- The V60 Cross Country is Volvos's classic wagon. On the outside you will discover full LED lighting, optional wheels and roof rails. I have a 2022 V60. Outstanding build quality, comfort, and handling. The Subaru is not in the same league, no matter how nice it is. Would def buy it again.
I have a 2024 XC60 B5 Ultimate Dark with 21” wheels and love it! Great fit and finish, quality materials, nice drive and I love the interior. The leather is soft and smells amazing.
V60 Cross Country is a great wagon. Got my 2017 in 2020 and with 5 years driving it, I especially love its versatility and comfort.
The Volvo looks really good. Thanks for showcasing this sometimes overlooked underappreciated brand. This is a good choice for those who want to be outside the BMW or Audi club. I find Volvo to be an interesting and quality brand that still manages to be unique these days.

I would say the V60’s true competition is the Audi A4 Allroad, and the V90 is the true competition to the A6 Allroad and the Mercedes Benz e class wagon too
Yeah, pretty obvious miss on this. Also when talking about the engine he was making a comparison to the A6 Allroad, which has a 3.0 V6 turbo. Mentions the 4 cylinder in both the Volvo and Subaru Outback, then says “same thing with the Audi.” Huh?
exactly, also I am not sure if volvo is the best choice if you use the vehicle in long term period...
I had a 2020 V90 Cross Country, which I loved. I now have a 2023 S90, which is great. Super plush and comfy, but there’s just something about a wagon that I miss. I got so many compliments on it too!

Love me some wagons! I really miss the Magnum SRT8 run. This Volvo looks great. Recognizable, sleek, modern and slightly aggressive. A very attractive wagon. Killer video Raiti's Ride team!
As someone who was born in 1972, and whom is the oldest of 3 boys, I will say that I never had to worry about the center rear seat as it was always the youngest child that had to sit “on the hump”….

This is a sleeper. A good friend has this. It stays planted and is peppy. Quiet cabin. The B&W in that is PHENOMENAL. Even better than the ELS 3D. Absolutely destroys the Subaru and competes well with the Krauts
If they wanna make this like the wagons when I was growing up, it needs a back facing third row with ashtrays in the armrests! But seriously, Volvo's wagon game is on point.
I'm glad to see Joe use his turn signals during the driving segment. I bet he didn't know Volvo recorded the sound of a Swedish fir tree branch being snapped to create the turn signal sound. Volvo fun fact of the day.

Literally one the best side view Driver Seat sporty comfortability I've seen. The seat is low, back of seat slanted perfectly and steering wheel high and not cramping your knees....not to mention that door design is so sleek and premium it's a design language of its own. Ford knows a good brand. Just think Ford owned Volvo and Mazda and look how far those brand have come and their successful longevity. Yes. Better than a BMW.

Volovo,s styling inside and out is still beautiful. It’s really a shame that Volvo never offered an upgraded engine over the 4cyl. Some of thes best Volvo ever built had 5 cylinder turbo engines. This would hav been amazing in package like this. By the Joe when you sit in the rear can you adjust the front seat to your setting then sit behind yourself so folks can get a good idea of the real room that exists from behind. Thanks
Paid off my 2019 Forester - keeping it in the family, and I’ll miss that 1.3% rate!; Love it, but considering a Volvo lease when the rates improve. Great review as always!

Just purchased a 2023 Volvo V60 B5 Ultimate and I love it so far. Agreed with other commenters that Subaru and other similar brands are NOT in the same class. Volvo's offer the lowest maintenance costs of the luxury brand class and also offer great reliability. Some people say the infotainment system is confusing but I found it to be relatively seamless and easy to use. I do wish the car had a USB charging port and the center counsel lid is a little hard on the elbow but those are my only complaints so far. The sound system is incredible, sound dampening materials make the car whisper quiet and I'm excited to see how this car handles in the snow. It's quick, responsive and handling is very good. I drove the Audi A4 and the car lacked headroom and the interior was not nearly as refined as Volvo. Maintenance costs are also typically higher on BMW and Audi as well which was another considering factor in my purchase.
Thanks for the review Joe and the filming Steve - got myself one! The Outback doesn't match the Scandi design and polish - the fully integrated infotainment screen with nothing sticking out above the dash is pure style. There's only one engine choice / model here in Oz now and sadly I'll have to add the tow bar (hitch) as an aftermarket.
Ive had the Polestar version for 4 years, fantastic car and the stereo is amazing. It is very fast...

The Volvo V60 Cross Country is not comparable to the Audi A6 Allroad, but rather to the Audi A4 Allroad. The Audi A6 is in the same league as the Volvo V90 Cross Country.

The technology in the Volvo models is far superior to most anything else around. For everyone that thinks they need to dig into the infotainment system to change settings is wrong. The car has google assistant and almost everything in the car can be voice changed. Joe never mentions that feature... You never really have to touch the screen, and it's pretty accurate when engaged by voice. The models of its competition with the info screens that stick up above the dashboard line are way outdated and look it....the Volvo interiors are sleek and modern..and yes I Own the XC60....just my opinion...

Have had 4 outback’s and yea it’s a decent vehicle but bored of them. Drove the V60XC Ultimate today and definitely upscale. Great ride and handling.
I might spend 10k more for the Volvo over an Outback if I wasn't going to be taking it off-road too much.
I'm not really into Wagons, but the Audi A6 and this one seem nice.

The name's longer than the car itself! If I were in the market for a wagon, this would be on my short list.
And what a short list it must be (I wish we got more wagons in the states)
My short list was literally the Outback vs V60CC.
I ended up with the CC, after watching unbiased AWD slip test videos. And of course Volvos have the thickest B-pillars in the market.
German wagons were purposely off my radar.
But the V90CC is actually closer to the size of the Outback.

Let's be honest…wagons rule! If you like to drive, need space and are a car geek lower is always going to be better. There are a ton of fast SUVs driven but lunatics across the land, but they'll never corner like a car. Just my 2¢:)

Problem with the Volvo is that it’s exactly the same design and they don’t invest in new tech and car design. The V90 feels like it’s been around 7-8 years
A car company that is obsessed with safety should have more PHYSICAL controls. In-screen menus for HVAC is unacceptable. 👈👈

It's probably made in Belgium or Sweden. But it doesn't matter. Quality is the same and some think the Chinese built Volvos are the best built. But they are all built to Volvo specifications.
247 hp and 27 mpg combined? who the hell would buy this powertrain? its like their living a decade behind of companies like toyota and honda.
