Thanks for giving up your free time to be with all of us, Rift. It might be in just a small way, but your videos have definitely had a positive impact on my life and state of mind. :)
Well it's the least I can do. If the little enjoyment I get out of making these videos brings at least some kind of enjoyment or escape to at least 1 other person, then that's all that matters really.
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I much prefer this kind of atmosphere than bright sunny days in summer. The dreary, dead trees and cloudy skies are so beautifu
They are actualy crated by a preaty similar process since treebranches are used by the trees as "sap vessels" to transport nutrients and energy through the tree. It's quite interesting =P
wow, i live in the poconos and i can tell you that rickets glen is amazing. you just follow the paths and its just waterfall after waterfall. really amazing place.
I like the winter woods scenery. They are extra relaxing and a touch melancholy. It is very reflective and more peaceful than a forest in any other season .
I love this Rift. I am an avid shooter/hunter and enjoy plinking outdoors on my off days from work, or just being outdoors in general. ASMR and the outdoors go hand in hand, especially the subtle calmness of winter.
Coincidentally, the night before this video was posted I dreamt of the most amazingly beautiful landscape and I knew I had to keep moving to stop myself from waking up, because I really wanted to explore as much as possible of it. My dream sort of came true earlier than I thought (at least on a slightly higher level of reality).
I Always Think When I Watch Your Videos That Your In Some Far Off Magical Land Of Wisdom And Enchantment That I Could Never Reach, But Its Videos Like These That Remind Me Your Not So Different From Us.
a couple weeks back i commented asking where these videos went. idk if you ever saw it but either way I'm glad they're back. thanks for braving the cold so I can hear nature from my bed
Thank you for this video. It got cought inside of anger because of some games and just watching 9 minutes of this video really helped me to calm down and bring me back to a positive mindset so a big thank you from me! :)
This guy is willing to stand in the middle of COLD friggin' water to obtain maximum pleasurable ASMR, people. He's the real deal! Gotta love ya Uncle E
I'm not sure how doable it would be, but it would be interesting if you had like a hat mounted 360 camara on one of these future adventures so that we can experience all the glorious tigles while also being able to look around like we are there with you.
Ephemeral Rift I hope you remember to stay hydrated during these. Bring a bottle of water or two. Wouldn't want you getting hurt or Ill just to bring us some nice relaxing videos.
Troy Hale It's true for the most part. You don't have to worry so much about bacteria if the water is running. It's stagnant water you have to worry about.
It's interesting to see Winter in warmer areas of the world, here in Finland every winter is full of snow and -20-30 celcius, I love that kind of weather but it's somehow really interesting to see something like this.
Let's get Uncle E to 300,000 subs. This guys deserves it. Well he deserves a million but we'll take the baby steps. If you read this comment hope you have a great day.
Oh, I love that decaying beauty of winter's nature so much! What a mesmerizing place to take a walk :( I wish I could go out there with you and talk about our favorite Lovecraft story.. but that would be too good to be true 🍂
42:00 I'm washing my clothes as I heard this! Doing something free and different, once in a while, that you enjoy...helps break the monotony. Makes you enjoy life more....i agree!
Amazing...you captured the beauty & tranquility so well. Your whispered voice provides the perfect narrative. Reminds me of some of the poetry that Rod McKuen has set to music at times. I'm like 7-8 nationalities myself Lol
I love your nature videos! Being out in nature and walking around is relaxing in general, and I love getting to see new places! I got really excited when you started talking about waterfalls and and ocean possibly :D As always, loved the video and the cinematography was spot on:)
Thank you kindly I try my best when it comes to filming and yes I'm hoping to get down to the atlantic ocean before it starts to get busy with people so I can get at least 1 semi decent full length ocean video.
I am loving your videos. I discovered them when looking for some just straight noises for sleeping and have watched them pretty much every night since. They're not just helpful when trying to sleep but when I'm really upset they just calm me down so well... Personally, I know you have lots of projects going on, but I would absolutely LOVE a simple storytelling ASMR series. Ya'know, just reading out of a book or something like that, maybe adding in some sound effects... So if you're looking for anything new to do... Anyway, love your videos! please keep making them!
I had myself an ASMR nature journey myself today, shot 4 coyotes on my uncle's territory that were messing with his livestock. Walked 32 acres out to get my vantage point (they learned to not come out from car/atv noises for hours) and it was just a beautiful day. It always amazes me how relaxing it is hiding in tall grass/tree stands listening to the wind, the birds, and an electronic mating call from a female coyote.
Been living in Washington State my whole life and I can vouch for that seasonal depression you mentioned at 25:38. It's a really big problem for the local universities, especially UW, because of all of the out of state and Foreign students from Asia that just aren't used to the almost constant cloud cover that happens in the winter. Lot's of needless suicides this time of year
