The card that really stood out for me in this brawl was actually Anubisath Sentinel. Charging 4/4 that then gives another minion +3/+3 is pretty special.
This brawl really illustrated just how awful the Warsong Commander nerf was. EVEN IF EVERY SINGLE CARD in your deck benefits from Warsong Commander's buff, including the Warsong Commander itself... it is still too weak to be included.
+emwZEEK I created an aggro charge warrior deck using mostly basics (some commons and rares) and it does really well for dailies. After standard mode comes along I think a charge warrior deck will be strong, and the poor fellow will most likely get some buffs aswell
Huh, so I'm curious now. At 21:35, if it *had* been Misdirection, and Magnataur was forced to attack the Egg, would he also kill himself via his own effect?
+ZebraLord13 yes, misdirection would cause the cleave effect to also damage the magnataur, killing him in the process, had it happen to me with foe reaper lol
No one noticed how insane windfury is this brawl. Not even Kripp. It's not expensive either, I'm sitting at like 20 wins with my windfury combo shaman deck. Ice rager, knife juggler, a bunch of agro cards and card draw, you get him to low health and then finish him off with a surprise 2 wind elementals and 2 rockbiters or abusives for a 4 mana 20 damage otk And windfury harpy? Insane in this brawl. Insane for board clearing, insane for doing 8 damage on 6 mana. This is my favorite brawl yet, this is how shaman was always supposed to be.
+jamie yello did the same thing. u can kill you oponent by turn 4 regularly. a little difrent deck but more or less your 2 windfurys abusive sgt. and rockbiter are the key to victory
I did pretty well when this tavern started using warrior, but I have only been playing for a few weeks. It is pretty challenging now. There are two similar ideas that could work well for players that have few powerful minions. The first is to play shaman, and buff the strong minions with windfury, and the second is to play paladin and buff the windfury minions with kings, attack boosts and shields.
Aggro silence decks are nonoptimal, but passable. Don't have all the cards! Play early in the brawl. Good cards: Explosive Sheep for cheap board clear Loot Hoarder for flexibility Emperor Cobra for single target removal Raging Worgen Scarlet Crusader Eerie Statue because it's a 7/7 taunt for 4 mana Magnataur Alpha because every minion has Taunt and it can hit 3 simultaneously Sylvanas because it has charge and Mind Control effectively Molten Giant because at 10 health it's a 0 mana 8/8 charge taunt
This brawl made so many bad cards good. I don't own Eerie Statue, but I was doing just fine running Anub'ar Ambushers into everything. The fact that you can trade into something with it, and then it returns something to your hand, allowing you to play it again with charge was crazy.
I played a variation of Oil Rogue with decent results, having 6 Poison minions (Pit Snake, Patient Assassin and Emperor Cobra) gives you amazing removal together with Explosive Sheep and SI:7 with Backstab removed a Lot of the stuff played in the brawl.:3
I ran some kinda fun Divine Shield Pally with loads of draw and the game plan being to get huge Blood Knights charging alongside Molten Giants to finish off the game. I went 21-4 I believe, because my deck had a lot of sticky minions (like shieldbot and argent squire and such) which both work as combopieces and annoying early-game minions. And if that failed, I had a Bolvar in my deck just to help out.
Another amazing deck is Void Terror warlock, where you buff things to ridiculous strength with Power Overwhelming, attack, then summon Void Terror and attack again immediately! Plus, Molten Giant works there too.
I liked how this tavern brawl didn't have an obvious build from the word go like most of them, but considering my board game is much better than my deckbuilding game to begin with, I'm just glad it only took me two games to win.
I feel the main reason why the minions summoned off of the effects of other minions is because of Patron Warrior. Also would making Warsong Commander's effect be "The first minion you play each turn gains charge.' make it viable? something similar to pint sized summoner.
My favourite thing to do was vs a control warrior with 50 hp. He got me down to 10 and then I did double molten, double power overwhelming and void terror. It was so fun to hit him for 51 damage.
the tavern brawl is super fun. i played a rogue combo deck with molten giants. pretty strong with brewmaster and shadowstep and a lot of card draw and removels.
I played Molten Giant Rogue on this one. Emptied board with Prep + Vanish. Then Molten, Brewmaster the Molten, Molten again, Shadowstep Brewmaster, Brewmaster again, Molten again. 3x Molten and 2x Brewmaster hit for combined 30 damage. Vanish guarantees empty board, and combo can be done as early as turn 5 (or 4 with coin).
The addition of Sylvanas in my deck greatly improved my enjoyment of this TB. Especially after an opponent suicided his Feugen and Stalagg into my Ancient Shade and Eerie Statue only to get his still sleeping Thaddius sylvanas'd.
I have to say a lot of these tavern brawl rules have been game modes that I suggest over a year ago. That said, there's no such thing as "you must have these cards to compete"... I got 10 wins without much issues, and those 10 wins were enough to do 3 separate quests, which ultimately is the level to which you should aim for in brawls.
i really was hoping that the charge and taunt effect would work on summoned minions too (using the same mechanics they used for the battlecry/deathrattle/murloc brawl). I wanted to see people run the old patron warrior combo deck.
Haven't seen a single molten giant in this tavern brawl. Also, because statue is a waste of 200 dust, I just used ancient watcher instead. Druid innervate shenanigans are recommended imo

