@@37BopCity well I’m not going to be so arrogant or crass to say “wrong”, but I’d like to know why you feel Pettersson would be a better trade than Miller?
Great video! I flew out to the game in Toronto with a buddy this weekend and had a good vibe all day. During the warmups Blueger came by and jumped into the glass where some other Canucks were just to acknowledge them, I had an even better feeling after that. Fun weekend for sure!
I mean I'm stoked on the win too but why are so many people hailing this as a major turning point? It's literally just one game against an average team. They just bombed like 4 games in a row before that, and their whole problem this season is a complete lack of consistency, so why are people suddenly so confident? It's like there have been two completely different Canucks teams and you never know which one will show up each night. It's been like that all season. This is what we need to see before I will consider anything a turning point: -Consistently cutting down on our chronic issues such as overall sloppy defense, giving up multiple breakaways every game, giving up shorthanded goals, never getting the first goal, falling apart in OT, and taking dumb penalties at critical moments. -Many of our under-producing forwards starting to produce - we need those goals that we were getting last season from guys like Miller, Pettersson, Hoglander, and Joshua -Consistently getting more wins than losses. An awesome win means nothing if you completely implode in the next game.
I definitely agree, but we haven’t had many (if any) games with everyone healthy. I’d argue that part of the consistency issues stem from unfamiliarity in terms of defence pairings and starting their play late into the season (in the case of Demko and Joshua).
Even though it was just one game, great thoughts overall. I feel like I've been commenting and commenting over and over on videos that we have to keep both. Losing Miller or Petey would be shooting ourselves in the foot, honestly.
The Toronto game was a badly needed win, but it's not going to "save their season". There's a lot of games to be played yet, and it's highly doubtful Canucks are going to move up to the top of the Pacific Division like last year. Vegas and Edmonton are too strong, and so is LA. Canucks might make the playoffs if they can pull off more games like Toronto, so we will see what they do in their next game against Winnipeg. They're definitely the underdog in that game.
Soucy Myers might actually look elite once again once hronek is back. I do like Myers with Hughes either way. I hope Hughes can use his partner more whoever that is, it's why Quinn took off last year. This year he's doing too much solo. Eventually you run out of space, gotta use your other NHL players on the ice
Honestly pretty unrealistic. Thinking willander is going to slot in for the playoffs is insane. I know he’s great but he hasn’t played one nhl game let alone a playoff game. I think trading solid depth guy like hoglander or suter would go for a third or second pair D that can move the puck.
We need 2 top 4, 2nd pair D men. Marcus Pettersson and maybe a Will Borgen would do. I know that money would make keeping Brock impossible.. but we need the D. As long as we don't have to part with our top cog prospects in a trade, like Lekkerimaki, Willander, or DPetey. If we can deal away some dollars to make room. Hogs and Vinny would save 5. Boeser is another 6.65 that won't be on the books next year. There are a few guys not returning next year. Sutor, PDG, Boeser, Lankinen, Forbort. But maybe I'm thinking next year too much. This year? I'm with you on MPD. Marcus all the way.
Suter might take a team friendly deal. And he's worth it for his flexibility. Laink needs to take 3 mil range and we be happy. PDG is fine if he takes league min. Boeser is the issue for how much he wants. Don't have the cap for it. Need to drop forbert and Soucy.
@@boxvango9021 I hope suter shooter takes a friendly deal. I’m praying lanks takes a 3 mill deal cause he plays like a 5 mill or more goaltender. Boeser has so many clutch plays in his career, I hope we keep him
Petterson has to go. juulsen has been strong all year. And picking up Marcus Petterson and while not signing Zadorov 6 years for 5mil for a plug Dman ?? Man you really gotta give your head a shake.
What moves do the Canucks need to make going forward?
This will make me unpopular but….
Miller for a mobile defenseman, and a competent tough guy.
@@shizuokaBLUES Wrong, trade Petterson instead.

Collecting Petterssons like they're Pokémon
Dude they played so good, that’s clearly the style Tocchet wants them playing. Giving up nothing and capitalizing on their looks.
Just what Shorty is pleading for, 3 Petterssons in the lineup including 2 of the Elias variety.
Logical takes on this. So refreshing compared to other clickbait content and "expert hockey journalism".
Ryan Oreilly would be insane at the right price
Great video!

Got me so excited thinking about pettersson and ROR on the Canucks. Those are cup winning trades right there

That wink was a “were good boys, were good”
I can’t believe they’ve been able to stay a float with how unlucky they’ve been.
Really try to like Noah but he just isn’t cutting it at all. Mind blown then waived brannstrom while Juulsen is still on roster

Best Canucks UA-cam channel.
Thanks!
Pettersson would be a killer addition to this team, great d-man plus would be a great veteran partner when Willander comes up to the NHL.
brannstrom is too good not to be put in this team, i think replacing him with soucy would be better in the long run, with forbort waiting to come in
Brock Nelson is on their radar. That would solidify their bottom forward strength.
I think 1 win turning into a Stanley cup run is a bit of a stretch

Normally its insane, but the only reason I suggested it is because theres no way he’s worse than Desharnais or Juulsen 😂
Should do a video on Rick Blight?

4:29 For a second I honestly thought that was Mike Babcock.
buddy we need a canadian defenceman
Name one Canadian dman on the market better than Pettersson
It sure is
They will have about 5M in cap space at the deadline - there not enough for both O'Reilly and Marcus Pettersson
They would probably off load blueger and get some salary retention on Pettersson to make it work.
I’d be willing to trade Heinen and/or Suter for Ryan O’Reilly.
Soucys stats recently are just as bad as Juulsen. And soucy is 2.5 mil. If he can't wake up hes gotta get traded.

leave hoggy out of this.
Lol it was one game. Relax….
Exactly.
Wouldn’t Pettersson cost 1st round pick , I don’t want the canucks to trade a 1st round pick what are your thoughts?
A PUNJABI PRISON MATCH HAHAHA
