    What a pleasure it is to see this little gem brought back to life! I’d bet you could get at least another 50 years of faithful service out of it. Great job!

    Wow that blue came out a lot brighter than it looked at first, I'm sure some combo of lighting, glare, whatever. Still a surprise! I gotta say though my favorite parts were the wiring and seeing it run smoothly at the end.

    As soon as you said, " "Rewired" with lamp cord" I cringed. One does not replace the correct wire with the wrong type of wire. That's a good way for the replacement wire to overheat and cause a fire. Love the miniature of Bob Ross when you went to start painting. I grew up watching him. An of course that last one you put in the oil just had to make a splash, making a bit of a mess. Finished work looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

    I hands down enjoy the videos you find some of the most amazing things to fix up...only my opinion as crazy as it sounds & not trying to be rude but the sandblasting i could do without its long & kinda makes my headache so I typically skip over that part..I mean by now its already a given what it the outcome is going to look like

    • @TRGRESTORATIONS
      @TRGRESTORATIONS  2 роки тому +1

      Some folks watch exclusively for the sandblasting, gotta try to give everyone a little piece of what they want I suppose

    Great work as always. Not a fan of the colors chosen. It isn't a restoration when you change them. It's a customization. I guess for me a classic like that is deserving of its original finish. Most of the brightly colored stuff that I see now tool wise reminds me of the Chinese putting garish colors on stuff to get people's attention and promote sales. The old American tools didn't need that, they sold on quality ( as is shown in the fact that a tool that old with a little TLC can become new again ). This is all my opinion of course, and in disagreement with most that I've read. But as usual, great job in the work you do in bringing a beautiful old tool back to life.

    Really enjoyed this video. I'm in the process of restoring a Craftsman bench grinder and this was very helpful. Just curious -- why do you think the motor wasn't working initially? It looks like you just thoroughly cleaned it, and that was all it needed. Did you replace the brushes or anything like that?