I love this! I think you should come back to this location in the summer time when everything is in full bloom. I recognized that Pennsylvania forestry immediately :)
Born and raised in Barbra County WV,I lived in black bear mountain and we used to get snow so bad the electric would be out for days ,Thank god we had a wood stove and tons of canned soup,But is sure was pretty in summer time and there's nothing like swimming in a river with a waterfall
I lived in Raleigh county then moved to Morgantown where I went to WVU. I used to always explore the woods and trails, but now I live in FL, it was too cold for me haha.
Ridley park is about a 15 minute drive away from my house. I've been there a lot and it's so cool to see that somebody I watch a lot of on UA-cam is so close, Small world.
HOLY great quality! I'm not even 15 seconds into the video, lol! I can't wait to start reading while listening to this (or if the talking doesn't work well with reading, I'll listen to one of your no talking vids but definitely listening/watching this at some point as a whole in its own)!
Hi Uncle E, you will probably never read this ( and I'm not trying to be one of those attention seeking people ) but I just wanted to say a huge thank you for creating this channel and sharing your views on life with us. You have honestly helped me through tough times so I guess I just wanted to say thank you. This is going to sound really cheesy but I want to become the person you are when I am older.
Well thanks for watching and you should become the person you intend on being yourself ;) Take what suits you from others, from different teachings, etc and form your own personal mindset and philosophy. That's what I've done and try to keep doing.
You know what would be super mega awesome- if on one of your excursions, you were lucky enough to spot and record a bald eagle! That would make my day!
I go here all the time. That's so funny. You must live near me. I see you took the White Trail. I love the part on the Yellow trail when you cross over the wooden beams. I think they put them in because it's a swamp area. Did you film the Rob Ross segment here too. I thought it looked familiar.
3:173:19 looks like the clouds are the leaves on the trees. Nice effect on my eyes. sometimes clouds look like mountians to mee anything hoes w a cloud. natures moving art.
I loved this! Nature connection soothes the mind and spirit. I'm curious, what type of camera and camera mount to you use to keep the video so smooth as you walk?
I always love walking thru nature and thinking about how beautiful it is and how much more so it must have been when the first European settlers found these areas. I doubt they had an appreciation for the beauty they found as they were truly struggling to survive the harshness of Mother Nature. How unfortunate it is that the exploitation of natural resources,a lack of respect for the land and waterways and an incomplete understanding of ecosystems has caused so much pollution worldwide but especially so here in North America,a land found so pristine and primeval. If ever there was a promised land we found it and then proceeded to destroy it. Thankfully conservation efforts have greatly curbed our intrusion but it will take hundreds of years after mankind is extinct to bury our folly. I know you didn't find the scene all to appealing due to the lack of sunlight but I personally find cloudy wet days to be even more enjoyable as I watch the Earth being renewed and revitalized, albeit a bit less comfortable for us humans as we seek to stay dry and warm in the moist environment. Thank you for making this video,it has been far to long since I have been on a peaceful nature hike like this one.
Thanks for giving up your free time to be with all of us, Rift. It might be in just a small way, but your videos have definitely had a positive impact on my life and state of mind. :)
+DromZ Jeez, dude. Chill.
Well it's the least I can do. If the little enjoyment I get out of making these videos brings at least some kind of enjoyment or escape to at least 1 other person, then that's all that matters really.
America is so beautiful
Greetings from Germany
Imagine bumping into one of EphemeralRift's creations late at night in those woods.
andrewcryan1
I'd have no problem taking a walk through the forest with Corvus
As long as Margaret isn't there!
True
Iggy Manley wouldn't be so bad to run into lol.
Anyone except Margret...or Professor Clemmons. Do NOT trust the Professor.
There's nothing more relaxing than nature
InhaleTheGreen ExhaleTheDream 🌲🌲❄
Maybe I'm just crazy, but I much prefer this kind of atmosphere than bright sunny days in summer. The dreary, dead trees and cloudy skies are so beautifu
I like how tree branches form stems like blood vessels in organics....especially when viewed with a sky background
They are actualy crated by a preaty similar process since treebranches are used by the trees as "sap vessels" to transport nutrients and energy through the tree. It's quite interesting =P
The first-person view and how stable the camera is makes me feel like I'm playing a video game.
I run there all the time, it's much more beautiful in the summer as you can imagine
wow, i live in the poconos and i can tell you that rickets glen is amazing. you just follow the paths and its just waterfall after waterfall. really amazing place.
2012 was about when I started watching asmr and I'm the same way now. I don't get tingles from videos but I am still very relaxed by them.
The most relaxing video I've ever seen.
Thank you, ER :)
I'm going to be listening to this again when I fall asleep later on
I like the winter woods scenery. They are extra relaxing and a touch melancholy. It is very reflective and more peaceful than a forest in any other season .
+Ephemeral Rift I took screen shots all the way through so I can show my family Thank you for sharing with us what a beautiful Walk😀
Josh Mottram

