Does someone see a pattern here? @QHarlan they just added John Runyan Jr and Jermaine Eluemunor in free agency. O-Line will be better at least. Maybe DJ finally gets some time back there so we can see what he's really got. This is going to be the best O-Line he has played with yet.

I partially agree with you. Yes, the O-line is a major factor in the Giants' success the season, if not the most important one. But another thing that people miss from last season is that the play calling was abysmally conservative when DJ was in. Either Kafka wasn't confident in himself, his QB, or both.

They started out showing how they can get production by hiding the weaknesses of Jones and Barkley. After sneaking out a good record and the QB and RB payment noise started they called the games straight and basic to expose reality and the losing streak started. What is a “successful” season for the giants this year? Certainly not a deep playoff run, let’s be realistic. If they can get 7 wins and just show some stability on offense I’d call that a success. They have plenty of cap space and draft picks to improve going forward.

I think o line has improved better skill players. Defense has been solid, if 1 player on offense and Defense steps and not our stars,players you don't expect similar to 2011 when jpp and Cruz made big jumps
The Giants need to score more than 21pts a game and I think they will IF the O line is improved and gives Daniel Jones time to throw. People need to realize they are going to be a passing team this year throwing deep to Nabers Hyatt Wan'dale and Slayton. The defense up front will be good but the secondary looks raggedy which could be a problem that's why I say they must score more than 21pts to 24 pts.
Dak is currently 2-5 in the playoffs and despite what happens this season or next season, he is poised to make like 60 million + a year whether he stays with Dallas or not. Can't throw a deep ball when you have less than 2 seconds to throw the football. Giants gave up 85 SACKS last year (2nd most all time) with practice squad level line men.
They didn't talk at all about the 1 thing most likely to hold this team back from being decent... the same thing that has held them back for the last decade... the offensive line. The line HAS to improve or it won't make any difference how great Nabers is or how much Hyatt improves or whether Daniel Jones returns to form or any of that... Evan Neal has to improve, their free agents have to be better that what they had, Thomas has to stay healthy... otherwise it makes zero difference who is QB.
