It's not a bad thing. If it's low, that means Niners have a chance to pay Aiyuk and whoever else needs a contract extension
Actually, makes signing BA even easier since this extension drops CMC's cap number for this year
The 49ers are thankful for McCaffrey. He makes enough room for Aiyuik to get his money!!
Aiyuk aint getting 30 mil
@christiansoldier77 nope but somewhere around that good.
He's gonna be set for life doing local car dealer commercials
CMC can be considered a slot wr as well. He lines up a ton in the slot.
He'd be a starting slot WR on more than half the teams in the league. And WR1 on a handful.
He still underpaid
No he isnt he is a 27 year old rb
@@christiansoldier77doesn’t matter, he gave them 2000 yards and 20 touchdowns. It’s low
@@Ivypoison23 his stats isn't the issue its his position. RB don't have high value
@@christiansoldier77so true. This is a one off.
@@Ivypoison23 he ain't getting anymore outta us lol
Contracts in the NFL have little to do with game value.
In a pickup game, he'd be the first guy I picked. I'm a Dolphins fan.
how about football fantasy?
@@user-zc3fs3gg8j I stopped playing FF 2-4 years ago. It was ruining the games for me.
They should've made it 20/year, it's not a lot more but sounds bigger. Maybe if they didn't have to give Aiyuk an extension they could've done that but I guess they're saving every penny.
CMC had years left, with zero guaranteed dollars, which is a bad idea for an RB, so they had to rework that contract.
When you look at CMC, he's a lot more than an RB. They line him up as a WR and move Deebo to the backfield. If other RBs are as versatile and can ran routes like CMC does, they too could get paid. They just need to get 2K scrimmage yards, 20+ TDs and take their offense up a level like he did with the 49ers.
Faithful wins it 2025! Promise that
This seems like a one off. CMC was the best player in the NFL Last year.
Stop it!
Congratulations 🎊 Mr Christian ❤😊😊😊
The low-balling of the RB market is crazy when you consider how many hits they take and how short their careers can be. TEs are also underpaid compared to WRs... when you had Travis Kelce leading the whole league for yards, yet didn't crack $10m until a year or two ago.
Yeah the position disparity is wild. You're telling me a WR is worth multiple CMCs? It's nuts.
Maybe a little underpaid....but lets's get real. $38 mil is a huge chunk of change.
Why is everyone trying to spend Jed's money???
What are you expecting?? They trying to keep as much as they can christian knows this
The Niners are smart for not over paying him. They know his body is about to break down. They will use this guy up and cut him loose.
You can say that to all running backs. Average career is about 5 years.
I think the Deal includes 1k for every snap he’s on field, too.
Purdy and CMC supercharged this offense. He is underpaid but he is also a WR and RB which means he will be paid more than other RBs I am sure some will come along and get there but right now no RB is in the same tier as CMC imo.
I’m happy we get to keep him for a little while longer, but our window is closing so we need to win this within these next two seasons.
Underpaid
It's just a demonstrated fact that you don't need an elite RB to win a super bowls. Moreover, they get hurt alot and wear out quickly. It's just not worth it to sink alot of money into the RB position. I'm not saying it's fair but it just makes good business sense.
Especially Niners running backs. They are hurt more often than not.
Sounds like a steal for us rich
I am supposed to feel sorry for a guy who is making 20 million plus a season come on man
He's well compensated
Well yeah they have one of the top rosters in the league, can't pay everybody top of market
He’s a team player, rather take a good amount than a ridiculous amount and get traded to a team who doesn’t know how to utilize him.
I would rather pay CMC $30+ a year than ANY wr!!
9th Season RB. I have doubts.
Nope nobody does what he does
Sounds low, only because other players are paid too much. It's all relative. WRs had a MASSIVE jump in pay scale over the past 5 years or so, it's not even funny. And of course our friends the QBs who even mid QBs like Daniel Jones getting 40M/year contracts.
I think your are just scared for week 1 🤣
The Niners are not extending Aiyuk that’s for sure
Yeah they are.
It's going to happen.
Wrong
Not for JJ money.
Nobody is going to get paid close to CMC. Even Saquan and Henry are not as valuable or worth the money
he had a lousy rigjht side to run behind too
Tell your boy to stop talking! He knows nothing. Just just like frank gore….stop
Run-CMC is a boss, with the extremely hard work stacked up on his familial legacy ... Yet, he is trapped in the RB perception: the powers that be have imprinted their market value upon a position that has always done the heavy lifting; from Walter Payton on, the NFL cognoscenti has downplayed the value of a transcendent running back ... What they fervently desired is to use them up, then pay pennies on the dollar; why do you truly think Barry Sanders left early? Or Marcus Allen left the Raiders? Or Adrian Peterson left the Vikings shortly after that miraculous comeback? Or DeMarco Murray being low balled after running the Cowboys back into prominence? ... Or NE, with Corey Dillion? ... They will not give Run-CMC his value to the Niners, no matter how extraordinary he is ... And to cap it off: how about Jim Brown? You have seen the film ... That man got out in his prime, and nobody could say he wasn't the baddest man on the planet ... but they were not going to pay him his value - welcome to the NFL(or, Not For Long)
RBs arent that valuable deal with it
despite getting that [ay raise the 49ers saved an extra 8m of cap space this year.....they have about 35 in cap space right now
Dear Lord Jesus
"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior"
I love you all and just want to spread the gospel everywhere i can so souls are saved in Jesus name i pray amen!
It is low but RBs are more injury prone than any other offensive position. Can’t pay them 30 a year
Imagine saying he went to a superbowl team and supercharged them and they lost in the superbowl again wasn’t a difference 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ he’s mvp on a team that went to a superbowl wit mostert and jimmy g 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ love cmac but damn quit fuckin reaching nfc is the jv league
Why didn't CMC score on the opening drive in the Super Bowl? That's right, he fumbled the ball away inside the 30! Id say he is getting more than enough bread
The Panthers releasing him just might be the biggest f-up in NFL history.
Then tell the jets to pay Breece 30 mil…
Mind your business
Rich Eisen is overpaid.