Yeah he did.

Leehamster XP I would like to know as well lol
ZippperBeansPyro so stable!!!
nottjordan that's just the stabilizer :(
I play Ephemeral Rift while I'm out hunting in nature. I play Rift when a deer gets close and he falls asleep. I don't even need a gun

I love this Rift. I am an avid shooter/hunter and enjoy plinking outdoors on my off days from work, or just being outdoors in general. ASMR and the outdoors go hand in hand, especially the subtle calmness of winter.

Can't wait to start going camping in the summer. I love nature!
I love listening to nature, it's the best!
Used to visit Ridley Creek all the time as a kid; grew up nearby. This is awesome stuff and very beautiful!
I Always Think When I Watch Your Videos That Your In Some Far Off Magical Land Of Wisdom And Enchantment That I Could Never Reach, But Its Videos Like These That Remind Me Your Not So Different From Us.
Hang in there brother! You brighten up the seasons for the rest of us! Much love!
Another one of my favorite things, ever; strolling through nature with Uncle Rift. You're so close to 300K, Paul! Keep on doing your thing
I love the nature videos, glad to see them back!
a couple weeks back i commented asking where these videos went. idk if you ever saw it but either way I'm glad they're back. thanks for braving the cold so I can hear nature from my bed
Thanks for this video! I think i've watched every single one of your nature videos, they're always so beautiful to see.
I'm a huge fan of this type of video WITH the talking.
You do it best.
Oh God... what a beautiful place to be in! Thanks for sharing it with us, would like to go there camping.

+coqsoq I think it's something like the DJI Osmo.
Thank you for finally posting one of these! They're a particular favorite of mine :)
Thank you for this video. It got cought inside of anger because of some games and just watching 9 minutes of this video really helped me to calm down and bring me back to a positive mindset so a big thank you from me! :)

You and me both ;) Glad to hear.
These are my favorite!
Aaaah yeah. Just what I needed for my study session.
(Thank you ER, these are my favorite!
Thanks for watching/listening. And good luck with the studies!
I'm not sure how doable it would be, but it would be interesting if you had like a hat mounted 360 camara on one of these future adventures so that we can experience all the glorious tigles while also being able to look around like we are there with you.
Ephemeral Rift
I hope you remember to stay hydrated during these. Bring a bottle of water or two. Wouldn't want you getting hurt or Ill just to bring us some nice relaxing videos.
Vidya Gaems okay mom
SkyFire that's not true lol
Troy Hale It's true for the most part. You don't have to worry so much about bacteria if the water is running. It's stagnant water you have to worry about.
Jacob Carey it's really not. All you are doing is slightly decreasing the chance of water born illnesses. plus you never know what is up stream
Thanks, I definitely do keep hydrated!