Bolster is good, but the true OPOpies are Rogue and Warlock due to the other playable one-drop: Young Dragonhawk. Rogue can create surprise lethal easily with a mix of attack buffs and life control for Moltens, whereas Warlock has the stupidly ridiculous combo of Power Overwhelming Dragonhawk into Void Terror, turning each PO into 12 damage and each Abusive Sergeant into 10. Surprise-lethal has never been so easy.
Hey Kripp, have you tried OTK shaman in this brawl? Running Alexstrasza with windfury with either the coin or thaurissan, or just molten with windfury and rockbiters, in my opinion it's hilarious and a lot of fun!
I was really curious to see what deck you´d come up with this week, I think you forgot or not really considered "dragonhawk rider". With it you can have taunt, charge and windfury the same turn the card is played in. If you but this card before attacking then you can make serious burst damage. BTW: Hello from Brazil.
i was really bummed that i was missing the black from making a really good deck but the rng gods were looking down on me that day as they gave me one in the bonus pack
Edwin SaxCleef Brawl. Play 2 card prior (possibly prep and sap or something) to SaxCleef, play SaxCleef, Ram face for 6 damage. Shadowstep SaxCleef, play him again and ram for 10 damage. Shadowstep and play him one last time, ram face for 14 damage. 30 damage at turn 5!
Hey Kripp, thanks for telling everyone how to make a deck that can stop me. I thought I had a really good paladin deck using uldaman and defenders. but after your video today, people are using cards that I just don't have. why can't you just wait an extra day or two when releasing tavern brawl videos.
Approximately 24.2% of kripp, needs to be skipped. Another random stat for the day, kripp has a higher hair count, than Donald Trump, just from his upper lip. PogChamp
I played this the first day it came out, and realized very quickly that I did not have the cards for a good deck. I built a quick Hunter rushdown deck and grabbed my card pack.
Basically YuGiOh! Every minion has taunt and charge in that game.
Its time to Du-du-du-du-d-d-d-duel!
Whoa... You're actually right.
It took me a minute to realize it.
+Keyboard Warrior Now that I think about it...
jacobislucas :)
+Keyboard Warrior Duel me bro, i know that you cant win, cause i got my blue eyes !
4:10 "In one turn, evryfin can happen" you are so right kripp...
The card that really stood out for me in this brawl was actually Anubisath Sentinel. Charging 4/4 that then gives another minion +3/+3 is pretty special.
What is better than a 5/1?? A 5/1 with charge and taunt!!
+MagmaRagerino Kripperino A 5/2 with Charge and taunt.
^^
+I Say ice is better then fire
+MagmaRagerino Kripperino Am I supposed to hate you?
+IceRagerino Kripperino Yes. He can onehit you nub, he fire maet! Kappa
This brawl really illustrated just how awful the Warsong Commander nerf was. EVEN IF EVERY SINGLE CARD in your deck benefits from Warsong Commander's buff, including the Warsong Commander itself... it is still too weak to be included.
The current warsong is not meant to be a good card lol, they removed warsong from the game and added the current warsong as a filler
The only time warsong commander can be useful and still isnt played LOL.
Nice
one guy used it and warsong commander gave itsself +1 attack. its basically a banana'd raid leader
+emwZEEK Even Magma Rager is better than Warsong Commander in this brawl.
i do...
+emwZEEK I created an aggro charge warrior deck using mostly basics (some commons and rares) and it does really well for dailies. After standard mode comes along I think a charge warrior deck will be strong, and the poor fellow will most likely get some buffs aswell
Oh God no! The return of the charging molten giant brewmaster warrior!
+Sam Otten i played that so much during beta...
+Sam Otten try this yourself. It works and fun?
When I work with boring homework, I just watch Kripp at the same time. Thanks for making Siq videos Kripp.
Where are the Kripps? Has the cancer finally left us?!
give it a little
i serve the rnglord
NuclearSkaterz777 ahh fuck

I like the video for two reasons: its actual content, and the people that got baited by Zing O.

