Unfortunately I didn't use the strategy to its fullest potential! France and fast fortress strategies in general are not my favorite, but in the hands of a better French player I know it will work!

whole idea behind a fast fortress is that you use new tech units, probably should not go fast fortress and than make musketeers xd

t4ntrum tf2 Makes sense. I needed some anti cav, so I upgraded them and tossed them in there. I needed more artillery to be effective too.

My opinion, proper French ff is the strongest strat in game if you go skirms dragoons. I did like the jaegers tho. Blue had a killer comeback. Cool upload

I’ve never seen him loose before, definitely thought he was unbeatable lol
few mistakes that I found 1. when you saw his cavalry retreat you should have send your settlers out of city and attacked this base. people often send back their army to defend it. 2 why not 2 town centers? 3. make 80 population 4. upgrade troops, use arsenal. once I killed 10 gendarmes with 6 of mine just because I had upgrades . 5. increase line of sight via church.

nope French is 80. they have higher production rate than average settlers.
ok good to know,but is not too much,like 80 villagers and you remain with 120 population for army

He means play with Japan. Their a very hard Civ to use and its really hard to manage their economy especially when you're up against European Civs

sorry to tell you, but when you start crossbowman the strategie is not fast fortress anymore but semi-fast fortress or short words semiff
Can recommend you add "Nants edict" to your deck, cause grenadiers at fortress age are cheap and very good at siege, and Napoleone codex increases your resource gain.

Just had a huge defeat on 3 vs 4 we were outnumbered but I was so sure that I was the best player around and France is my best civilization yet they just destroyed my Imperial Gendarmes with War Wagons and Skirmishers too. Looks like Wagons are impossible to beat? Can you please do France vs. German but big boom?
GameOn germany is France's counter. Almost any other nation and your cav is too good 😂
should have aged with the exiled prince so you chould get your skirms and cuir and cannons out faster, non the less still a good game
