Uhm, no. If you’re noticing knots and split ends you need a trim. Dont get a trim because your hair is not of equal length. Trim because you’re noticing damage. If the damage is untreated it could travel up the hair chaff and cause even worse damage.
4C trimming absolutely NOT necessary. And here is why. 1. Many people who think they have 4C hair actually do not have 4C hair. Instead they have dry and malnutritioned hair. 2. 4C hair is largely found amongst Africans from the Southern part of Africa, like the Bush people. 2. Follow traditional African hair routines like Chebe women and Himbe women. They have extremely long hair and it's never trimmed.
@@mamoyoT Chebe women didn’t have 4c hair …I repeat chebe women didn’t have 4c hair 2.single strand knots are knots you can’t prevent no matter what however you can make sure your hair is well moisturized and stretched to reduce them 3.4c hair has the most tight coil pattern and so we’re more prone to SSK and this is why a lot of us experience a plateau because we simply won’t let go of those ends 4.Your hair becomes more manageable with trimmed ends…fraustrations to big chop is real 5.Please please please stop this bs about 4c hair not needing a trim …hair is hair…every hair needs trims for maintenance
@Loretta29 LET ME MAKE THIS VERY VERY CLEAR.....CHEBE WOMEN HAVE 4C HAIR. PERIOD. And if you can't discuss with using profanity shame on you! Typical black western attitude of wanting to educate the whole world when you know very very little.
Trimming is still beneficial, you just have to make sure that you’re holding the hair that you’re trimming parallel to your scalp! That way you’re not tricking yourself into thinking you have more damage than you actually do, that was a mistake I made the first time I trimmed my hair in January.
when you stretch to a 90 degree angle you re creating layers. when holding your hair at a 0 degree angle it is one length. not layers. she is creating layers.

That’s called layers. Don’t do this if you want even hair.
Exactly 😂
Sorry but for 4c girls trimming is necessary because of single strand knots
She didn't say don't trim , she's saying make sure your hair is at the correct angle when trimming
She's cutting layers holding it that way. No thanks
