Grineer: heavy metal, rock, and jazz. Corpus: dance, industrial, classical Infested: grunge, ambient, gothic Void: choral, gospel, opera Sentient: baroque, new age, lullaby
I would absolutely love music for the bosses. Though, we probably wouldn't hear them for very long on most of them with our OP gear. I'd love to hear some huge epic choir music or something while fighting Eidolons though. Could you imagine hearing something like this: ua-cam.com/video/jAuIY58nv_k/v-deo.html While nearing the end of a fight with one of the Eidolons? That would be amazing.
XXXCLOUTATION unless it's your first time, it took me 20 minutes of pure concentration for my first time on sargus ruk , still lost, then I got back in and whooped him.
Difference is that warframe is basically a farming simulator so if you are farming a boss and doing 10+ runs one after another that music will get annoying
I choose some pretty hardcore song to get my point across. You're probably right. They would be better suited for a game like DS where you kill a boss once and move on. Most games have at least something though. Warframe just keeps playing the level's ambient music during the fight.

It plays the ambient music during the fight cause boss fights are so casual to the Tenno at this point lol
Important to remember the audio theme for the tenno is those big heavy drums. so if we did get anything, it should be this big booming drum heavy music.
i both agree/disagree ; becuz warframe's audio is already pretty busy and many bosses have audio ques to signal something happening, so the 'boss music' would be perfect for the intro cinematic, but then it would need to dial/tone it down quite a bit once the fighting started, but it could still be in the background, i wouldnt mind that
*epic boss introduction* *heavy metal starts playing* *bossfight starts* *boss gets Opticore'd and dies in 1 shot* "assassination contract complete, head to extraction"
There's a video uploaded on youtube which is the Old Corpus Music (I mean the stuff that was in like beta and all that, before they introduced March of the Moas, Corpus Greed etc.). Someone mentioned that the old Corpus music would be excellent for a few boss fights, and I agree. It's basically just hard bass synth, just rocking out and it makes much more impact compared to the current music. Like at least give us an option to switch back to the classic Corpus music in the options, just like in Titanfall 2 where you can switch back to the old Frontier music if you want.
would make a huge difference actually. Like brute guitar solos and drums for grineer, synthesizers and electronic melodies for corpus, slow deep melodies for infested, orchestrals for corrupted, choirs for sentinel and likin park when the stalker appears.
u can press shift tab if ur playing warframer on steam and yt some songs that u like and think will go well for that boss fight or even for the whole mision
Would love that. Theme for at least Eidolons Battles, Keyla and Lephantis, since they are the longest in the game (especially sortie variants?)...Index and Rathuum could use their own themes too :0
what I want more than boss music, is to have their health bars constantly displayed at the bottom or top of the screen like an actual boss. For whatever reason, I would love this, even though I know no one else cares. Or, perhaps, let us give enemies in the simulacrum these kinds of health bars, like, we could display up to 4 at a time or something
It would be a great idea for every faction they would get their own genre of music, Grineer with rock / heavy metal, Corpus have electro / synth etc, Infested with orchestral and such.
Lephantis-It Has To Be This Way Tyl Regor-Stains of Time Stalker-The Only Thing I Know For Real Corrupted Vor-Rules of Nature Vay Hek-Red Sun Jordas Golem-Collective Consciousness Hyena Pack-I'm My Own Master Now Kela de Thaym-A Stranger I Remain
Farming in Destiny - Wrath of the Machine and hours and hours of wipes, the music didn't get old and changed at different fight stages. Could also be toggled off. WF has great tunes - more would be amazing.
>Boss activates >Boss music starts cool >MR28 Player buttblasts boss in one shot with his ultra mega giga meta build >Cool music ends instantly after 2 seconds >T_T
I feel like if bosses were to have music, they'd have to have some way of surviving long enough for it to kick in, fights like Vay Hek and maybe ambulas or Jordas golem sure it could work, but bosses like Phorid, sergeant and captain vor would probably be wasted or need a hell of a tweak to be viable
"Enter Zanuka" Boss music intensifies. "Zanuka dies 1shoot'ed" boss music fades away soo.. the problem is finding artists who can make interesting 5 seconds songs
This needs to be a fully fledged thing Imagine what they could do if they made a collab with an artist like they did for the original soundtrack In the meantime, I always play Warframe with metal in the background (makes it even cooler)
The only two bosses that have music (kinda) with them are Stalker (though oddly enough i haven't heard it from him since Update 18) and Tyl Regor (a Grineer battle track starts playing whenever his bossfight starts). *Spoilers:* Technically Hunhow's bossfight also counts, since you are basically fighting him by replacing his "Sentient dissonance" with our "Tenno harmony".
my picks: grineer: thrash/heavy metal infested: death metal corpus: synthwave or industrial metal corrupted/orokin: something classical sentient: dunno
For some reason, every single time I fight the Raptors, or most Corpus droid bosses for that matter, I always have this playing in my head: re-logic.bandcamp.com/track/moon-lord
Carpenter Burt, and DANGER should write music for the boss fights if DE doesn't plan on making the music themselves. Iv gotten so used to putting on Turbo Killer for Kela De Thaym in the arena, or 6:24 for Tyl Regor that they just become so much less interesting when I don't have the music playing behind them. DE can make some awesome music for sure but nothing that really fuels the heat of the moment in a boss fight.
