I just found this channel and I’m obsessed 😩 I’m not even a collector (I still have my old Julie though ^_^) I just love watching y’all being yourselves~~~ pls never stop being passionate about your interests 💕
I love the DC store! It’s my local store, though it’s still a good two hours away. I haven’t been since before Covid, so it was fun to see this video. I’ve done the hotel upgrade before. The little foldout bed you get is so cute! I love mine. As far as the stores I’ve been to, I’ve been to DC, NYC (original location), Chicago (original location), Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Orlando, and Charlotte.
I love this!!! It also makes me sad as it reminds me of my old local AG store that was also inside a mall that I used to visit all the time. Sadly it closed and I still cry so many good memories
Thanks for sharing your doll adventures with us! I’m a guy as well and love American Girl dolls. I have 15 18 in dolls (10 are AG) and tons of accessories and playsets. I was always afraid of being judged going to the AG store and doing a cafe experience. I follow a lot of AG UA-camrs both kids and adults and all of them are women. Your channel is giving me the confident to beat societal norms and just be myself. Keep at it!
I want to go to the American girl doll store as a guy myself specifically the cafe but I know I’m just gonna get so many looks that I won’t even be able to eat. It’s sad that I can’t feel comfortable just because I’m a guy and people are so judgmental
I remember when the DC store opened. I was so excited because it would be the closest store to me. That same year my parents took me there and got me my first 18in doll for my birthday
DC is my local store. I was there about a week before you went, so the displays were the same. I have been to the old NYC location and I was in the new NYC location in Dec 2019. Definitely like the old store more. Calling is a Sears store is so accurate. I was disappointed by the store, especially after seeing the old store. I really like DC, it isn’t too large or too small like the KC or Scottsdale stores were. Most of the staff there are very friendly and adult collector friendly. Of course, there are a few exceptions, but that’s always the case. As I said, I’ve been to the old and new NYC stores, the DC store, the KC store, Scottsdale and Seattle stores. We drove past the Orlando store in Jan 2020, but didn’t have time to stop.
Great video! The DC store was the first AG store I went to and I loved it! I really appreciate the layout and the smaller bistro. I agree with you. I don’t like the NY cafe in the basement. I also don’t like how they threw the historical dolls down there either. Makes me feel like they are castoffs and not important.
HI Kris! its Kim here. so glad you guys had a great time at Tysons AG in DC. Sorry we missed you, We have to get together soon. Thanks for sharing your DC experience with us :)
The thing I really like about this video is that it reminds everyone that anyone could play with dolls 😁
Yea but there will always be judgmental people who will quickly judge without even knowing you
It’s so nice seeing someone my age also still obsessed w AG dolls
What a fun trip. I enjoyed seeing the store and cafe
