I would keep it whole and repower it someday when you get a decent engine with a bad deck. If they are taken care of they last a lifetime. The squeak is the shaft for the ratchet recoil. You can take it apart and clean/oil the shaft and ball bearings the squeak will go away. That is of course if that squeak is not the fly wheel against the coil.
Hello Aaron, nice refurbishment, unfortunately with a non running engine at the end. You could perform your welding, painting, grinding, hammering skills and: show your fine footwear 👍😘🌞🍀 When I tried to repair my father in law‘s push mower who hit a piece of metal in the high grass and thereby damaged more than I did expect. I bought tools etc but finally had to give up. Anyways, made fun to make my hands dirty. The mower here could perhaps perform in line dance 💃 group, perfect side moves 😂😂😂 I wish you a nice Sunday afternoon and I am excited about your next video 💪💃💃🎹🐇🍀🥁🌞😘
Hi Maik! Thank you for the nice comments. At least I learned some things along the way 😁 It sounds like tou did a good job trying to fix up that mower. It turns out, sometimes they just can't be fixed! Better luck next time, right? I'll have to start a mower dancing company 🤣 Have a great week. Thanks for the comment, as always. Take care! 🍻 👍🏻
I remember when the push mower was 89 bucks and would last 20 years 😊, still got a stack of them that only need carb kits and cleaning Could make a lot of money and spend nothing doing it ❤
I was thinking to myself "I should have done a little more engine inspection before all of this other work..." 😁 I'll have to look into a new engine. Who knows, maybe I'll see if I can even replace the case bearings?? Thanks for the comment! 🍻
@@TractorFella ahh maybe if they are bronze bushings, not sure with modern briggs. I stick with villiers they are my fav engine tbh. Also spanner woop😎
Omg!! 10 left.. you must be biting your nails to the wrist in impatience!!! 10 left and finally it'll pay off.. I see you have the same issue with lawnmowers I do... They're just sitting there saying "Hi!!" And... Ya same problem They come home 😂 Sitting with a Poulan with a missing pull handle.. same reason lol
Bahaha yes sir!! My heart skips a beat when I see machines along the road. I need to be careful or I'll cause an accident one of these days 😆 When I started YT I never expected any growth. It was just fun for me. Fingers crossed!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 Good luck with the Poulan! I'm sure you'll have it tip-top in no time!
Next on the Tractor fella show; the wonky mower named Sqeeky 😱
Engage safety squints, popcorn and a bucket of energy drink ✌️
Hahaha, accessories engaged!! 🤣
Enjoyed the video.
Thank you!

I appreciate the input! I'll have to service the roller. It was super sticky, so that makes sense. Thanks! 🍻
I like the Dog helpers.
They put in good hours 🤣 🐕

Do some tests like seeing how different fuels do or injecting propane to see if it adds power. or just blow it up lol. idk, just some ideas.
They're fun ideas! Thanks! 🍻
bore out the crankcase to crankshaft case bearing surfaces and press fit new rebuild bearings. or make them from pipe.

Sounds like a good plan to me! 🍻
Can you fit another engine since you did all the work on the handle?

Strip for parts
Thanks for the input! 🍻

Hahah yeah buddy! 🤣
Put diesel or kerosene in crank case and let it clean for a day or two
Probably would have been a better idea than gasoline! I appreciate it. 👍🏻👍🏻