Great video, love the word of the day "traverse."
Thanks, I'm in a dark place right now and I needed that. Thank you
Oh, I love that decaying beauty of winter's nature so much! What a mesmerizing place to take a walk :( I wish I could go out there with you and talk about our favorite Lovecraft story.. but that would be too good to be true 🍂
This was wonderful. There is some blizzard like conditions where I am right now so this was a nice break from all that white.
42:00 I'm washing my clothes as I heard this! Doing something free and different, once in a while, that you enjoy...helps break the monotony. Makes you enjoy life more....i agree!
You're camera makes the video look like a video game it's pretty cool to watch

You would love the state parkland around my area. So many trails!
It's 40 degrees and you're cold? Uncle E I live in England and warm is 5 degrees here
Vex It's worse in the south our cold can be up in the 50's
Vex True 😂
Vex if I was there I'd be walking around in a t shirt and some shorts
Vex Here in Finland it's -10°C at the moment.
He means 40F which is 5C
I love your nature videos! Being out in nature and walking around is relaxing in general, and I love getting to see new places! I got really excited when you started talking about waterfalls and and ocean possibly :D As always, loved the video and the cinematography was spot on:)

I plan on it !
Outstanding, I love these!
And yeah, that stabilizer is fantastic! So pro...
I like your outdoor videos. I started making my own, I'll be using the GH4 this spring.. can't wait.
I love this!!!
This was really nice, it reminds me of the time I lived in WV.
Andrei ASMR WV is so pretty.
Zoqzu, it is during the summer, but the winters were the coldest in my life.
Born and raised in Barbra County WV,I lived in black bear mountain and we used to get snow so bad the electric would be out for days ,Thank god we had a wood stove and tons of canned soup,But is sure was pretty in summer time and there's nothing like swimming in a river with a waterfall
I'm in Wayne/Cabell County line (Huntington) and i love it. Moved there from New England
I lived in Raleigh county then moved to Morgantown where I went to WVU. I used to always explore the woods and trails, but now I live in FL, it was too cold for me haha.

Great to hear from so many PA locals. And the world is often smaller than we think sometimes that's for sure.
Love these
Excited for any Poconos videos to come, it'll be nice to see home from the other side of the country. Didn't realize you were in PA.
Born and raised. My folks are from up that region. Looking forward to getting up there when the weather permits.
I love these nature videos! Really made my weekend :)
Sarah Bonser it's impossible to make time
Thanks and glad to hear!
I love the Videoeffect when the camera gets tilted towards the sky and the pictures gets super dark and then fades back when tilted down again!
Your stabilizer game is so strong I got the feel of a hyper immersive PC game. Everything looks unrealistically gorgeous.
HOLY great quality! I'm not even 15 seconds into the video, lol! I can't wait to start reading while listening to this (or if the talking doesn't work well with reading, I'll listen to one of your no talking vids but definitely listening/watching this at some point as a whole in its own)!
You should become a professional cinimatographer. Those camera shots are great.
Wow, this is a beautiful video.
I love your beautiful voice and eyes. I love the scenes ty!!

Don't you think real life has some good graphics? :)
FriendlyHit Your comment got me thinking.
... That's because they're not part of Real Life Master Race.
+RyanBVOII Corrupt/outdated graphics card.
Its snowed in london a while ago and the bush looks beautiful where i live
This is actually really good :) Please do more👍👍👍
AYYEEE YOU LIVE REALLY CLOSE TO ME! I hope I see you on the trails sometime! 🌳 like it feels weird seeing places where I spent my entire summer.
this series could really catch on, even to non-asmr fans
I go here all the time. That's so funny. You must live near me. I see you took the White Trail. I love the part on the Yellow trail when you cross over the wooden beams. I think they put them in because it's a swamp area. Did you film the Rob Ross segment here too. I thought it looked familiar.

If you're ever up to traveling you should definitely check out the driftless area and devils lake state park in WI.
either you have one helluva steady hand, or a stabilizer. great video.
I loved this! Nature connection soothes the mind and spirit.
I'm curious, what type of camera and camera mount to you use to keep the video so smooth as you walk?

Love this ER.
BTW: It's too cold! :)