Huh, so I'm curious now. At 21:35, if it *had* been Misdirection, and Magnataur was forced to attack the Egg, would he also kill himself via his own effect?
Not quite sure but i think so
+ZebraLord13 good question
+ZebraLord13 DisguisedToast / HysteriA wothy question :).
+ZebraLord13 yes, misdirection would cause the cleave effect to also damage the magnataur, killing him in the process, had it happen to me with foe reaper lol
Turns out Bolvar Paladain is preeeety good.
Yep
+BigGame Hunter Not with you around, though, amirite?
+Zappahcracker at least bolvar damaging something before died, unlike normal situation

That's what I've been doing as well
+jamie yello did the same thing. u can kill you oponent by turn 4 regularly. a little difrent deck but more or less your 2 windfurys abusive sgt. and rockbiter are the key to victory
Meh seems boring compared to some of the cool things
If you use harpy to kill to minions its the same as a death knight and i think one overlooked card was deathwing. He made me get to 30 wins
Thatedvardguy Yeah, but harpy doubles as burst damage too, which can be important.
That last play was beautiful!
No kripperinos? Banned forever?
Dream come true!
+IMLR. Wow, I just now realized that. Have they actually been banned?
+IMLR. I could feel the comments being less shit.
I did pretty well when this tavern started using warrior, but I have only been playing for a few weeks. It is pretty challenging now. The first is to play shaman, and buff the strong minions with windfury, and the second is to play paladin and buff the windfury minions with kings, attack boosts and shields.
Surprised I didn't see more people running Blood Knight. I had a blast with it in my all divine shield paladin deck.
When you realize you watch Kripp more than you play the game itself...
This is one of those brawls that I knew I needed to play right away. Because it goes from fun zoo type minion battle matches to charging OTK bullshit.
Wow it totally is Yugioh
I played a regular Patron Warrior deck you can see in Constructed, did pretty good with it. 1 Patron with charge is enough to snowball out of control
Divine shield Paladin deck also worked quite a bit because no matter what, your minion always survives the board clear.
Aggro silence decks are nonoptimal, but passable.
Don't have all the cards! Play early in the brawl.
Good cards:
Explosive Sheep for cheap board clear
Loot Hoarder for flexibility
Emperor Cobra for single target removal
Raging Worgen
Scarlet Crusader
Eerie Statue because it's a 7/7 taunt for 4 mana
Magnataur Alpha because every minion has Taunt and it can hit 3 simultaneously
Sylvanas because it has charge and Mind Control effectively
Molten Giant because at 10 health it's a 0 mana 8/8 charge taunt
Daamn Kripp, back at it again with the preeeetty good deck!
I always play Tavern Brawls when they just come out. Almost every week someone concedes right off the bat because they have no idea what's going on.
thx dor the tip
This brawl made so many bad cards good. I don't own Eerie Statue, but I was doing just fine running Anub'ar Ambushers into everything. The fact that you can trade into something with it, and then it returns something to your hand, allowing you to play it again with charge was crazy.
This brawl was the old OTK warrior all over again
I played a variation of Oil Rogue with decent results, having 6 Poison minions (Pit Snake, Patient Assassin and Emperor Cobra) gives you amazing removal together with Explosive Sheep and SI:7 with Backstab removed a Lot of the stuff played in the brawl.:3
I ran some kinda fun Divine Shield Pally with loads of draw and the game plan being to get huge Blood Knights charging alongside Molten Giants to finish off the game. The molten giant void terror combo keeps wrecking me. Surprised Krip hasn't mentioned it
Another amazing deck is Void Terror warlock, where you buff things to ridiculous strength with Power Overwhelming, attack, then summon Void Terror and attack again immediately! Plus, Molten Giant works there too.
Why the hell did Kripp edit in that yawn at 18:16
+Thezorx7 He doesn't skip the necessary action.
I liked how this tavern brawl didn't have an obvious build from the word go like most of them, but considering my board game is much better than my deckbuilding game to begin with, I'm just glad it only took me two games to win.
That 1st game was so sweet!
I feel the main reason why the minions summoned off of the effects of other minions is because of Patron Warrior.
Also would making Warsong Commander's effect be "The first minion you play each turn gains charge.' make it viable? something similar to pint sized summoner.
No. They dont want the card yo give any card charge as it stops design space

