The rain can be challenging, but your tarp setup looks like it could handle anything. I love how you always manage to find a way to make your camp life comfortable, even in harsh conditions. Keep it up!😀🍀
Another Saturday started off with my favorite UA-cam channel sharing a great video of peace and tranquility to a planet full of turmoil and strife. You are a bastion of sanity in a crazy world, my friend! Enjoy your time with your family, we will be waiting patiently for your return!
Really interesting how you used that fallen tree as the frame of your shelter. 😊 It demonstrated how that tree frame could be quickly converted into something so useful and strong. ⛺️ Thanks for the great videos!
I know, it was like this tree just knew Swed was coming along to make it into a shelter! I'm wondering about the size of the tarp, it looked bigger than a 10 X 10?
Hello friend. Thank you for sharing this beautiful video with us. The kuksa carving was a really good job. In the comments of the previous video, I saw that a friend recommended burning coffee to protect against insects. I tried it at the camp I went to this week. It seemed to work for me. Some coffee on a stone. I lit it. It is effective, but it fades away after a while. It may be more effective if it is placed in a metal container and left over the fire. Greetings.
Have a great time out there, and stay safe! Your 3-year old will grow up with a lifelong enjoyment of the backcountry, with the skills learned from you. I'm doing the same with my 6-year old son.
@@Swedwoods Curious if one day you'll show how you're keeping things like the meat you bring in fresh. I can't really picture you with a cooler full of ice, but, I imagine if it snows you can always use that as a source of cold. What about now in the Summer?
@@eventsmorewithchrisg in summer eat meat day one or bring it frozen wrapped in newspaper and eat day two...(If you ask a question on another persons comment I do not get notified)
@@Swedwoods A little more OOOMPH & you may've snagged that island in front of you while fishing! On a Roebuck, granted it's not exactly the same thing, but way back when, what's Sears department store now used to be called Sears & Roebuck's. I remember their really old Christmas catalog that used to come out every year in the 70's as I grew up. There's still a few Sears stores around but they're getting more & more phased out. Going back to that little island in front of you while fishing, have you ever tried camping on it or is it a situation where it may go more underwater if the river / lake water rises? Anyway, cool stuff as usual!
Great video, brother! Not only do enjoy your videos, but I learn from them, as well. I have a forested mountain directly behind my house and I'm up there overnight many a Saturday. ... and I always love to practice the skills I learn from your videos. Keep them coming!
A few more ingredients and you’d have campfire Beef Wellington . Become so accustomed to the little blue cup . Using coals makes sense to me if you have the time . Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Wishing you and the family a safe vacation. Have a great evening
Que buena experiencia en la naturaleza, belleza y paz.Lindo gesto al alimentar a los perros Seres generosos! Se disfruta de verlos.Saludos desde Argentina.
hi big man - i was not sure if that beef would be cooked enough bit it was perfect :) the wee bird looked like a tree warbler which we get in the highlands - another nice video mate :)
Beautiful location. I m senior citizen don’t want to sleep on a wet ground , it makes my bones ache! But I have a tarp and emergency sleeping bag + couple of mylar blankets in my oh sh*t grab bag. How do you manage the wet ground beneath you? Wouldn’t a small tent with a complete floor protect you from wet / damp earth better than just a tarp?
Your camping is very attractive!🏕️ I was impressed.✨ I have not camped on the day of the rain.☔️ I think that it is very difficult.😮 You are so tough, and smart.✨ Your video became the splendid hint.🔥 It will update my camping.☺️ Thank you for your wonderful activity.🇯🇵
Denne hadde jeg ikke sett før. Bruker å se alle du lager. De er virkelig bra. Jeg lurer på hvor du får ideene til noen av de tingene du gjør, den måten å lage kuksa på var jo genial 😊
Thanks for sharing your camping trip, definitely going to be trying out the meat wrapped with bread, that looked amazing. Love the views you recorded along the way, nothing beats nature.
Enjoy your time with the family thanks for at least one more before you go! If there was anyone who would make a deep woods wellington... why not you? 😂😂 now I want one
Hi, thanks once again for your efforts. I like the simple method of the "Y" stick on the canteen cup, not seen that before. Those have to be the worst handles and will burn even through gloves because they are so low down near the fire. Hope you have a great time up north with your family. Take your camera equipment though as you might get the chance to film something. Only saying this as I had a emergency gall bladder operation 2 weeks ago ( the surgeon said 24hrs more and it would have killed me) and they have said that it will be months before I will be able to get out and about. Finally have you tried crumbling blood sausage ( black pudding) into your bread dough. It's really tasty and is a full meal in itself. Many thanks John UK
Ready made tarp frame...nice. Meat and bread wrap was inspirational, looked good. Tried carving kuksa's before but wrong wood used, turpentine taste terrible. Great filming, amazing how steady the drone is in those winds, rock still. Taking the family up north eh, getting away from the bugs..enjoy your vacation. Thanks for the video and work Swed, much appreciated and well done. See ya next time.

The fishing spots always remind me of summer trips to Minnesota to fish for northern pike. Great memories 🤩
There's a few like this out & around Massachusetts as well.
Excellent Video, every High Point reached. The Ritch and Tranquil environment is Beautiful. 🔥

Thank you so much Swedwoods, exactly what i needed in a world turned upside down. God bless you brother.
Your example has motivated me to do more silent videos when I come back to UA-cam! Thanks for letting us hear nature and not a bunch of talking.
One of the top three ideas I have seen!!!
The soundscape on this one was beautiful, the wind, the birdsong, pure serenity.
I love your videos. So authentic and only natural sounds. And your stuffs looks really often used.