Well as long as i wouldn't mind boss music in Warframe i would like it to stay in the same style as rest of games Soundtrack, so ok both Grineer and Corpus maps have different music styles so this could be fleshed out too with bosses
What would be the Boss music for The Sergeant? You know, the guy you mass murder to obtains parts for just to send more Mags to Shy. He dies so quickly compared to all the other bosses. Not to mention he doesn't even have a proper cutscene to introduce him
I imagine infested bosses being Dark Soulsy choir pieces with absolutely brutal shredding in the background, where as Corpus music has a Terraria boss fight feel, and I am actually at a loss for Grineer. HAVING THE STALKER/G3/ZANUKA GET THEIR OWN MUSIC WHEN THEY ARE SPAWNING WOULD BE FUCKING LIT. Would Sentient get their own piece when they drop in to fuck shit up? Oh, the possibilities.... Just make everything musical...
Music would be interesting, but I kind of feel it is what sets Warframe apart. Instead of the music being a focus point of the encounter, the music is reserved for either ambience music in the background...or kept for the amazing moments. For me, "This Is What You Are" was placed in the best moment and was so incredibly memorable. In my opinion, keeping the music OUT of boss fights helps to highlight the more memorable things. The story, the lore and the feeling of being in something special...rather than just another action/shooter/adventure sort of game. I feel their choice is best, though I can see your viewpoint...I just feel like I wouldn't want Warframe any other way. Besides...if I'm doing a tough fight solo in a Sortie, I can put on whatever music I want if I need something to get pumped to. Customisable!~
Grineer: heavy metal, rock, and jazz.
Corpus: dance, industrial, classical
Infested: grunge, ambient, gothic
Void: choral, gospel, opera
Sentient: baroque, new age, lullaby
Sc4r4byte This actually sounds like an interesting idea
I like this idea, they'll compliment each faction nicely.
Yes.
This.
This is what we want.
Hey DE.
This is what we want.
Also add Electro and Synth to Corpus cus that's what most of Corpus music sounds like
I am thinking corpus should have techno and dubstep.
why isn't tyl's boss music smooth jazz
*I'm very excited now...*
Red Gatack ya like jazz?
Jazz music intensifies.
I still think that dude sounds identical to principle Lewis from American Dad.
END OF DAYS, BITCHES!!!! *twin M249's firing off in the sky*
sexy sax man from eurovision, perf
His boss theme would just be Careless Whisper
I would absolutely love music for the bosses. Though, we probably wouldn't hear them for very long on most of them with our OP gear.
I'd love to hear some huge epic choir music or something while fighting Eidolons though.
Could you imagine hearing something like this: ua-cam.com/video/jAuIY58nv_k/v-deo.html
While nearing the end of a fight with one of the Eidolons? That would be amazing.
Squalington Constantine Dark souls have the best soundtracks on boss fights
lady mayneth ah its kinda lame the firsts guys better no offense
agreed, i mean imagine if we had this with "the sergeant", we'd go as far as 1 beat, then *bang* songs over, lol.
well Keyla De Thaym is pretty long when it's the third sortie and you're limited to bows x)
Anything like Dark Souls or Shadow of the Colossus for Eidolon battles would be pretty amazing.
Problem is that boss fights don't last long enough so we wouldn't take in.
XXXCLOUTATION unless it's your first time, it took me 20 minutes of pure concentration for my first time on sargus ruk , still lost, then I got back in and whooped him.
Depends on the bossfight
Just noticed how much the Kela de Thaym fight looks like a boss in other games. Usually, bosses in Warframe feel like a unique enemy...
I loki, find her fight challenging and better than most of warframe's bosses
Yep, She, Hunhow and the Eidolons are the only boss like enemies in this game. All other are kinda lame in my opinion
BlueFan99 tyl regor's pretty fun in sortie conditions though
Lephantis also
BlueFan99 Tyl regor is really challenging in lower levels too
I'd probably just mute it, gets in the way of haring the pure sounds of my Grakata dakka.
CLEM!
Another clone...
Hello Clem 2646, shouldn’t you be with all the other clones?
But y use one grakata when the only thing better is two grakata
DE Pls get on this.
