I didn't know what was going on We tried to buy stuff today and it wasn't accessible at all. I ended up crying it was so unaccessible extra pages in between adding to the cart and the page was glitching so bad.. I couldn't get into the VIP group. It was so exclusive. I'll bet the stuff ends up on Mercari marked way up. Hurt so much that it wasn't disability accessible at all. It hurt a lot.

What people are missing is that yes dolls are just vinyl, but their stories are not. We vote with our wallet and supporting more ceos that are Trump supporters is just going to bring more collabs and stories that don’t evoke our beliefs. Plus we are already heading into an oligarchy, so if I can keep my money out of maga agenda CEO’s hands I will. And let me be clear this is not hate on republicans, because at one point we used to be able to get along and see each other’s beliefs better in the two party system. However Trump has created an aggression in this country that makes that no longer the case. This is a trump problem. And for the the ceo to block and not address these concerns just tells me that she is not willing to listen. And I don’t know about anyone else but we should all be trying to get back to listening to each other. 💙💛

People who say that AG shouldn't be political have obviously never read the books. We live in a capitalist society where everything has political implications or ramifications. I'd like to address the comments about "getting political". Once upon a time American Girl or Pleasant Company wasn't just about dolls. It wasn't about the collabs or even the consumerism. Though it may sound like I am romanticizing a brand and capitalism the fact is for those of us who grew up in the 80s and 90s the books were the dolls, they fleshed out those characters. We learned the importance of politics. It was political views that enslaved Addy's Walker's family and it was political views that helped pave her road to freedom. Samantha Parkington took a stand for child labor laws, expressing political concerns of her day. Kirstin Larson was an immigrant who couldn't speak English, Molly McIntire's Dad was fighting in a war that began over the politics of a dictator. What side of social justice you are on is politics and it matters. No one is telling you what to buy or not. This collab tugs at my AG heart strings. It is a good conversation to have. I am glad this video was made because in all honesty I saw it too and when we ignore what we see we're just blind.

Litterally in f book and got called breaking the negative rules for merely stating I’m not supporting them. Others came in talked about politics. One lady said she didn’t want to know the drama as AG is her escape… i still feel like we should be educated.

I decided not to purchase any Posh Peanut products due to their political affiliations and the founder’s absolutely disgusting positions with regard to indigenous culture. I’m grateful that American Girl will no longer be carrying the line on their website (per PP comment on Insta) none of my doll friends will be purchasing either.

I heard that too I had my eye on a few things that now will not be buying. I rather be dead in a ditch then buy anything from anyone whom supports Sweet Potato Hitler or anything he stands for.

A lot of people have a hard time dissociating a good product from the companies or creator. Just because you buy a book, doesn't mean you agree with the author's political beliefs. Just because your favorite movie is Coraline, does that mean you are okay with SA because of the man who wrote it? NOPE. My personal take is if I want something and can afford it, I'll buy it. It's not that deep to me. If I get Molly pajamas for my birthday you ain't gonna see me complain lol. And honestly, it seems to me like the creator of posh peanut is mostly getting backlash for being republican, as well using the word indian. Which is very outdated, but honestly most people I know still use that word because they don't engulf themselves in the internet and were taught that terminology in school. I myself was taught it too. Are they racist? No. Just not properly educated. But the whole "I'm not buying from this collection because she's republican!" screams cancel culture and intolerance, which is very toxic. This hurts American Girl as well. Trying to shut down the politics people are bringing into this is probably the only way a company can stay standing nowadays. If Mattel is seen leaning either way, left or right, they'll lose a part of their consumers. There's a reason why they are considered publicly neutral. Honestly, this is something a lot of people like to forget about or ignore. You can't say everyone can have their own opinion, then turn around and say "you can't have that opinion because you're wrong." I seriously miss the days when this community was just about dolls. Idk why it has to be that deep.

thanks for making this video! i usually expect very little from companies but AG is often praised for doing so much research and work with the cultures they are representing so I really wish they would not throw those values away for collabs/money. maybe they did not know and hopefully if people are vocal enough they will do better in the future.

This collab is disappointing on so many levels, from both companies. AG obviously didn’t care about PP’s ethics and just wanted something they thought would be a quick cash grab. Now trying to wash their hands of it by not releasing on their site. You also can’t whitewash your POC characters and expect people not to have feelings about it. And $88 for a thin pair of bamboo pjs is pretty ridiculous- especially because while bamboo is sustainable, the fabric manufacturing process is not. It would need to be much more expensive in order to actually be sustainable. It is greenwashing. I’m glad I’m not spending a single cent on this release.

Thank you so much for posting this. I have been trying to tell other collectors about this that aren’t on Reddit or on Instagram and they didn’t believe me. I also wanted to point out that the images of addy and Josefina especially on the textile pieces appear to be white washed. Very bad form. Also, the dishes are melamine (plasticware) not stoneware, just fyi.
