This was our song and the first dance at our wedding. She's been gone 20 years now and every time I hear it I'm back dancing with her in my heart.

When a man truly loves a woman, there’s nothing deeper or more meaningful. We give 100% of ourselves.

This was originally done my Percy Sledge in the early sixties. Another good cover of this done by Home Free with Austin doing lead vocals. Definitely a need to watch. Michael Boltan has an awesome voice. Love your reaction!

Michael bolton has an amazing voice known by some as the king of sappy love songs many of his hits include, How am I supposed to live without you, Time love and tenderness, Said I loved you but I lied, Steel bars, Soul provider, How can we be lovers and Only a woman like you are some of his adult contemporary hits of the 90s

Michael Bolton used be in a Hard Rock/Metal band before he ventured out as a solo artist and switched to the Adult Contemporary/Blues Rock/Soul genre by the mid-1980s where his popularity exploded with numerous hits and awards that continued into the mid-1990s.
When he was younger, he baby sat Paula Abdul and her sister when they were kids in the early 1970s. Paula Abdul was a former Laker Girl cheerleader/dancer who moved on as a dance choreographer and then became a music artist by the mid-late 1980s. She choreographed a number of Janet Jackson's music videos. Janet Jackson, the baby sister to Michael who rivaled her bigger brother. Paula herself also blew up huge and had numerous Top 40 hits on various charts and won multiple awards. You more likely might have recognized her as one of the judges for the TV shows 'So You Think You Can Dance' and 'American Idol'.

Little girl, there is no comparing daddy's love to a man who has fallen in love with you. He has truly fallen into the the abyss of love that will totally compromise his senses, his rationale, and his dignity. Unfortunately in today's times very few women are fortunate enough to witness this behavior.

The original came out in 1966 by Percy Sledge. Bolton did this cover in the early 90's. But the newest version is by Home Free, and the lead singer is performed by Austin Brown who had his girlfriend at the time (now wife) in the studio as he was looking into the camera and at her as he personalized the song for her. The harmonies of Home Free are the best on the planet. Check out Home Free When a Man Loves a Woman.

Hello Mia, how are you doing today lovely lady!!
I love Michael's rendition but I also know that the orignal singer was a man by the name of Percy Sledge who originally sang that song in 1966. Michael Bolton with his beautiful vocals brought this beautiful classic song back to Life in 1991. I believe he honored Percy for that song and style of music of that era. Rest in peace Percy ❤. Yes I believe this song is very true depending on the depth of a mans love 💕

  • @petej7136
    @petej7136 Місяць тому +1

This was a rendition of a song originally from another singer named Percy Sledge. Micheal Bolton does it a lot, but is still legendary for his voice in his own right, "Time, Love and Tenderness" and "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You", are a couple of more classics from him.
And yes, when a man is really in love, it can be like that! 🥰

All I want to say is that the original is such an utter classic, one of those very old-fashioned recordings (even much older than this) that is just timeless. And my fave a cappella group Home Free recorded a stunning version of this song. In my view their rendition blows this one away. And even though it’s a cover of such an old tune, it’s good that someone revived it for today’s musical world.

Most men not all are opportunistic which is sad. However I will say as a man when you really love someone you may or may not be blind, yet your heart is always beating for that person. I always think about my love. Every time I leave for work in the early morning I miss her. We have been together since 2011 and I couldn't imagine my life without her and i know how lucky I am to have such a wonderful person.
I never write anything ever.. but when you sad you never felt that from a man I felt kinda sad and had to write something because it struck a chord 😢. You will know what it feels like if it happens and you deserve to be cherished and loved. Above all however keep being yourself and regardless you'll be happy and you'll be honest and being honest youll love yourself and others will love you for your honesty...love reflexes love ❤

I've been married for 10 years, but I was in a previous relationship for almost 13 and believe me when I say I can tell the difference. What he's singing about is true, but you have to remember that it goes both ways. My man will do anything for me, but I will do the same for him and he knows that. ❤❤ a true love relationship isn't just based on love or physical attraction. It also takes hard work, trust, and friendship. A lot of people today don't realize that.

