    Wish you were a little more specific with some of the locations. But great video nonetheless. Heres a quick summary along with more specifics about the hill locations.
    0:20 Bayview - Starts from Pottery Rd up to Moore Ave (1.5km, 3.9%) | C Tier
    1:04 Pottery Rd - The entire road (Start from Bayview, 410m at 8.9%, spike at 12%+) | C Tier
    1:25 Beechwood - Starts at Beechwood Dr and Lower Don Recreation Trail (43.69608, -79.35455) up to O'Connor Dr (510m at 6.8% with longer 12%+ spike) | C Tier
    1:47 Crestview - Starts at the west end of Lawrence Ave (43.73078, -79.37792) up to Park Lane Circle (460m, 8.8% with sustained 13-16% section) | B Tier
    2:17 Redway Rd - Starts from 43.69818, -79.35598 up to 43.69855, -79.35988 (accessible via Redway rd, 300m at 13.1%) | B Tier
    2:54 Brimley Rd (Bluffs) - Starts at Bluffers Pk Rd up to Barkdene Hills (1.31km at 6.6%, starts at 15%) | A Tier
    3:45 Gates Gully - Starts at 43.72714, -79.21382 up to Bellehaven Crescent (Gravel Path, 1km at 8.8%, spikes at 20%+) | A Tier
    4:17 Twyn Rivers - Starts at 43.81517, -79.14851 up to Sheppard Ave E (Total 2km, Sustained 20%+ for 330m after grated bridge, 30% spike) | B Tier
    5:00 Spanish Hill - The entirety of Ellis Park Rd (To my understanding, the "fake switchback" is Olympus Ave which is 7.9% over 420m, Ellis Park Rd is at least 10%+) | C Tier
    5:36 Everything Else - D Tier

      @1234567895182 thanks for putting in the work. I figured it's a quick Google if you haven't heard of the climb, but appreciate that many don't think to do so.

    From looking around Twyn River is the steepest road in Toronto. Another short spiky hill is the entrance into Colonel Danforth only 100-200m but hits 22% . There is also a similar decent to the lake at/near Guild Inn. If you want a chill gravel climb the old landfill near the Toronto Zoo is great and you can see downtown from the top.

    Not sure of the name, but the semi-paved road up from Scarborough Heights Park is always killer. Probably under 500m, but with the steep top and washout it's a traction nightmare. I'm always psyched if I make it up without slipping. Maybe the Blake's Scene one listed below? I guess when there is no other title, the Strava segment name wins, eh?t

    There are some lovely climbs in Hamilton/Burlington between the lake and escarpment. It's a 140-160km round trip ride from Toronto. With the accumulated fatigue, i find myself regretting my life choices by the time I've worked my way back to Mississauga.

    Nice one! I'm west end so my search for hills has me limited to the areas west of high park and east of the humber. The longest and most sustained climb would be on Scarlette headed south.
    I need to try to head east more this coming season. There are a couple on your list that I haven't tried.

      I've been trying to work out a route with the most elevation I can pack into something around 40-45kms from where I live and so far I'm at just over 400m...
      I'd love to know if you guys have discovered any local routes that really pack in the climbs! (so not just individual roads, but a full circuit-without going up and down the same hill over and over)

      @@afptoronto1 Closest I have is doing loops around the Bayview Extension. Up Beechwood, Down Pottery, Up Bayview, Down Beechwood, Up Pottery - if you have the gravel tires on, you can add the Mud Creek/Beltline hill to the mix.

      @cycleyyz  3 роки тому

    I've only had a bike for 2 summers but I'm bummed you have what I considered super hard stuff as C. I think A and S would give me a heart attack and thats not a joke.
    If you also grew up in Scarborugh are you familiar with the hill to the water next to Rosetta Mclain gardens by Kingston and Birchmount or the loop near the bottom of Queen around fallingbrook? Not long but I've always thought they were super steep.

    • @cycleyyz
      @cycleyyz  3 роки тому

      Trust me, "C" isn't easy - even "D" wouldn't be. The problem is that we just don't have many big hills relative to properly alpine areas. I am familiar with the climb by Rosetta (has a yellow gate) but I didn't include it here - it is worthy of it though. Pretty sure it hits 18% just like Redway.
