I already knew which one you’d choose. The idea of a Land-Cruiser is that it does EVERYTHING. You’d still prefer to drive a Civic day to day - it’s just easier and it does the job reliably.
I love how you compare the screen real estate of both devices by showing the same app. And you really took time to discuss the difference in a practical sense. A lot of tech creators just showcase b-rolls of these devices with their insane setups, cool cinematography, and camera angles but they don't make an effort to tell us how the essential apps look and feel like when using them.
Same - picked up one last year and no regrets. Pocketable, decent camera and enough power to do what I need. If I need to do real work then I can use an iPad or Laptop
Yeah I have a 12 mini, and every time a new phone with cool features and better hardware my first question is always, "how big is it?" I never liked the trend of phones getting bigger but clearly the market is going the other way, I don't understand how a device that you are supposed to always have with you has to get bigger instead of getting smaller. in 2 year span I changed from the iPhone 12 mini to the 13 pro max to the s23 ultra and now to iPhone 15 pro and even show sometimes I miss the capabilities of the s23 ultra, I really love the light and compact feeling of the normal pro device... in the video you mentioned a really important thing no-one ever says when speaking about a device, which is physical hand pain when holding a big cungus phone for more than one month in a row. It's incredible the video was recorded in the iphone 15 pro. Any like small content creator or any content creator really doesn't need really need any dedicated cameras to make good quality looking videos anymore. If you had not mentioned it was recorded on a phone, my brain wouldn't even think anything special other than the video looked really nice as per usual.
I noticed that clip with your wife holding the phone with the weird holder in the dex video. i was so confused as to how it was so stable and the amount of confidence she had in the way it was held. Now it makes sense. Its such a cool product
Thanks! I found the Qin 3 Ultra 5" inch on the internet about a week ago. I hope that small smartphones with good batteries, good cameras and long security updates will be built again. And if it doesn't sell as well as hoped, they should release a small smartphone every 2 years. 5.4" is a really good size!
The mini/smaller phones are great for daily comfort. I believe what pushes most people to get the bigger phone is the FOMO. Especially if you only upgrade every few years. The choice for the smaller phone is made from love, and for the bigger phone is made from fear. Great video. SAMSOONG DIX lol.
You should consider buying a folding phone, more convenient/compact 1 handed use with the cover-display, and you can use the unfolded display for the multi-tasking, full-featured version of a phone

I gave wife a Samsung S24 to replace a IPhone 14 and I got a S24 ultra for myself! These phones are great. I love DEX and it's faster then my two year old laptop. I rarely use the laptop anymore an am thinking of selling it. DEX isn't perfect, it lacks some of the codex for multi-media. Some of my videos don't show video, only audio. I got the 512GB verson and put 200GB of Music videos and MP3s on it. I connect wirelessly to my smart TV and use the S24 as a media player. At the pool I use it to play music, 24GB of music can play for 5 days without a repeat. Samsung knocked it out of park with this one. Best device I have ever bought and well worth the money. 5 Stars!
I have a 13 Mini and the reason I bought it was because of its convenient size. The fact that it has a powerful processor and a decent camera is a bonus. I really enjoy your UA-cam channel content. Always humorous. Thanks for the clean fun.
I also use an iPhone 13 mini along with an iPhone 14 Pro. I tend to use my 13 mini when im out and about and my 14 pro when im at home. My main phone is thhe 13 mini. Love that compact form factor especially as you mentioned if required in the gym, i too use the 13 mini only. Minimalism at its peak with the mini... Shame that the phone is now dead.. no more mini...

I'll take the SUV over the compact though, as it has it all and I don't mind the larger size. I see people straining on their smaller devices and enjoy the screen real estate, multitasking, battery life, etc. Screen is amazing. Regarding glare, there are a few anti glare screen protectors on the market. I have one and it did not compromise the excellent s24 Ultra screen. Magsafe, there are cases for Ultra 24 that have this. I'm using the one by Torras and it is not only magnetic but has a fold out kickstand. Could easily attach a tripod if needed or battery pack. Sadly, there are not too many mag safe style wireless chargers. Found one on Amazon and it works well. Charges phone using the magnet, so the phone is propped up. Great for the nightstand or desk. Also charges the buds on the base or another phone and in the back charges the Samsung watches. So yeah, all available just need to hunt a bit more for the magsafe stuff. Keep up the fun videos. I used to have the 13 mini and LOVED the portability of it. However, I realised I use my phone for social media (instagram and youtube) and been wanting a slightly bigger screen size! Upgraded to the 15 pro and never looking back!
After using a MOFT MOVAS vegan leather case on my iPhone for a while, I'm extremely satisfied with its texture and thinness, definitely recommend getting one for everyone

Comfort is the key. That's why I still can't let go of the S10e while I have a S23 already. However most people prefer larger phones because they do everything on their phone and a larger screen and battery more than make up for the loss of comfort. I use tablets and laptops, and my phone is not for watching horizonatal videos or documents. However I am in the minority. Most non tech people use their phone as their main device for everything
@@Jantcha I agree and I more easily understand in children which are only allowed to have a phone (no tablets/laptops), but adults I have a harder time... but that's the reality I see. I guess I shouldn't care, but the effect is that small phones are disappearing...
Made the same mistake, got myself an iPhone 15 plus as I wanted to try the biggest phone from apple. After 1 month sold the phone and went back to my trusty 13mini. Of course the things I miss from the plus phone was the “immersive” screen with the Dynamic Island, the extra brightness and of course the battery which doesn’t die. But I would swap all that for the mini’s one handed goodness. Never going back to a big phone.
I thought for sure you were gonna pick the 15 Pro at the end lmao - also bought a 13 mini because it was the same size as the S7 that I was replacing after 9 years, and aside from the absurd impossibility to transfer files onto my non-mac computer and the fact that half the apps only exist to extort you into buying cloud storage, it feels like a barely faster slightly brighter version of my 9 year old phone. Still not sure if that's good or bad hahaha. It even charges slower than the old phone. But hey, it's small! Solid video as per usual!

I never put a smartphone in paints like that, always used some sort of bag (also for keys, and so on) so portability never been a problem