    Some recommendations:
    1. Cheap Trick - The Flame (Just recently discovered this one. And I must say, the Vocalist has an amazing raspy voice, that can convey depth of emotions.)
    2. Depeche Mode - One Caress (If you're in the mood for a Gothic Ballad.)
    3. Breath - How Can I Fall (Jazz-Rock Ballad with a timeless charm.)
    4. Extreme - More than Words (One of the earliest Songs I learned on the Guitars. Still get the feels. A Classic.)
    5. Led Zeppelin - The Rain Song (If you want to be blown away in awe, this is the ballad for you.)

Mia I can confirm yes when I fell in love with my wife (now of 28 years and two grown kids later) I felt all those things. I would have spent my very last dime. I did think of her all the time and you may or may not want to believe it but I still do. Nothing is too good for my wife and my kids. You’ll find such love as you have a great base from your father. When it comes enjoy it I’m sure the woman’s side must be just as lovely as it’s lasted so long!

    It's true.
My wife is "restless" perhaps not the sort of wife for most- but beautiful nonetheless, but when I fell in love with her, she could do no wrong. I didn't see anything wrong. My family and friends could say nothing bad about her... no matter how true. I just won't hear it! I went into a rage if someone sad anything negative about her. 😢
I was still respectful towards my parents, but I told them in no uncertain terms, I don't want to hear it, whenever they wanted to give me advice.
I dumped most of my friends after I thought- they "badmouthed" her, and they were "bad news" 😢
    I, was, a fool.
We're stll together after 23 years and perhaps it's not gunna last. I still love her and I am sure she does me, but it's tough.
Problem now is... my son is in love - like I was and doing the same. His girlfriend is "okay" I suppose, but my wife really doesn't like her and I'm suspicious of her. She's also got some little habits and things that are not acceptable and she manipulates him. She's also got a big secret that'll destry him, but she'll have to tell him sometime, I guess.
Of course... just like his dad- he won't hear any of it! He's not disrespectful, but we cannot talk sense into him.
I feel so bad for him, cause I know what he's going to have to face with his girlfriend- including unimaginable heartbreak(his mom doesn't want to show him the evidence.. I know it's to spare him, but it's wrong to withold it from him), pain and the depths of despair sometimes, but he's a grown man, and they are in love. They need to find their own way, I suppose.
I just hope she doesn't drive my boy insane...
    He's my very own bl00d.

      @domainmojo2162 25 днів тому

To give you an idea of how I felt when I was in love like that(never been in love like that before or hence)..
I felt "light"- ie: like I had no problems. Everyday felt "magical'. I felt I could achieve anything. I felt special. I was full of energy. I never had that much energy since then. I was extremely, highly motivated. I was proud.
But the most important part, is that you are mesmerized by this beautiful, "soft", "fragile" magical "creature", with the most beautiful small and expressive eyes. So different to what you are used to in life(men treat each other, and are treated- with not a lot of love)
You have found what you were looking for all your life.
You just want to express your love and to "satifsy" it- and the best form of this (to you), is to be intimate... all the time! 😀
And here your problems start... the beginning of reality 😀
      It lasted about 1-2 Years.
I read a lot and since then, I have come to the conclusion that the average timespan for "being in love" is 1-2 years. It is all a mechanism to ensure procreation - at all times, starting in prehistoric times. It isn't really this magical, soul-mate kind of a thing that society deludes ourselves with.
Those are just higher ideas we project onto these primal urges.
(the religious aspect and the command to marry, is from God- not man, so that we can still procreate, but in an orderly fashion that eliminates a lot of "problems" and genetic/health issues, and to produce "good", well-adjusted/well-mannered offspring)
This 1-2 year period, faciliates, or affords just enough time for a man and woman to "devour" each other, produce offspring- and for the man to protect the baby when it is in it's most helpless state. (and the woman, who would also be at her most vulnerable- having a newborn infant to look after)
The "being in love" part being the overwhelming motivation for the man to protect the woman - the woman to get them to be alone for a time(hence the man usually being "removed from" or ditching his other relations, and wanting to now move out of the "house"), so's they can produce offspring- trying as many times as they can- in privacy.
The man also provides the means for "entertainment" in between the "clapping" - like taking her out, doing things with her, etc... which keeps the woman "in love" and without care and worries.
That is why when you are in love like that- there's "clapping of cheeks", 24/7, 369. 😀
This ensures that there will be offspring. All this is done subconsciously- they don't know what the aim of all this is- they think they are each other's "soulmate"! 😀
(but it's all for one purpose- Procreation. "Mother Nature" is some cold-hearted 8*tch! 😀)
The 2nd year - after the child has been born(it takes 9 months for it to be born and the previous 3 months before that, is "cheek-clapping" time.)
Now, the "in love" bit starts to get less intense. Why? The woman now has to attend to the new-born and there isn't as much time to "clap" anymore.
The man- still in love, he "hangs around", and this faciliates/ensures that the woman and new-born is protected and remains fed, cause the father is around. As the man is still in love, he looks after his woman- defends her- or is inclined to, he feeds her, provides the means for clothing, housing etc.. , and she in turn, also looks after the child with all that the man provides.
Year 3... the man is not in love anymore, and his focus has shifted to something else... or someone else. The child is now 2 years old and speaks, and in a state where the woman is free again... so they each go their own way. (or if they are religious, the man asks the woman to get married, so that he can rear his offspring in his likeness. This is now where "Love" comes in - to carry/support each other through this life, and not "being in love". It starts with a promise to never forsake one another)
If you think about it all- that's actually what all this "in love" business, amounts to: Procreation!

