valve lash would definitely get looser. Now I'm thoroughly confused, unless the valves are pounding into the seats and recessing the seats?
Check valve timing and inspect the head gasket if it ran lean there's also a possibility it's got A blown head gasket
After the valve adjustment it's been running like a top. We will see if the issue comes back. Thanks for the comment and advice! 🍻
Maybe the starter is turning too fast or wasn't wound tight enough?

That's also a good possibility. The replacement is only 25 dollars, so I wouldn't be surprised if quality control isn't tip-top 😁
@@TractorFella The children winding the armatures might not have enough hand strength to pull them tight but that is the first time I've seen that happen. I've seen starter drives lock up so the starter keeps turning with the engine running so it go way beyond it's designed speed and not come apart like that and this one did it in two different windings.
Bahaha that's probably it! 😆 I guess there's a first time for everything! Unique failure for sure.
No doubt the new safety clogs did the trick 🐿️🫡

It’s a Honda Dax clone motor and they’re usually pretty strong and durable, it’s the first time I’ve seen valves getting tighter, very odd…
So in conclusion; Valves does matter 🤭

Yep, mystery to me. Unless something caused the valves to pound into the head?? Weid stuff. It'll be interesting to see if it happens again.
