    Make a silicone mold then put molten salt in it. Once the molten salt is dried take it out and see if it molded.

      The silicone mould would become a very "krispy kritter" nearly instantaneously. :-O

      Daniel Chee oops. I have an autocorrect going on. Silicone burns before 550f degrees and the salt is around 2000f so it would probably melt toxicly than carbonize. That's what I meant.

    Please make a rocket propelled by acetylene gas as it's propellant obtained from calcium carbide and water reaction. Using gaseous propellant in a simple homemade rocket will be a feat. Worth a king of random project ..

      Haven Wankerl butter melts easily so if you DO want to destroy the pop corn you have to boil the butter which won't work either because that way it will become a gas at 2000 degrees

      See everyone's saying that's not how it works but I beg to disagree. Anyone with a teapot will know a layer of minerals builds up on the bottom over time (well if you have hard water). So if you were to scrape of that white deposit presumably you could melt it at some temperature. So the question regarding bottled water is whether there's enough minerals to form a deposit once the water evaporates.

    What does the molten salt do to the pan when you pour salt into it? The finish on the pan might contribute to some nasty burning chemicals

    1) This video may havebeen made before.
    2) Could still be testing the new tongs.
    3) The new tongs he said were going to be tested and that there would be footage of that seperately.

      Most of their demographic might be American though. If you care so much, you can find Celsius (or centigrade) by multiplying the temperature by 1.8 or 9/5, then adding 32. Or you can just use a temperature converter online

    I put the molten salt on a slightly larger bowl and uncooked popcorn on a smaller bowl. The molten salt was under the kernels and it popped perfectly (except the ones on the bottom).