If update 23 dosent have boss music, we riot!!!
deus vult!
3rr0r b01 ah I see u r crusader of culture aswell.
yes comrade
Difference is that warframe is basically a farming simulator so if you are farming a boss and doing 10+ runs one after another that music will get annoying
The new player experience is being improved by A LOT tho.
i was thinking the same thing thanks for typing it for me
I choose some pretty hardcore song to get my point across. You're probably right. They would be better suited for a game like DS where you kill a boss once and move on. Most games have at least something though. Warframe just keeps playing the level's ambient music during the fight.
It plays the ambient music during the fight cause boss fights are so casual to the Tenno at this point lol
Third Semester but it would be cool anyway.
now that you mentioned it, we need boss music xD
*inb4 nerfed*
lel
Important to remember the audio theme for the tenno is those big heavy drums.
so if we did get anything, it should be this big booming drum heavy music.
i both agree/disagree ; becuz warframe's audio is already pretty busy and many bosses have audio ques to signal something happening, so the 'boss music' would be perfect for the intro cinematic, but then it would need to dial/tone it down quite a bit once the fighting started, but it could still be in the background, i wouldnt mind that
I expected to hear DMC music, knowing the game is basically fighting bosses
Yep. In fact, I'm starting concept work on a fan album and boss themes are gonna be their own separate volume.
if warframe had boss music und would be played for 2 seconds. After that the fight is already over :D
thats why i really want DE to rework bossfights SOOOOO MUCH. i mean: LOOK AT FUCKING "the seargeant" CAN BE ONE SHOT
That drakengard music my dude
Please upload more frequently
I adore your work
MASTER YI report Master yi
"Hey let's try spamming the boss again. I think we're gonna get the blueprint today."
*Mutes music*
i'd also like for them to boost up the Music volume, since even then, it gets drowned out by the sounds of gunfire.
Tyl Regors music was the best
I agree there used to be music for boss fights back then. Especially loved zunika.
They need a whole new soundtrack for bosses and stuff, that would be amazing
*epic boss introduction*
*heavy metal starts playing*
*bossfight starts*
*boss gets Opticore'd and dies in 1 shot*
"assassination contract complete, head to extraction"
To be honest, most of the bosses are rekt in like 1 second anyway, so we wouldn't get to enjoy the music.
the sergeants theme just shows up out of nowhere and confuses everyone for one second till you kill him by accident thinking he was a normal enemy
Dude great idea and great editing, hopefully DE see's this one day.
Thanks again for the glyph mate, love it
I sometimes put "Your contract has expired" from the soundtrack of A Hat in Time when I play Warframe
There's a video uploaded on youtube which is the Old Corpus Music (I mean the stuff that was in like beta and all that, before they introduced March of the Moas, Corpus Greed etc.). The funny realization when the boss kill takes 4secs and you listen to 4 seconds of music.
would make a huge difference actually.
Like brute guitar solos and drums for grineer, synthesizers and electronic melodies for corpus, slow deep melodies for infested, orchestrals for corrupted, choirs for sentinel and likin park when the stalker appears.
When fighting Eidolons just put on any battle soundtrack from Shadow of the Colossus and you're set.
Goes to kill Sergeant on phobos. Epic music starts. One shots the sergeant, epic music ends. Feelsbadman
Ahhhhhh! Yes, you used Drakengard 3 music! I love that soundtrack so much.
>Nameless King boss fight
YOU TRIGGERED MY PTSD
I defeat him on first try, when I played dark souls 3 for first feal
Ambulas boss fight music should be something from Farcry Blood Dragon
u can press shift tab if ur playing warframer on steam and yt some songs that u like and think will go well for that boss fight or even for the whole mision
Oh btw
I hoped so baf that Tyl Regor's would be that Industrial Metal Music that I found while browsing Warframe music called "Tubemen of Tyl Regor"
Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up for lephantis and Im in
I'd honestly fight even the worst of bosses again so long as they'd have some kickass music to get me in the mood.
Would love that. Theme for at least Eidolons Battles, Keyla and Lephantis, since they are the longest in the game (especially sortie variants?)...Index and Rathuum could use their own themes too :0

I thought I'd hear Metal Gear Rising boss tracks but it's passable.
Drake Fang
Ikr!
RULES OF NATURE
Drake Fang TYL REGOR SCREAMS SAM OST
Lephantis-It Has To Be This Way
Tyl Regor-Stains of Time
Stalker-The Only Thing I Know For Real
Corrupted Vor-Rules of Nature
Vay Hek-Red Sun
Jordas Golem-Collective Consciousness
Hyena Pack-I'm My Own Master Now
Kela de Thaym-A Stranger I Remain
Love it, I agree they really need boss music fast energetic music to pace with the gameplay
Porphi youre so clean
Why are we not founding this?
either some good warrior metal or Synthwave fits perfectly.
