  • Terminator 2 Sarah Connor Monologue
    ----------------------------------------------------------------
    Sarah Connor: Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The terminator, would never stop. It would never leave him, and it would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get drunk and hit him, or say it was too busy to spend time with him. It would always be there. And it would die, to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice.

    Arnold is actually a better actor than most people give him credit for.
    The way he asks "why do you cry" is just so endearingly sincere that its reminiscent of an innocent child, which is what The Terminator is at this point in time.

      RoninAquila seriously, though, do you know how difficult a role as T-800 would be? It's almost unimaginable!

      @daffers2345 7 років тому +11

      Another good example is him picking up the toddler and looking at him with curiosity, like a kid would with a new toy. The T-800's character arc and learning help to make T2 one of my favorite movies :)

      daffers234 The single *hardest* emotion for an adult actor to convey is actual innocence; and in that regard both Tom Hanks and Arnold Schwarzenegger (in this film and in "Twins") are *marvelous.*

      Yeah. The way he moves especially like a machine. He developped a method of looking - turnin with his eyes first and then turning his head, try to notice it.
      In T1 you can see in Technoir shootout how he assumes different stances in a robotic manner, as if they were programmed, but not in a stiff, mannequin like manner, rather in a robotic but human-like way.
      He's a great actor fr

    When the T asked "Why do you cry?" and said "Yeah" afterwards, Arnold made him sound very human.

      John and Sarah unlocked the learning feature of the T800 CPU. So he would become more and more human as the time goes.

    One of the best explanations of how the terminator was a learning machine to the point of eventually learning emotions and understanding, but later explaining that it couldn't express them the same way. Best laid out movie for the T-800 series machines.

    This is beautiful scene, James is also an amazing writer, the style how he using "dry" humor is great. Its not too corny, like those films after this sometimes, when they try to be funny. I hope someday Cameron make something like this again. Avatar is fine but i dont really need more them.

    • @bradenbennett7476
      @bradenbennett7476 7 років тому +1

      ***** yeah true, the whole 80s spilled through to till about 1992. Anything after 1989 was a watered down version of 1988 and 1989. When nirvana showed up everything changed almost overnight.

    I'd love to have 20 Terminators as my body guards from cops, criminals, and the government. 5 T-800s, 5 T-850s, 5 T-1000s, and 5 TXs 1 of each traveling with me every time.

      Borel 2016 id have my terminators check their occupation so i know if they are cia, police, fbi, nsa, or anything else that is hunting me.
      i'm starting to think a blackwater military of 130million TXs that can self destruct after they are captured by the military or destroyed would be the best choice so i have a legion of terminators that can't be captured

    • @Borel-nv5bq
      @Borel-nv5bq 7 років тому

      Doesn't matter who they are, NAP™ was violated and they ran out of subscriptions for Police Protection™ therefore them and their entire family must die. NAP is the law of the land

    Imagine your CPU is telling you there is a severe malfunction and you cannot troubleshoot what it is. You can't run diagnostics and get any feedback but your CPU is telling you that there is a severe problem with your hardware and your system is severely damaged but no logical explanation is apparent. And the reason is because your system needs to reboot and debug. That in order to return to normal functionality you need to subject yourself to an ultimate state of vulnerability. That's probably the closest I could get.