Well, I won't speak for every man. But the few times in my life that I have been in love I did some crazy s***in the name of it. The thing about love songs though, is that they are not very aptly named. More times than not they're songs about unrequited love with some pretty sad undertones. They're usually more "why won't you love me?"songs.

Love songs will wear a person down to the core unless you are some kind of mental case. We all want to be loved (especially for women too I would say) It's built inside us. I have mentioned the song 'Andas En Mi Cabeza' by Chino Y Nacho ft. Daddy Yankee. The song has 1.8 bill views partially because it is international but also because of the message too I believe. The music vid is about being in love and proposing to the one you love. It romanticizes the notion especially if that's what one really seeks. It made me cry actually and as a man I'm not ashamed to say that. If you want a love song in Spainish (you dont need to understand the words the video is enough to understand) you should check out that song. Happy love song hunting Mia(if that's what you really want)💜

Yep, it's true. Happy and sad about that because if the woman is good, both lifes could be amazing, but if the woman is bad...we have our life destroyed. I did.

I'm not sure who originally sang this song, but I know that this is a cover. If you're going to react to some slower songs, Prince has a few you might enjoy. "The Beautiful Ones", "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World", and "Purple Rain" are worth checking out. Nice reaction. I'm from Minnesota. More Prince.

This isn't originally a Michael Bolton song - Percy Sledge's original is pretty darned good. But Otis Redding "Try a Little Tenderness" is a lot more fun.

I grew up listening to Michael Bolton. BTW, this is not the original. The original is even older than this. I listen to all kinds of music from rap to rock to country. Hell, I even listen to New Kids on the Block and Milli Vanilli. What Michael Sang about is true. You should listen to the Righteous Brothers, Unchained Melody. It is very good, and it is quite old. That song made a comeback when it was a soundtrack for the movie, Ghost, staring Patrick Swayze.

Holding Back The Years " by Simply Red the vocalist Mick Hucknall has one of the best voices ever.. you'll see for yourself..and the other is " Fade Into You " by Mazzy Star and their vocalist Hope Sandoval who is from my hometown of East Los Angeles she's absolutely gorgeous and her voice is so haunting and angelic at the same time...two iconic songs..and ok..since no one I seen has detected them to you I will..hope you like them...trust me i know you will..take care..🙏

Hi Mia,have you ever heard of the capella group called, home free? They do many genres of music. Please give them a listen to. You can pick any of their songs. I just saw you listen to Michael Bolton, when a man loves a woman. Home free did a cover of this song. Amazing. If you do listen to them, thanks in advance.

I suggested several reactions ago that you react to this song. But I want it the original artist Percy Sledge you to react to. I’d like Michael Bolton but I’m tired of white artist getting credit for songs that black artist created first!😍🎶