With Boss music on, Warframe just got upgraded by 9999%
Farming in Destiny - Wrath of the Machine and hours and hours of wipes, the music didn't get old and changed at different fight stages. Could also be toggled off. WF has great tunes - more would be amazing.
when you one shot everything there is no time for music to start xD
>Boss activates
>Boss music starts cool
>MR28 Player buttblasts boss in one shot with his ultra mega giga meta build
>Cool music ends instantly after 2 seconds
>T_T
And thats what for combat ost is for
And i know you have heard atleast once the zariman combat ost
2:15
TIME TO LEAVE THEM ALL BEHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIND!
LOVED THE TYL REGOR ONE :O !! +sub
Honestly warframe with boss music is epic. Loved the vid
"Enter Zanuka"
Boss music intensifies.
"Zanuka dies 1shoot'ed"
boss music fades away
soo.. the problem is finding artists who can make interesting 5 seconds songs
Can't really argue with that logic.
SPACE MOM! WGERE'S MY BOSS MUSIC?!
i can only think in one music with tyl regor and it is *THERE WILL BE BLOOD! SHED!!*
This needs to be a fully fledged thing
Imagine what they could do if they made a collab with an artist like they did for the original soundtrack
In the meantime, I always play Warframe with metal in the background (makes it even cooler)
Sir. You have my attention.
Well, i didn't notice that bosses has no music (maybe that's because i play foo fighters in the background).
I loved this vid.....I always have Pandora goin while I'm playin because music is one of the few things wf could improve on.
You bring this epicness to Warframe RIGHT NOW DE!!!
The only two bosses that have music (kinda) with them are
Stalker (though oddly enough i haven't heard it from him since Update 18)
and
Tyl Regor (a Grineer battle track starts playing whenever his bossfight starts).
*Spoilers:*
Technically Hunhow's bossfight also counts, since you are basically fighting him by replacing his "Sentient dissonance" with our "Tenno harmony".
Yup, there should be some boss music.
When fighting Kela I love listening to Hyperion Slaughter from Borderlands 2 for example.
the music choices maybe not ideal, but DEFINETLY love the idea!
The Sergeant's boss theme should be "You Suffer", by Napalm Death.
when yo boi porphi uploads he leaves da dank
That was badass the music fit perfectly
They really should have their own boss music. I'm honestly surprised that they don't.
Whilst watching that FFXV clip, the first thing that came to mind was "Don't touch the fucking water, mag procs suck dicc"
This is a brilliant idea, DE should watch this
my picks:
grineer: thrash/heavy metal
infested: death metal
corpus: synthwave or industrial metal
corrupted/orokin: something classical
sentient: dunno
Can you pls do a second part putting music to all the bosses of warframe?
For some reason, every single time I fight the Raptors, or most Corpus droid bosses for that matter, I always have this playing in my head: re-logic.bandcamp.com/track/moon-lord
A wild porphi has appeared
Carpenter Burt, and DANGER should write music for the boss fights if DE doesn't plan on making the music themselves.

DE can make some awesome music for sure but nothing that really fuels the heat of the moment in a boss fight.
Alright DE, you heard the man. Get to it.
Boss fights in warframe take mere seconds.
DE: Did u really believe that it would be this easy???!!!!
After you guys POUNDED the stalker on the livestream today i was expecting an update
Yea but usually you'd only enjoy the music a few seconds before it ends
Well as long as i wouldn't mind boss music in Warframe i would like it to stay in the same style as rest of games Soundtrack, so ok both Grineer and Corpus maps have different music styles so this could be fleshed out too with bosses

Just make everything musical...
Not just that, warframe probably needs an entire boss rework, smthg like near 3A games boss design level with their own special soundtrack
Kela de thayne always reminded me of undyne...perfect voice and attitude.
Joey Zero has a beast remix of the Second Dream theme.
Would be pretty fun. They probably don't do it because it would make one-shotting bosses so much more depressing.
When is Octavia going to hook up her sound system into banshee for the ultimate combo?
Music would be interesting, but I kind of feel it is what sets Warframe apart.
Instead of the music being a focus point of the encounter, the music is reserved for either ambience music in the background...or kept for the amazing moments.

people complaining about repetition, devs can just provide a separate option for boss music volume and we good to go for this important addition
Has the community pushed this as an issue, this is almost a game changer.
I think if we were to have boss music it would be more in keeping with the current soundtrack.
For Kela De Thaym I use "Ball of Satan"
Hello my Lizards!
Hello my Leeches!
Hello my BLOODY WOOORMS!
I think something similar to FFX's "Otherworld" Jecht's theme would be the style for some of the bosses like the arena one.