Why there is no Skipperino Kripperino :(
My favourite thing to do was vs a control warrior with 50 hp. He got me down to 10 and then I did double molten, double power overwhelming and void terror. It was so fun to hit him for 51 damage.
I found Shaman to be very effective in this brawl. Although I only played a few games, windfury comboed with charge seemed really powerful.
This feels like it's a message from blizzard saying "sorry warrior"
the tavern brawl is super fun. i played a rogue combo deck with molten giants. pretty strong with brewmaster and shadowstep and a lot of card draw and removels.
I had a fair bit of success with shaman in this brawl. Turns out charged windfury minions are pretty damn good.
The Bolster Brawl has come. Praise the Brode
Kripp is right guys, if you want to win easily in these constructed brawls you need to play as early as possible (preferably right at launch).
Tavern Brawl: Yu-Gi-Oh Edition
7:04 where are all the Kripps? Ripperino Skipperino Kripperino
The addition of Sylvanas in my deck greatly improved my enjoyment of this TB. Especially after an opponent suicided his Feugen and Stalagg into my Ancient Shade and Eerie Statue only to get his still sleeping Thaddius sylvanas'd.
This week's Tavern Brawl: Molten + Molten + Echo of Medivh + Molten + Molten = gg rip
Windfury and charge seems like a descent combination. Looks like dust devil is pretty good in this brawl. Especially with brewmaster.
Brace yourselfs, Kripperinoes are coming.
Power Overwhelming Void Terror with Brann was fun.
I have to say a lot of these tavern brawl rules have been game modes that I suggest over a year ago.

i really was hoping that the charge and taunt effect would work on summoned minions too (using the same mechanics they used for the battlecry/deathrattle/murloc brawl). I wanted to see people run the old patron warrior combo deck.
Guy, The 1/1 Of Warlock for 4 Mana would be op, unkillable
Fab Mouls very good point. That might be the very reason they didn't do that
This is the first time that I saw Magnataur Alpha played in game, also I think this is the first time that I ever saw it anywhere in the game.
One word: Demons
Gz to free win
yup that was exactly my strategy as well.
+Alexander Forsman I played a lot of demons and also windfury minions with shaman, including ancient shades and stuff, lots of turn 4 lethals
I won 5 games with lock not passing 6 mana.
Demon, Magma and Ice Rager, Ancient Shade and Knife Juggler made it really easy
I played Bolster Warrior in this brawl. It did surprisingly well. Buffs op!
youthful brewmaster + molten giant several times= MADNESS
Haven't seen a single molten giant in this tavern brawl. Also, because statue is a waste of 200 dust, I just used ancient watcher instead. Druid innervate shenanigans are recommended imo

TFW you realize this tavern brawl is just like playing yugioh
Dragon paly with several changes was really good.
moltens and void terror is the scariest combo in this brawl
Interesting thoughts on the brawl, now I'm kinda sad that I dismissed it as a few days of aggro boredom...
This Brawl is still great for low MMR players. Most decks at lower MMRs are aggro or zoo decks
i really enjoyed Tomb Spider. its more chances for cobras and discovering has put me in a lot of better spots then bad ones this brawl.
Warsong Commander is finaly useful again! I had very good luck with a warrior deck.
Did you ban all kripperinos? Please tell me you did and they're not just in a kripperino congress or something!
Void terror in this brawl is awesome
Warsong commander OP, Warrior is love, warrior is life.
I love you guys!
+Loverino Kripperions i love you too KappaPride #fullhomo
i like more the windfury minions, often enough i cleared the board or had lethal because of the extra attack
This would be the one time Magma Ragerino would actually be good.
it was great
Divine shield paladin works well, and then blood knight for lethal.
The brawl was basically YU-GI-OH mode.
Hey Kripp, have you tried OTK shaman in this brawl? Running Alexstrasza with windfury with either the coin or thaurissan, or just molten with windfury and rockbiters, in my opinion it's hilarious and a lot of fun!

Leeroy Jenkis approve this :D
i was really bummed that i was missing the black from making a really good deck but the rng gods were looking down on me that day as they gave me one in the bonus pack
I actually had a lot of fun in this brawl without molten giants with my warlock deck. Power overwhelming + Void terror = OP.
warsong commander is INSANE in this tavern brawl
Skip - 7:00
Medivh mage with ice blocks and duplics aslo works pretty nice, ofc with moltens
7:06 to Skip the Kripp
that beard is getting gnarly
The second you said "Warsong Commander", I ranked up to 12.
30 damage at turn 5!
this deck is ridiculous! I have won 10 in a row now krippppppppp. thanks
I Also found Argent Squire to be pretty good in this brawl, since it can basically trade with 2x 1 health minions, for one mana
Rouge was pretty good in this brawl, what with shadowsteps and what not. Also, Void terror gets to eat molten giants then attack which is pretty cool.
i player warlock, playing 2 molten, brann with abusive+PO on one and then using void terror on that for some decent damage
7:05 Sorry I won't be late tomorrow ;)
i hope so
You had one job...
thx a lot saved my wife, my children and my dick

Hey Kripp, thanks for telling everyone how to make a deck that can stop me. I thought I had a really good paladin deck using uldaman and defenders. but after your video today, people are using cards that I just don't have. why can't you just wait an extra day or two when releasing tavern brawl videos.
I really liked rogue in this brawl! Van Cleef is pretty great, on turn 5 I did 24 damage with him, thanks to a prep and 2 shadowsteps
