Question: What effect does pH have on cancer cells? The KISS answer is cancer cells thrive in an acidic environment while in a alkaline environment they die. Next point, since you teach the optimum body pH is 7.34 to 7.45. What is the pH of the standard American diet? (SAD) The simple answer is less than your pH of 7.34 aka acid. So the SAD diet favors an environment for cancer to live and thrive. Hence why not change your SAD diet to be alkaline so cancer cells die? I would appreciate your unbiased video explanation citing best double-blind trials with references. Start with KISS details like Otto Warberg's discovered in the 1920s that cancer tumors consume tremendous amounts of sugar glucose relative to most non-transformed normal tissues, and that the majority of glucose consumed by tumors (4x) is fermented to lactate, rather than oxidized in pathways that require respiration. What I'm hoping you clearly decide to show (KISS) is by selecting a better-than-a-2024-SAD diet (nutrition package labels speak volumes) you can raise your pH (>7.45) to be alkaline and mitigate cancer cell growth by supporting repair to your new healthy immune system to check and kill cancer cells. Try to keep it simple science and avoid the medical and pharmacy industry money grabs for huge profits and patents etc What are good diets? Mediterranean? Ketogenic? Vegan? Paleo? intermittent fasting? THANK YOU!

My takeaway from these related videos is that gluconeogenesis can produce enough glucose such that you do not need any external carbohydrates in your diet?

I gave up carbs 2 years 2 months ago. (but 20g/day slips in as I eat leafy greens, a few berries, some kefir). Loads of people tell me I cannot survive like that. But here I am, cured of prediabetes, arthritis, fatty liver, and 35kg lighter. I eat red meat every day, fried in butter. Dessert is cream with egg yolks stirred in, coconut oil, nut butter etc. Or cheese, lovely cheese. My CGM flatlines after most of my meals. I'm not adding significant glucose to my blood. My blood glucose remains steady between about 5.2 and about 6.5mmol/L, even after large meals, or during 20 hours time restricted eating/fasting. (before going keto I rollercoasted!)

Would be great if you gave a final summary or conclusion in layman terms. For example, “the most effective way to …..is through …..(feeding/fasting)…so that the body….”

I appreciate this point, but our videos are not designed to tell people how to do anything. This video is about the physiology of fasting - ie biochemistry and metabolism.

Proves beyond any doubt that the body only requires about 5g of glucose at any given time throughout our lives. Humans consume 50 to 70 times that amount daily in total conservatively speaking. Why? when carbs are all non essential? Let our body make it's own glucose, which it does perfectly through gluconeogenesis and instead consume fats and proteins so we rely on ketones instead. Our preferred fuel source. Dr T thinks glucose is our preferred fuel. Please cite a single study clearly showing the human brain preferring glucose over ketones. Ketones are more efficient and use less oxygen resulting in less ROS produced and ultimately less oxidative stress. ketones can bypass the metabolic deficits associated with alzheimers disease and other neurological conditions and provide an alternative energy source, potentially improving cognitive function and reducing symptoms. Pre humans and human up until the agricultural revolution primarily ate meat and the associated fat of mainly large ruminants for 4 mill years. The carnivore diet is our most species appropriate and species specific diet.

5g of glucose at any given time it's not 5g used a day. And don't compare stressful life of today with a cave mans life.

Ketone bodies are acidic. Accumulation of ketones makes the blood more acidic than normal. Our enzymes will denature since the pH level is not optimal, so we can’t rely on ketones long term. Idk.
